Yeah I did a full wipe
I am using Siyah. Running slimbean 3.1 and trying to run slimbean 4.2.1 Rc on second rom.
I have redownloaded slim bean 4.2.1 and tried to install it again. But the same thing happened. A screen with Android over and over again

yeah my morning breakfast for today. Gonna download and let my phone have it
edit: the file name has att and tmo. is it only for at&t and T-Mobile users or will it work with any kind of s3 (international)?

Welcome Faux . Okay guys, for anyone having problems with the lockscreen shortcuts being cut off on the bottom, you need to either do a clean install, or not use the bottom sliders. Siyah 1.8.9 is working fine with this rom, the Dark Slim bean framework mod from slimroms.net seems to be working fine as well. I was able to dual boot Slim RC1 (dirty flash) as my 1st rom and Slim RC1 (Clean install) as my 2nd rom and that worked fine, not sure if running 4.1.2 as 1st and 4.2 as 2nd works, don't think it does. And don't forget to flash the GAPPS from the slimroms site too.

Is there anything drastically new?

Depends how you look at it. It's a whole new version of Android, so yes. New animations, new lockscreen, that's what you'll see first. Not to mention all the changes under the hood, all the optimizations etc etc.
EDIT: Also, here's the NFC fix I used (Works for me) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969275 if someone could flash it and report back after testing it with an NFC tag or something that'd be good.

Hello to everyone. I have big problem. Installed it on clean system (odin restore to factory, etc). And now i cant connect to any wi-fi router / hotspot (on sammy it connect without any probs). Is there any fix of it?

So this is Slim Bean 4.2.1 OFFICIAL release. This is a new base as we have started from a completely clean slate AOSP source and included most of our features within.

Also keep in mind that this is RC software features and performance will vary as we get closer to the stable releases.
BUG REPORTING?
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Be sure and use the Slim Gapps posted on the OP.
I had some compatibility issues when I was using another version of Gapps - I didn't look to see what the main differences were , I just know that after I started using the Slim_Gapps I had no more Play Store compatibility issues.

Amazing ROM.. Not a single bug apart from TV out which is not supported. Even SMS works flawlessly... Just one question, how can I hide capacitive buttons light?

Okay..I'll try to explain as good as I can =)
In SlimBean .. The ROM size is minimum and almost everything inside is PURE Google .
SlimBean is based on AOSP Source which is sort of different from the CyanogenMOD's source . [Correct me if I'm wrong]
So for the gapps .. You can't use the OFFICIAL gapps provided in http://goo.im/gapps ... It is sort of different from the Slim's one =)
That's why you will face Playstore issue when you flashed the official gapps instead of the Slim gapps =)
Another reason is .. SlimBean is using SlimDPI so in SlimBean you'll need a MultiDPI Playstore =) It doesn't included in the Official Gapps but in the SlimGapps =)
[Any question you can ask in this thread .. I'll try to answer if I'm able to =) I'm a SlimROM user since it is released for I9100G =)]

As for WiFi .. You have to check your Router status if it is up or down =)
Or simply check your phone for the WiFi Region Code =)
It is in Setting > [ASS]Interface > Wi-Fi

Is the capacitive button you mean is the Back Button and Menu Button's light ?

I've got a problem with the camera ... in that I have no camera. If I try to open it I get a box pop up saying "Camera error - Can't connect to the camera".
Coming from Omega V11 (where my camera worked) I did a full wipe (factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik cache and formatted system) and installed the N7100 device file and the inverted gapps package. I reinstalled a bunch of apps with Titanium Backup, and have since rebooted several times and run fix permissions in the recovery (TWRP v2.3.3.2). Still on the stock kernel.
Any thoughts what the problem might be? If need be I guess I can always start again from scratch and see if the camera works as soon as it boots for the first time.
Also - the OP thanks simone201 in the credits for helping quite a bit. As the kernel is a slimbean kernel, does this by any chance mean that the kernel would be modelled on simone201's neak kernel? I'm curious as when the slimbean started compiling their own kernels, on the I9000 they had the source for Stratosk's excellent Semaphore kernel and compiled that. If I remember correctly that is - don't shoot me if I am wrong. I started trying the neak kernel out on Omega v11 only 24 hours ago and it was giving me smoother performance than perseus, which was in turn giving me smoother performance than stock. I'd be happy if neak was the base for the slimbean kernel

Is it normal that there isn't any bootanimation. That don't really bother me but alot of persons could think their device are not booting. Anyway, thanks for this rom, it seems really amazing.

Sorry i basically copied the owners its using devil with cwm 6.0.3

Thanks for the quick replay I'll be trying it as soon as it downloads, phone is slow to download and work blocks the download for some reason... bout half way there though and excited to try it out. Is the bluetooth working ok or do I need to flash your fix with it?

no bluetooth is fine and you can flash my pa downgrade zip let me link it up there if download fails from that site you may use goo manager either way you'll receive ota updates from goo.
edit: Its in instructions note this zip was made to address pa problem not mine nor owain's it basically removes new pa prefs app and uses the older one that worked better

So far it's looking great. The only 2 things I am seeing is a HWA settings force close and the stock email app (the one called email) force closes when trying to add my gmail account. other than that seems pretty smooth

im not getting that what gapps are you using and did you wipe all three before flashing

i don't have force close in Hardware Acceleration. but i got force close in email after i put password (sign in).
advance wipe before installing. i use gapps 230301. do i have to use pa gapps?

I haven't attempted the email thing yet I'll see I used regular gapps . weird it does but that's PAC email app

Just to remove confusion about settings they are in domination tab and at the top tabs you can swipe over its at least 6 in each section there are more than enough settings and this ROM has built in gestures no need to pay for a launcher . its impossible to explain all the features one could enjoy just download and get dominated.
Going to test slim email , fix build error or is it me and merge some more cm things and have fun.

So I think the issue I had with hwa setting was due to flashing TWRP 2.5 that had a devil kernel in it... working great now except for the email app.

Very glad, just wish it had twrp with it. Im not used to having the recovery flash with the rom. Is there a specific reason for having the recovery with the rom, or just a preference of the dev? I know when i have compiled for my tablet or used roms for it the recovery was separate. Not complaning one bit, just genuinly curious

Not a preference this was my beta as he just updated his source. I could build with twrp and the fascinate can't flash just recovery you have to flash the whole boot.IMG something I didn't know when I first got this phone.

Me too going to do a new update with twrp 2.5 then. Also im using slim email app and see if it works I had a log cat of the fc don't remember what it said but I was an error.

Bugs:

Launcher is a little slower cause it's touch wiz, but transitions and apps seem to be about the same

Its looks like multi window. I am looking for some thing like gplayer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gpc.myweb.hinet.net.PopupVideo or floating browser. so i can use any thing as floating window.

Only a few apps won't open in floating mode. All mine do

I installed the last version and i'm getting No OS installed. Are you sure you wish to reboot?. Then, the cellphone just stay on the galaxy logo screen without ever starting android.
I have the same problem with every other 4.4.2 rom... tho, atm Cyanfox 2.0.1 is the only one i can run on my phone.
I have TWRP 2.6.3.0.
Anybody have any idea why this happen?

1) installed samsung 4.1.2 firmware
2) installed CWM codework with ODIN
3) installed the KK CWM compatible zip
4) installed Cyanfox 2.0.1
Everything works fine so far
but i install Cyanfox 2.0.2 and the cellphone never pass the galaxy logo at the start.
I tried installed other roms but sames happen, the only one that is working right now on my phone is the Cyanfox 2.0.1
Any idea?

Love the ROM so far but the only thing I don't like is the hangouts and dialer apps. Iv tried google and found loads of zips and apks but none work to get the old dialer back . -_- i did manage to get the old sms messaging app back though. Anybody have the stock dialer apk?

Never had any issues with installing
Try to do this steps :
Install latest cm10.2 nightly
Reboot to recovery
Format system, data, cache, dalvik cache
Then install cyanfox

The old sms messaging app is available onthe store (8sms)
Try to search on the store to find some dialers that looks similar to the old dialer
Or get used to the new dialer it's much more better

Sorry if the answer does already exist but can you tell me if this rom have ribbon ? Come from vanilla rootbox and I like this option .

Some suggestions.
Well here are some suggestions for this ROM:
- Being enable to toggle AM/PM Indicator for Lockscreen Clock / Status Bar Clock
- Some feature from Paranoid where you could change the Resolution PPI such as 240P/360P/720P
- I can confirm that DorimanX v60 kernel works great on this as I'm using it on both my Samsung Galaxy S2's (GT-i9100)
Other than that, everything else is great!
