Google Talk App? - Nokia Lumia 920

Is their an app for google talk on the 920 or in the market place? My friend likes to use that with his phone S3 and I would like to reply to his texts.

Search for Metrotalk in the appstore.

Talk.To can be used for Google talk and it has push notification

Exactly. Smh
I guess that explains this:

Ridiculous.
I doubt if i will be using this application. I rarely chat on facebook. I play Mafia wars only.
I left Facebook off my phone last time I upgraded my rom. Best decision I've made in a while. I use G+ and Gtalk, which is an excellent messaging app.

Haven't logged onto Facebook in months. It has a bad air about it. Been using Google+, but huddles isn't my thing. Talk is good enough for me.

Not going to use this... Don't like to have my messages stored on some servers out there that I can't control.
I'm not really comfortable with facebook chat apps.. Is like a way to invade your life from the comfort of your smartphone =/

Is there any chance that BBM will come to Android OS?
dude, whatsapp is better but you must wait when you will the Black berry Messenger it's not out know i've googled it ^^
guys I know, whatsapp is better. even chaton is better.
but the boss just sticks to bbm, so if bbm will come to android, i won't have to buy a BB (actually my company buys) otherwise I will have to carry 2 phones thats why I'm asking.
you can try ChatOn. it can be usig iphone, blackberry, bada, android and web.
WhatsApp can be used on all platforms aswell
having to use BB just for the BBM most be frustrating. Explain him that there are other messaging services that are better.
It's all to do with critical mass, that's why people are using Facebook.
We now have a choice of a few good push Over The Top (OTT) instant messaging services now.
1. Beep from IM+ - I personally like their app on Android.
2. WhatsApp
3. eBuddy XMS by eBuddy
4. Nimbuzz
I don't have any strong affinity with any of them, however I ended up convincing a friend to use WhatsApp on their BlackBerry, because I have few other friends on it, just to avoid the hassle of checking three different services.
I don't see why Google, Yahoo! or Microsoft don't turn on push, which will level the playing field.
It's very tiring being online everywhere.

[Q] Best stocks app?

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you investors know of a good app to monitor stocks along with a nice widget?
My older brother recently gave my 5k and is teaching me how to invest and manage the funds. So now I need an app to effectively monitor the investments.

TD Ameritrade has to 2 apps, 1 works with the rezound the other didn't. I use that cause thats where I have an account.
There is also a Google finance app.
Or you can just use the the google.com/finance web page with a bookmark, the webpage gives real time prices, and so will ameritrade if you have an account.
The free widgets and such just use yahoo or googles web pages but they are on the 15 min delay.

[Q] Email Question?

For the HTC Email stock JB 4.1 app, on some emails with web links in the body of the email the email app doesn't give hyperlink. I have to copy it then open a web broswer, then paste, etc. Also, say i get a package confirmation email with a tracking number. On my iPhone the tracking number was a link directly to UPS and my package so i can just tap that tracking number, web browser opens and shows tracking status. Again HTC mail app fails here and have to copy tracking number, open web browser, to to ups.com, paste tracking number, etc to do the same thing. Is the HTC stock email app just not that smart for such simple requests/features that i would think would be standard by now?
The reason why i use the stock email is because i have both yahoo and gmail accounts so this email app groups them into one inbox so it's easy to read having this one app in the dock. If i didn't use the HTC email app then i would have to put both yahoo app and gmail app in the dock wasting a spot since the dock only allows 4 apps.
Anyone know a way around this or maybe a better email app that can group several accounts into 1 inbox like the HTC email app and offer hyperlinks to all web addresses included in the email body? Maybe asking for a tracking number hyperlink is too much with this device, lol? Thanks
I think you can blame Apple for that. Lots out there about it.

Blame Apple for spoiling me with their email app. Wish this HTC one had more features or could find one that does :/
Didn't know there were links problem with HTC stock mail app, but, i've also notified that this app is not as smooth as it looks since you can't choice push synchronization, you have to choice a period of time or the smartsync (wich works like a ****)
I'd prefer to use HTC mail app than Gmail app, since htc looks better, but well... gmail default's app works much better.
Maybe you can try other mail apps like K-9, for example
I have never had this issue with HTC's mail app.
On my old phone, I would use Enhanced Email. This is a very nice paid email app that can deal with the security that some exchange serves have.
I poked around in my settings looking for something that might cause your problem, but I couldn't find anything. If no one here suggests something useful, try stopping in the ATT store and having them look at it, or call 911 and explain the problem there.
Having played with my girl friends iPhone from time to time, I have always found the Android to be a bit better.
Also, afaik, the only way you get true push mail is with an MS exchange account, or using a Blackberry.

Found enhanced email and using the trial version right now. Offers a lot of features the htc stock email doesn't and seems like a winner so far. Thanks guys

HTC email app provides the best features. Try to sync reply status on the iPhone, or try to set out of office with any exchange email client. Push is no longer a problem since the original HTC One X issues. Also, the productivity lockscreen (which is the only reason I have a HTC phone other than any other android phone) only works with the stock email app. I used EE for push while HTC fixed their issues, but I couldn't see my messages without unlocking my phone and I hate to go through putting in my unlock code to realize it was just the latest junk email. I have found that the stock app has more features than EE especially with an exchange server. (Except for bypassing security, which is not a good idea anyway.)

I'm actually using a Droid DNA on Verizon, but I found this thread while searching for an answer to this same question. I came from an HTC Thunderbolt and the hyperlinks in emails worked perfectly. I'm trying to find out what changed to remove that feature!

Well they sue everyone under the sun. I'm shocked they haven't sued anyone for having a store with 4 walls.
The patents in question include: (1) the ability to unlock the phone by sliding an image; (2) the ability to search for information via voice commands; (3) making use of data as hyperlinks; and (4) searching across multiple sources to find information. Apple argues that all of these features are ones that customers expect from Apple products. In other words, they are unique to Apple products.

How To Guide More than 5 App Notifications

Little Trick!
In order to receive more notifications than the 5 you set yourself, you have the option of loading the Blackberry Hub+ and the associated services from the PlayStore. You can manage many accounts there. works perfectlyfor me!

Isn't it just a notification 'watcher'? Those apps would still need to show notifications to appear in the Blackberry Hub+ inbox???

No, the hub accesses the accounts directly, not the system.
Is like your mail program that accesses your mail account.
Look on Screenshot, it is Not the Gmail icon at the top.
I can't see a way to configure WhatsApp for example - surely it requires me to approve access or hook it up somehow?
I must look and test it, the N is not my daily driver.
WA is at the time on iPhone.....
Most of the chat apps (WhatsApp, Line...) Have auto-start set by default (without being one of the 5 custom auto-start apps), and therefore notifications will show, and be 'captured' by the Blackberry Hub. But for example, I just added Google Chat, which DOESN'T have auto-start set, and it doesn't show in Blackberry Hub, because there are no notifications...
I'm not sure I like the solution or workaround of yet another app to deal with notifications that should be a standard solution, aka OS and base UI API, from Google AndroidOS itself.
I'm fully aware of BlackBerry and its history, yet how up to date is this BlackBerry Hub and what's the official word from BlackBerry update future updates? If nothing official this would be a temporary solution.
Is Oppo taking user feedback on all channels (aka official support forums, support email/phone, twitter, etc)? They already have a global 'Ambassador' program to help launch and sales of the Find N2 Flip.

CN ROM have limitations because Chinese app developers are garbage that stuffs apps full of offer notifications auto start and push for more monetization.. if u seen the china app market, it's 90% junk apps there that ask for every single permission possible to harvest ur data and sell openly to the big firms..
I tried this on my Find N2 (fold) no luck in getting other apps configured to receive notifications - the only one I could get to work was GMAIL..
Anyone else have any luck in getting other apps working using the Blackberry HUB such as Facebook etc?
Cheers FROSTY
