Dock with usb OTG - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Accessories

Just wanted to share this. I've got the usb OTG working on my samsung dock, next step will be to get it to charge and do OTG at the same time, I'll update this when I get around to trying that.
All credit for the original pinout goes here: Make your own cables
Just in case you can't see from the picture here are the pins I used, 1 on the left and 12 on the right.
The 20k resistor is between pins 1 and 4.
USB 5v pin 8
USB D+ pin 10
USB D- pin 11
USB Gnd pin 12

I was trying to do the same and found these links:

But I could not make it work. I hope you have better luck.

Pin 1 = 30 Shield Connector
Pin 2 = 28
Pin 3 = 27
Pin 4 = 13
pin 5 = 19
pin 6 = 18
pin 7 = 17
pin 8 = 6
pin 9 = 7
pin 10 =3
pin 11 =4
pin 12 = 1+2
This is the full pinout of that 12pin connector. (Found in the thread I linked to before). Hopefully I can use pin 9 on the 12pin for power without messing with the otg but we'll see. I'll let you know if I smoke my tablet

well you can get a long mini usb cable that long and then get the little mini to micro adapter tip for it and it would work just fine!
canadiantire.ca has some interesting usb options.. do a search for usb they have some plug and cable assemblies that could be of interest.
Search Ebay (UK) for leads: USB 2.0 A MALE to MICRO USB B MALE DATA CHARGING CABLE (item 290441711518)
And Mini Car Charger USB Adapter (item 390250810047)
Cost peanuts
there are many usb car chargers that are simply a small cylinder that practically fit into the cigarette lighter hole and have a standard female usb plug on it. you could get one of those and a micro-usb cable separately however long you want. be warned though that some universal chargers do not work with our phones as they sense how they are being charged by resistance over the data pins.

Softbank X02T unbrick workaround

I sent my phone to Vietnam to unlock. I guess they could unlock (I’m not sure because, right now, I have no way to check). As a bonus they changed my rom to English but when i got my phone on my hand, I found out that pin 1 and 2 were soldered, the battery was used up (voltage was less than 3V) and it was not charging. I managed to charge the battery externally and after putting it back, when I pressed the power button, the green light blinked once and turned off. After some searching in the forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=680927), I found out that shorting pin 1 and 2 can wake up the phone and I could start my phone. Then I found out a easy way to do that. Here is the way I'm doing it now.
1. Solder pin 1 and 2 with 2 small flexible wires like the picture

}
2. Insert the sim and battery normally ( see the picture)
3. When starting, connects the two wires and press and hold the power button until Toshiba logo appears
4. Disconnect the wires and use the phone as normal(if you don’t disconnect, it will not charge).
Now you can charge, you can flash any English rom, do all the normal operations. Only drawback is when restarting, you have to open the back cover and connect the two wires again and disconnect.
Hope this will help unlucky X02t users until someone comes up with X02T's rom

[Working] HooToo (HT-CT01) Micro USB OTG + 4 port charging hub

In an effort to streamline my adapters & cabling behind my TV, I decided to purchase this hub. What attracted me to this was the combination of OTG + charging/powering capabilities. This hub is perfect for charging/powering usb-connected devices (i.e.-miracast adapter, chromecast, cell phones, tablets, & gaming controllers). Around Christmas time, I picked this up on sale for about $14 with coupon code.
Pros
Charges/powers up to 4 USB devices
OTG works!
Pros
~1ft USB OTG cable
Must use super short provided cable for OTG
Only one port on hub is for OTG
OTG port plugging into the Nexus Player is in the front
My biggest gripe has to be the super short cable provided. When I first purchased it, the cord was too short for my liking (approximately 1 ft). Because of this, I went straight for my micro USB cable I use for my OnePlus. For some reason, that didn't work. I didn't think to try the super short cord. After nearly giving up on it, I gave the short cable a try. Naturally, that cable worked. To make up for the short USB cable, I used an old 3 ft USB extension cord I had lying around. All in all, I am happy with this hub.

USB Host and full charging at same time. v2

Our device is already quite old, but as a navigator or a video monitor in the car, he is able to perform its wonderful functions.
I wanted to make it work in the USB-Host mode and simultaneously charge current of 1-1.5 A. I tried different schemes, firmware, kernel.
That scheme, which allows the USB-Host and full charge at the same time.
Simple version:

Complicated:
I used a reed relay type 2A and 1C.
After power on, 3pin and 4pin Samsung 30pin connector via resistors 33kOhm and 10kOhm are closed on the + 5V and the Gnd, the tablet starts full charging.
Push the button, self-locking relay K1, as well as closes 13pin through 20 kOhm resistor to the 15pin. Relays K2 and K3 switch 3pin and 4pin Samsung connector to 3pin and 2pin USB.
If the power is turned off relays K1, K2 and K3 are opened and the next occurrence of the power tab becomes full charge mode.
Capacitor C1 0,03F will delay the opening of the switch for 3-4 seconds, and allow time to safely remove the USB drive (Tasker: power on, usb drive on <- script / run shell / command: service call mount 7 s16 /mnt/sdcard/extStorages/UsbDriveA).

docking station that fits the mate 20 pro?

I have a docking station based on USB 3.0.
it has the following inputs:
5 USB 3.0
DVI, VGA, HDMI
AUX
1GB Ethernet
micro and sd card reader
And a single output: USB 3.0 which plugs to my laptop and shares everything.

(the blue cable is the USB 3.0 male to male from the docking station to my laptop. the black one is type c for charging my laptop)
it even works if I plug it after a USB 3.0 to type c adapter
illustrations:
I tried to plug the huawei the same way, using the adapter but it didn't quite work
the USBs and the aux worked but the monitors and ethernet didn't..
I'm pretty sure its because the windows laptop downloads drivers when you first plug it and the huawei doesn't.
* just to mention, plugging the huawei directly to hdmi adapter (the same golden one from the pictures) and through HDMI cable into the monitor does work and brings the EMUI desktop mode.
I know that there are other docking stations based on USB type c (USB 3.1 or thunderbolt 3), but if I'm buying a new one I wanna make sure it works with my phone as well..
Does anyone know about a docking station that works with the huawei mate 20 pro?
