My new HTC Desire V got damaged with water. Service center say the motherboard is damaged, and will cost INR 10000-12000.
The cost of the phone is INR 16000.
What should I do, please suggest.

i mean i changed it due to touch problems... and nothing was fixed... or is it mainboards problem??? I really need some help here because i was about to sell my TD2
All the ones on Ebay are fakes. Trust me I got 3 before giving up and picking up another TD2.
When you say fake you mean that the digitizer is NOT WORKING???? or it is just of lower quality???
Just lower quality, i bought around 40 digitizers for topaz on ebay, all worked fine , just push a little harder...
I had same problem and when i changed digitizers it didnt work, so i guess its a motherboard problem???
I am not sure if those are fake or not... but are very cheap in cost point of view. When I had digitizer issue I got it replaced in HTC Authorized Serv center even if that is costly.
It cost me around 3400 INR including Service Charge of 1300 INR (Mine was a Non-Indian edition device so it cost more for service changes else it could be 250 INR only). So the actual cost was 2100 INR (Digitizer including the metal frame comes as a part) and was very good as there is no issue after replacement.

Digitizer and LCD screen of my phone cracked yesterday and I took it to Sony service center and they asked INR 8000 for the repair which is quite high compared to the INR 12K price tag of the phone. So is there any way I can get it fixed without shelling this much amount or if any one of you have non functional Neo V with both these things intact I can buy at a nominal price.......please suggest.

I broke my z ultra screen 2 days ago and now i want to replace it ( possibly by myself cause high price ) but i haven't find anything on the internet.

Have anyone ever tryed to replace it?
Will it be still waterproof ??

a month ago i broke my xperia z ultra digitizer while i kept it in my backpocket. the lcd is working perfectly. but due t technical reasons u'll hav to replace the complete lcd+digitizer, u cant rip off oly the digitizer.its kind of nxt to impossible. the replacement of the screen is not tht easy as it is shown in different videos available on youtube. moreover u need to buy adhesive tape for the frames to refix the glass panels after u rip them off with blower.i would suggest get it replaced by some good technician. i got mine replaced $170 from local technician. the sony service centre asked me for $400

Mine was repaired by Sony Center for 170 euros.
It came back with front and rear panel changed and the little cover for USB connector repaired.
It's brand new.
But it's still locked to my operator
One hour ago, I accidentally broke my moto e gorilla glass! The touch is working fine, but the glass is shattered, my phone is already out of warranty and is rooted! Is there any way to change the gorilla glass? How much it will cost me just to change the front panel? I know they cost 2500+ for replacement of glass and display, but I have only my front glass broken, the display digitizer is working fine! Should I buy the above glass and fix it on my own? I think I can fix it as I'm a electronics engineering student lol! Or should I give it service centre, I really don't wanna pay 2500+ for my 2 year old 7,000rs phone!
Called near service center, they cost 4,000 lol, a 4,000 replacement cost for a 7,000 phone?

I did, from the Nagpur Service Center.
Its the best service, but they do charge a lot.
My device had broken both sides glass and screen was non-functional, they charged 8k INR.
Repaired it in 2 hours.
Side note - Teh chick was cute lol, even got her number
