[APPS]Must have Apps for the HTC One X+ - HTC One X+
Hiya everyone. This type of thread isn't new to XDA as it's on almost every device fora, but I decided to bring it over here aswell.
I'm going to share the most useful applications to have on a HTC OneX+ and would like you to share your must have apps. If an app gets mentioned by numerous people, that isn't on this list, I'll be sure to add it.
Power Toggles - This is simply the best toggle app around. Able to toggle lots of main features.
Picsay Pro - This is a brilliant photo editor, but limited compared to some others. My personal favourite.
Rotation Locker - WYSIWYG. It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Really useful on some apps.
XDA App ICS Blue Colours/Themed - Our favourite forum app but with a complete red or blue colour theme thanks to our own Whiskey103
Memory Usage - Lists all current apps and tells you current memory usage, peak memory usage and priorities.
Desktop Visualizer - Makes shortcuts or widgets using a custom image and can be used to make custom icons.
Neutron Music Player - Neutron is a professional music player with amazing high quality. Great for audiophiles.
SuperSU - SuperSU is the Superuser access management tool of the future. *ROOT*
ROM Toolbox Pro - ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, ROM Manager and others. A must-have root app *ROOT*
AirDroid - For moving files between your PC and phone using WIFI
Tasker - The best app of its kind. It does almost anything
MXPlayer - MXPlayer is one of the best apps for viewing movies.
Photo Timeline - Lets you create a time elapsed sequence of anything you want with your camera and then play as a slideshow
Home Switcher - Switches between any Home Launchers you have on your device.
PicSpeed Wallpapers - Over 170,000 HD wallpapers of all different genres, for our device.
Solid Explorer - Solid Explorer is a file manager which with two independent panels is the most attractive, eye catching and intuitive file manager for the Android.
QuickPic - An alternate photo gallery app, incase you don't like the default
AdAway - AdAway is an open source ad blocker for Android. *ROOT*

CPU Sleeper Quad Core - Since we have Quad Core CPUs, we have a CPU 0 and a CPU1/2/3, core 0,1,2,3 while the screen is off we really only need to have 1 core active "CPU0", this App will make sure CPU 1/2/3 shuts off while the screen is off, then resumes normal usage when the screen comes back on.(You need to pay for this app)

I use it instead of WhatsApp, because I feel it secures my data more than WhatsApp.
It isn't very popular atm, but I think it's an real alternative to WhatsApp.

WARNING: If your battery life turns to crap after installing a bunch of these programs, Winamp is probably the culprit. I installed a few weeks ago and my battery life suddenly sucked. I used the system monitor app to see what was going on and found that Winamp was taking huge amounts of processor time even though I had only opened it one time and wasn't using it. Huge battery hog. Unistalled and I'm back to good/great battery life. I highly recommend that system monitor app if you've got battery issues. Much more reliable than the built in "what's using my battery" screen. Turn it on in the morning and by afternoon you'll know what's killing your battery.

A few I'd like to suggest: Mixzing Media player (one of my most used apps, Media Player lock-screen widget for free.... sickness!) Elixir - uhh don't really know how to describe it but guess it's like a consolidated widget for your system settings (like CPU usage percentage, internal memory, etc), customizable to your liking Smart Taskbar - Taskbar that is active in all applications so you can quickly open up its app drawer by touching the icon that is about this big [] on the right side of your phone

Catch is a very useful note app. You can #tag notes (this makes it really easy to find specific notes), put them in certain folders which they've named 'streams', you can do voice notes, picture notes and reminder notes. Best of all, it's backed up onto cloud storage so you can back it up using your Google account.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus - Tips & tricks
Hello to all, here is a list of Apps and suggestions for those scandinavians who have an Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500, bought overseas. It can also be used by others Adobe flash player 11.1, speak for itself. Adobe Reader, for viewing PDF files on the Go - I use it for bus and train schedules in PDF format. Barcode Scanner – George android, nice tool. Curvefish 2G-3G OnOff, this one is recommended since in some countries it cost a bundle in 3G charges when Google's App's are sync'ing in the background. This one allows to turn of 3G with just 1 touch. Curvefish Wifi OnOff, turn wifi ON/OFF with 1 touch. Chikka, nice messenger for sending sms to mobile phones in the Philippines - for free. The recipient is charged a small amount for replying. De gule sider, nice App for looking up contact info about businesses and people in Denmark. DR radio, Denmark Radio. Facebook Messenger, a little less anoying than the facebook App since you don't get notification - only messages. File Expert, nice filemanager which also allows you to use your phone as an ftp server. Filippino Free, nice translator. Flashlight HD LED, extremely nice App which turns your camera flash into an flash light, nice when you come home after dark. FX, nice filemanager that also allow you to see and interact with you shared network folders in your home network. Gmail, speaks for itself. JuiceDefender, this one will save you alot of batterytime. MoboPlayer and MX Player, can handle almost all video and music formats on the planet -alot better than the stock player. Ninesky Browser, the best browser I have come accross - And I have tried them all. This can actually play streaming videos from other sites than Youtube, and that without jitter(depending on your internet connection). Opera Mobile, this one is a better browser if you are doing netbanking. This one is not so good for playing streaming video - use Ninesky. Set Locale and Language, this one is recommended if you native language is other than english - just remember to check if your language is supported. Skype, speaks for itself - has a tendency to hang when making a call skype to skype, where only option is to turn off your phone(hope this will be fixed in the future). Also has a tendency to stay in the background eventhough you have exited the program - rather anoying. SMS Classic View, this is a very nice App, it gives you classic view of Inbox, Draft and Sent folders, where you can find ALL your messages. This is better than the stock SMS messenger that only allows you to see the most recent 5-7 messages. Super Backup: SMS & Contacts, very good tool to keep - it gives you a chance to backup your contacts and messages to your SD memory card. You can then send it to yourself via email. Should you loose your phone and get a new one then you can restore all with the same App. TeamViewer, this one allows you to remote control other PC's - I use it to remote control my laptop when in the garden and I like some music and when I do some support on my GF'S laptop(when I'm in Denmark and she is in the Philippines). Scandinavian Keyboard from Trygve Aaberge, this one replaces the english keyboard with one that has scandinavian keys. This one can be used for people from Denmark, Sweeden and Norway. Hello all, I'm a user of Mobiwol on Android 4.1.2 GT-N7000 (no contract). I spent a long time creating a a lot of block rules on anything deemed unwanted or unnecessary for connecting online. So far, nothing is broken, except this new game I installed called Muffin Knight. You see, I like its cross-platform multiplayer feature, but somehow it won't connect without Mobiwol disabled. The application itself is allowed on Mobiwol, and the firewall logs provide no useful info. There's a notification stating that "You are offline, Feint requires an active network connection" though. My question is: what did I block that is required for Feint? I don't want to go through the whole list and test each entry. I'm hoping that the xda-dev community will provide a simple answer, since you guys already know how to disable it right? Here's my blocklist (excluding third-party apps and games): Active apps manager, Android Live Wallpapers, Aurora2, Blue sea, Calculator, Camera, CapabilityManagerService, ChocoEUKor, all clock widgets, com.android.backupconfirm, com.sec.android.app.FlashBarService, com.sec.android.app.minimode.res, CoolEUKor, EnterprisePermissions, Face Unlock, Favourite Apps, FlashAnnotate, FlashAnnotateSvc, FM Radio, Gallery, Helv Neue S, License Settings, Live Wallpaper Picker, Messaging, Microbes, Mini diary, Mini S Note, MusicFX, Music Player, My Files, Ocean weather, OmaDrmPopup, Paper Artist, Photo wall, Polaris Viewer 4.1, Preconfig, RoseEUKor, S Memo, S Note, SASlideShow, SecWallpaperChooser, Serial Number Read/Write, ShutdownApp, Swype, SyncmIDS, SystemInfo, TalkBack, Task Manager, TestService, Trim, Try pan, Video Player, Voice Recorder, Windy weather Click to expand... Click to collapse Okay, it's worse than I thought. Even Samsung Kies is affected. Still with everything allowed I cannot connect to my Android with other devices. I believe it has something to do with either built-in incoming block rules, or the way the app uses VPN. Anyhow, I'm uninstalling Mobiwol, because there's no point having a firewall you have to sometimes disable for things to work.
