Samsung Galaxy S ii in china. How to Root/ or at least instal Google market

Hi,
A friend got a Galaxy S ii form China and i just saw it has NO GOOGLE APP, not even google market.
I want to root the phone but it has CZKG4 Gingerbread i am updating to CZKH2
1 how to root it? where can i find the kernel?
2 is there a way to install google apps without rooting it?
thank u guyz.
1. use chaindire method to root. Just send him the kernal from kh2 and ask him if he will make a cf root for it and then find it and follow instructions in this thread.

2. you should be able to download the apk on your pc and use kies to push it to your phone to install.

I used Odin. Easy to find. To be sure, I would look around in the SGS2 forum.

Of course not. I did not think ..
I'm looking for a method to root without Odin (as one clik root in GB) to JB to work on different types of devices.

[Q] Rooting Samsung Galaxy S II

Hello.
I need access to a file, but on several sites on google - all say that i need to root...
So i want to root my phone, but still keep the "official" android (dont want CyanogenMod etc.)
But im really insecure on how to root my phone - and how risky is it?
Can you please provide me with a guide (with pictures please) on how to root it.
PS: Can i still update my android, if i root the phone?
Will all the data on the phone be deleted? like reinstalling windows....

You should have posted in galaxy s2 section but:
You can keep stock android, just follow this link to root your S2 and it will be fine. There is also video tutorial in the link
You won't be able to update your phone with Software Update but you can always find the latest firmware for S2 from SamFirmware
The sam firmware website is where you can find all the stock firmware for the S2
Your files will be fine such as music pictures etc they will not be wiped and it's not risky to root your phone with the link above
If you have any other questions just ask

If you have Samsung Galaxy S3 I assume you have followed this guide:
How to root Samsung GALAXY S3 (i9300)?
If for some reason this tool doesn't work with your device or your current firmware you could use VRoot tool.
You can also check this guide too:
[One Click Root] How to Root Android Devices (VRoot) Method
You can always use Odin to flash a recovery and root your official rom with a SuperSU zip and after that you can reset your flash counter by using Triange Away app (for warranty purposes).
You can check those guides too:
