Hi All,
I Wrote an Aroma Installer so you can now pick and choose your modifications and launchers. Please do a full wipe
I called this Lifeless to remove most of the bloat and LG launcher but still keeping LG essentials. It's not exactly AOSP, but it's something
Aroma seems to be freezing up on people with ATT devices. I'm working on this. I restored the link for the people who have had luck

Recommend TWRP and Backup
1. Wipe Caches
2. Factory Wipe
3. Install Zip
4. Restart
5. Let ROM sit for 5 minutes
6. Restart Device

Please tell me if anyone runs into issues. I don't have the ATT LG Optimus to test this on. However, you shouldn't run into issues?
my phone shows the normal google with unlock lock.. then it turns off the screen and nothing...
been 5 minutes and still black screen like its completly off
and i cant get back to bootloader > recovery

Soft keys are the last option during the build.prop tweaks.
Next release I'll make it a different option.

i used twrp, when i installed the rom it worked the first time, then i disabled softkeys and didnt boot so i think i messed up the settings so ima try again and ill let you know

Yeah i installed twrp 2.3.2.3 and it working now
first thing that happen is "unfortunately system UI. has crashed"
2 minutes and it still says "unfortunately system UI has crashed"
its on a black screen but phone on with buttons with light...

So after just having this phone for 2 days i seem to mess it up bad... The phone is stuck at the 1st start set-up with every warning sign in the world..i cant even use emergency dial... please i need help...

Try downloading RSD Lite and the stock SBF file from within the threads and flash that
Your not bricked if the phone turns on it's savable. Are you able to get in recovery?

yeah i did the android recovery and wiped everything. it wont let me install from my sdcard either..... the warnings are... the process com. android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, the application calender storage, application suggestion poll scheduler service,... try again try again try again =(

This is why you are getting force closes. All you need to do is get into recovery wipe re-flash the rom then read the instructions from the alien rom thread and boot into the system and flash the theme in another recovery session.
i did and you dont have to use the theme if you dont want... but being who i am i had to try it out and see how it is... for alll i know i did everything correct i been researching for at least a week for this phone...
Try MR3 and run it in RSDlite

My gf has a samsung galaxy gt-s5839i 2.3.6. .I want to root it since yesterday but its not workin.
I got the root.zip file . whn I install that zip file in recovery mode everything goes okay and it shows installation complete. but after reboot im unable to get any superuser like app.
Also I checked it with " Root Checker" but its showing Your device is not properly rooted.........
I have tried many time even I haven't slept last night just because of it...
There is a supersu app as a system app she told me it was already there when I bought it.im feeling so helpless..
Please help me as soon as possible...

Anyway, try another root zip file
And SuperSU never comes along prebuilt in the app

Did you reboot your phone after rooting?
You might have to remove your battery too, not necessary, but better
And SuperSU is superuser.SuperSU is made by another dev, that's all

You unfortunately cannot use link2sd with stock ROM
The other thing is that even a swap file is a bad idea on the 5839I
If it is on stock ROM , bricked one already.
Dont think I will worry about it again but you should try root validator instead of
Root checker I think some apps only like superuser and dont always recognize
SuperSU you can get a flashable zip from chainfire's website if the zip at the start
Of thread wont work, easiest way to check for root is probably to try and install
Busybox by the way,
One more thing, there is a file In system/etc that prevents apps to sd by
Deleting the apps to sd files at every reboot, could this be your problem?
Samsung were a bit naughty about things when they set the
firmware up
You can delete it at your own risk, did it myself last time around but to be honest I have some fifty odd
apps installed and after that the phone lacks internal memory anyway, samsung
Havent actually done too bad a job once you get rid of the added bloatware
I hope this info helps, and on stock ROM you also have to reflash CWM everytime you wish to backup or restore through ROM manager,

have realized since last post on this subject that as long as you don't try and instal apps 2sd script you CAN install link2sd and its working i also now realize that current kernel which is called Redbend UA has ext3/ext4 type support and since succesful install of link2sd have freed up maybe 40mb of internal memory.
I also wou.ld recommend Imbawind Adrenaline boost script v3 search xda for link to download. next thing is to deodex ROM so i can apply new jelly bean style i think. I have debranded ROM after CWM backup so can restore if needed .
Thanks to all the developers and people brave enough to risk bricking there devices because of all these people devices are getting better and
thanks to samsung and htc etc for listening to the consumer and making sure the changes others make are streamlined into there ROMs the new galaxy is much quicker than the old one Thank you.

This mod alter Search key as Recent Apps button so you don't have to long press the home anymore. Credit goes to evilisto and his marvelous mod!

WiFi not connecting
My wifi is not connecting, did a clean install wiped everything, tried fixing permissions but that broke data entirely, anyone else having this problem or anyone know how to fix it?
Ext SD mount doesn't work.Only Internal SD mounting.To mount Ext SD,have to go to Recovery.
Donno this is a bug,NFC always ON.Doesn't it eat battery?

Idk if this might work for you but it worked for me. If you nandroid backup your cm 10 clean install cm 10.1 and advance restore your data it should work

I think you downloaded the wrong version of cm10.1. i made the same mistake. dont click on the first build which is the january one. download the third one listed

To navigate to both sdcard you just need to enable advanced mode in the file manager. Or, download es file manager - which is free.
NFC turned off for me or at least it seems.
But yes battery life isn't lovely but I can't say. It might be my fault.

firstly download cwm recovery for cyanogenmod 10.1 and
download cm 10.1, first flash cwm.zip and again flash cm10.1
also.then you will recover your phone to cm10.1 os.
(Or)
If u want to install custom rom download your custom rom and custom
recovery and flash custom recovery and then custom rom.then your phone can recover.
if you want to install adw lancher and uninstall original lancher then your
download titanium backup. apk and uninstall original lancher as pre install app
and install adw lancher and go into titanium backup and convert pre app to post app
then the app is convert as a app in rom
and do nandroid backup it is useful.

Try Re-locking your bootloader or flashing a recovery using Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro by despotovski01 If that dont help ill upload a bootloop remover tool for you

I Tried Both Of Them! ,, but didn't work! ,, please upload this bootloop solver although i don't think that's the problem ,, i mean i already did "fastboot erase cache" and "fastboot erase userdata" and even "fastboot -w"! ,, what could be the problem!

Ur right. I never knew that that vroot was harmful. I been using that for my spreadtrum phones and it works fine. I use it cuz I can't find the drivers for those devices. That program helps my PC recognize the devices. I am here to help..I know how frustrating it is to find solutions on here, so I'd thought I'd help. Thanks again!
