What is Famigo?
You know how some ROMs include a lot of pre-installed stuff and get bogged down.Well, we believe in no bloat, speedy usage, and minimalism.
We do this by removing all unnecessary apps that you can get from the store (like the Calendar app) or features that add design but no functionality (like the Color and Photo Daydreams).
We are based off of PACman so you have the best of AOKP, Paranoid Android, and CyanogenMOD plus our customizations. We also pulled the AOSP keyboard from Vanir as it is slimmed down and removes trackers. Add Superuser by ClockworkMOD and Busybox and you have one complete rom!

Famigo (New Version Based on SmoothROM):
Version 1.0:
General Improvements
Based on SmoothROM 5.0 which is based on AOKP/Android 4.2.2
Dropped "ROM" from name and resetted version numbering.
Removed some AOSP-Only apps like News and Weather, Movie Studio, and Sound Recorder.
Updated a Line in the SmoothROM updater-script that still said CM10 Kernel.
Used an image optimizer on some of the Images to save some space. (Cause of this the Boot Animation doesn't work... Will be fixed in next release.)
AROMA and Apps
Kernels: Removed Motley, M-Kernel, LeanKernel as Tests have shown bad performance or battery.
Browsers: Added Opera Beta as a Browser choice, changed Chrome to its beta counterpart, and removed Stock Browser as it is out of date badly and you can use Boat for flash... (NOTE: Opera already released an update since build... Will be included in next release.)
Moved Extra Wallpapers to a section.
Added an Xposed Framework section with a few mods*
Added a Backup Apps, Music Apps, App Stores, and Keyboard Apps Section. (One of the keyboards, Siine, already got updated... Will be in next release.)
Reorganized Extra Folder Structure.

Can you add this in your title. Thanks in advance
It will be more easy for recognized what rom is for Grouper only, or both

Would love to see some screenshots.

Looking good! Downloading and will try soon. I suggest you add more kernels to choose from (some people prefer _motley, M-Kernel, etc). Franco and Trinity kernels are good, they just don't work for everyone. (I'm not saying myself, I liked Franco and Trinity.) Will give noob (commoner) feedbacks later.

I used to have them in the ROM but I removed them cause tests shown they either had bad performance or battery life.
Also I was trying to save space since I was adding all of the extra apps.

Yea, that seemed logical. I am trying it now with the uprising d.more kernel and it works fine. I will test it more later after I finish my work. I'm not sure how benchmark scores give feedback, but I'll run Antutu on it. So far, I am liking your ROM. (I didn't install all those extra apps though, I liked it clean and light).

No problem! I usually get 13.4 to 13.5k with stock settings. I got around 3k with 3D rating. Trying it now with some apps and it works real smooth.

Yeah the wallpaper change came as a side-effect of switching to AOKP... I am at School now but I will see if I can re-bundle the wallpaper in a future release. It just won't be the default.

Turbo UI is a hybrid MIUI/AOSP ROM modified to my own preference, perhaps you will like it too. The ROM is in ongoing development by myself and while out of beta, may have minor issues here and there. If you have any bug reports or suggestions at all, please let me know! Thanks
Features
Based on Jellyzeus and official MIUI 2.10.26 for the Galaxy Nexus
Louder Jellybean Mod included (with xLOUD working)
Most UI redesigned to be blue-on-black instead of orange-on-white (*not* a theme, direct framework edits)
Hold volume to skip music tracks (thanks to CyanogenMod)
SoMa (Xperia) font
Latest Touchpad Fix (thanks to farenheith)
Zeam Launcher (replaces MIUI Home)
Stock AOSP Browser (replaces MIUI Browser which is incompatible due to lack of QCOM Tile Rendering support)
Disabled scrolling cache
4-way reboot
Control Panel (MIUIAustralia.com), several MIUI icons moved from Launcher to Personal tab
System package signature comparison disabled
Service writing LMK values disabled (allows my optimizations to work)
Google Apps included, DeskClock from 4.2
My usual tested optimizations and enhancements I do but may forget to list
Maybe other things that I can't remember
Status
Green: Complete
Brown: Has issues or untested
Red: Broken or not finished yet
Not listed: Untested
Calls, texts, 3G for GSM (have not done heavy testing, needs more)
Multiboot-aware
All sensors (including proximity)
CDMA addon (beta, needs logcats if any problems)
Camera (Legacy) (Thanks to Wedgess and FXP) (No Panorama)
Browser and Web rendering (One small issue, see next section)
Sound with with decent stock-like headphone volume
xLOUD enabled (uses ICS Audio blobs from stock/prebuilt)
Google Apps included
Wifi
GPS / Location services
Bluetooth
Touchpads (Lag reduced but not eliminated)
Native Wifi Tether
Google Now Voice Search/Recognition
?
Bugs/Issues
Some parts of the UI may still have theme issues, please report them if not listed:
- Theme Manager app (only minor that I could not find styles or smali for)
- Messaging (SMS/MMS) app (to do)
Screenshots
Download/Instructions
It is recommended to use Turbo JB Kernel since this is what I always run (and tested on), but you are free to use any other new JB kernel at your own risk. Install the ROM the usual way via ClockworkMod Recovery.
ROM is installed as normal.
Download Turbo UI r4 @ Mediafire
Download CDMA Patch r3 @ Mediafire (Same as Jellyzeus - install after main ROM)
IMPORTANT! After install, go into Settings > Sound and adjust all your volume. They are set to 0 by default (even though it says it isn't). So just change all the bars to anything to get it to work properly (unknown cause).
Changelog

I'm pretty sure this was covered on one of the 100 pages of the CM10 thread, but I couldn't find it. Will we ever have Project Butter butter on any of the JB roms?
If I'm not mistaken that is pretty demanding so the Play might not be able to support it, or am I talking out of my ass?
Keep up the good work, cheers!
Best theme I ever seen
Anyway you mentioned potential colour problems earlier.
Settings > Apps is one of them
Edit : To speed this ROM up a bit.
Developer Options > Force 2d GPU Rendering
Also
Vmheapsizelimit = 40m in build prop

Probably not, the kernel is too old and the RAM requirement for triple buffering might not be worth it anyway. With that said, the intellidemand governor in Turbo kernel has dbus_input ramping which is
ported from project butter governor.
With that said, this and mist other JB ROMS have a much faster UI and use less RAM than any ICS ROM. Apps load and transition super fast.

GPU rendering is already forced in egl.cfg. Capping dalvik will break some games.

great to see more work from you but I have a problem
seems I can't get any signal at all on my phone :S did a manual APN settings just in case but no signal at all. (EDIT couple of reboots and it's suddenly came back! weird but working lol)
And selecting launcher settings from the settings menu force closes the settings

Interesting so changing dalvik can break games on ICS And JB?
BUT NOT GINGERBREAD?
Strange, I swear I never ran across an issue on 40m Heap size (instead of 48m) but that is Gingerbread O am speaking of though.

About Installation
Do NOT flash Mods or Themes unless they say CleanROM ACE 4.7.0 compatible!!!!
Clean flashing is the only recommended flashing method! Anything else may lead to problems!
If you have problems go back and wipe data and re-flash. Do not report in the thread until you do so!
If you fail to wipe Clean or you choose to restore data / apps or anything else from back up apps like Ti Back up you will suffer from a seriously degraded experience!
If you flashed a Mod / Theme or Kernel do NOT report any bugs until you wipe Clean and re-flash with only options included in the ROM!
Do it by hand or dont do it at all!

If you choose Stock Animations then you can use THESE animations!

CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are build from source. Absolutely build from source based on CyanogenMod 7.2 and modifications form AOSP, AOKP, and Paranoid etc.
Play more with ROM
THIS ROM IS ONLY FOR NOOK COLOR (ENCORE) AND NOT FOR THE OTHERS
YOUR DEVICE'S ANDROID VERSION MUST BE GINGERBREAD 2.3.4 OR ABOVE
DO A FACTORY RESET/FULL WIPE BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM
FLASH VIA CWM RECOVERY OR OTHER CUSTOM RECOVERIES
IT'S RECOMMENDED TO NOT USE ANY APP2SD SCRIPT
DO IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK

This is my first source-compiled ROM port and thread, so, sorry if I disappoints you.
And please correct me if I'm wrong.
May I ask for your opinion about which dpi suits NC the best? 160, 200, or 240?
What's working :
Everything not listed as bugs

Bugs :
- Statusbar trackingview (the bottom part and background of expanded statusbar) doesn't resize like the top part of expanded statbar and its contents when it's in landscape mode.
- Some lockscreens doesn't resize according to screen's lcd density. They only look nicely at 200 dpi. Well, LCD density changing is NOT officially supported. So please tell me which dpi suits NC the best
- Boot animation and shutdown animation looks crappy
- Sense lockscreen is buggy (well, it's still beta, I mean the sense lockscreen)
- Tell me.

How to do so :
1. Run Android Terminal Emulator and type "su", then tap "allow"
2. Type "logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt"
3. Wait for a little while (maybe around 10 secs) and stop it by pressing Vol Down + C then exit by pressing back softbutton.

Thanks for your review.
Have you done a factory reset/full wipe of /data and /cache before flashing this ROM? If not, you can try it now. And if it still doesn't boot, can you please upload the logcat? And also what ROM did you use before this?
I'm sure I've wrote in the first post that you need to do a full wipe before flashing this rom (well, after flashing will do just fine too) and it has to be gingerbread or above before flashing
I guess I just had a bad flash. But this ROM is cool. Its like AOKP, but based off CM7.2. The UI is as close to ICS as GB can get. The performance is on par to mirage. The settings can get a little confusing. There's a lot of UI tweaks. ICS Navigation bar. Pie Navigation. I like it. I like the DPI at stock. The default Make's it seem to big. The ICS navigation bar icons are blurry. But outside that everything is perfect.

Yeah the icons are blurry, because they were made for 480x800 while NC is 600x1024. I'll resize them later.
And by stock do you mean 160 or 240? Well, I got my NC from my uncle, It was already flashed to CM7 with 160 dpi as default. So I don't know how it was on the stock ROM ._.
Anyway, for better 3d performance, please remove "0 0 android" line from /system/lib/egl/egl.cfg
Be sure to leave an empty line and don't touch the powervr line.
Or just flash the flashable zip I attached at the first post.

Yes, as what I wrote in the first post. It's based on CM7.2, so it's gingerbread, with ICS/JB feel (well, not completely but it's enough for me )
I like this ROM. I'm shaving very little issues. Most issues are related to the UI tweaks, but that expected.
This is ny new DD until CM10.1 gets fast enough for me.

I would recommend using the latest MiRaGe kernel regardless of KSM. We tried KSM with CM7 and found that it is useless with Gingerbread.

Just useless without modifications in dalvik-vm. The simple modifications we tested in dalvik-vm were too simple and made the system worse. My conclusion is that full Android 4.0+ code base is necessary/ideal to use KSM.

Oh, so it makes the system worse. Thanks for your explaination
Wait, shouldn't there be no problem if the kernel does support it but it's deactivated? It's deactivated by default anyway, so users can choose to use it or not. The reason why I still put it in the ROM though it's useless is just because I want to bring the full feature of the ROM.
Edit : Alright, I get it. Too much feature, specially the unused ones will only slow down the kernel, right? Thanks

What is it and why a CM 9?
Jellybean, in my opinion, despite what the masses will have one believe, is a buggy, slow mess on our device. Whether it's a 4.2 AOSP or 4.1 TW. I've run both for weeks at a time, and every time that new-car-smell wears off, I realize that I'm sacrificing speed and stability simply to say "I run jelly bean!" Although I very much hope those intelligent, compassionate, and diligent devs keep working on them to overcome the CM kernel mess of the past few months and Samsung's gimping of our 4.1 FW.
This Kang is all CM9's stability, speed, and battery life with all the, imo, meaningful enhancements from 4.1+. If you're frustrated with JB builds or you want to give your old Note to a girlfriend/wife/mom that isn't so hot with technology, this ROM is one you can put on it and not worry about, while it still being so tricked out that it will impress even cutting edge Android dorks from XDA.

Whoa! Where did this come from?!?! Definitly Giving this a go! Thank you! But a trusty friend dev of mine is making cm10 4.1.2 with all the sources added so no reboots!
I must wholesomely thank you for this. I love jellybean both Aosp based and TW, and love the devs who pump them out. Because of this I've flashed EVERY rom that has come through these threads, old and new. There are a select few JB roms that are "stable" and plenty speedy, but I didn't realize how well equipped ICS was for our phone until I recently went back and flashed an old ICS rom...best choice ever. Now I am going to be giving this a go. Much appreciated man :good:

Nevermind.
Flashed this ROM on my SCH-I545 and have had the boot animation for about 10 minutes. Granted, I didn't wipe anything first because I'm used to LiquidSmooth where it wipes whatever it needs to wipe (just system partition?) during the install.
I'm guessing I needed to wipe system first, so I did battery pull, booted into TWRP, factory reset, wiped system, installed ROM, and it worked.
Now to play with this awesome ROM! Thanks!
D'oh! Can't believe I'm just seeing this. Can't wait to get it installed. Thanks, Nitro!
Is the camera this slow on the normal S4 GE phone? Holy cow this is nearly unusable. Takes around 2 seconds per pic at best. So much for rapid shooting.
I looked for the TouchWiz camera in a flashable zip and found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341770
But it's for the i9500 model and breaks this ROM.
Anyone know of a camera app that will take even just 5 pics a second or something similar to burst mode? As it stands, my GNEX from 2011 takes pics about 5 times faster than my S4 with this ROM
Everything else about this ROM is stellar and I love it! Thanks a bunch. I imagine I'll just have to wait for people to figure out how to port the Sammy camera app over to GE ROMs. It appears to be fairly difficult or impossible. Maybe I'll go check out a slimmed-down non-GE ROM so I can have a good camera until the GE ROMs get one that isn't so unbearably slow.

Camera FX Zoom in the playstore has quite a few of the same features as the TW camera. It's my go to when I'm running AOSP base.

It is slower but not unusable.. I am going to try and work on the TW camera though as it is much better.
You can always run my TW rom.

This doesn't happen to have "quiet hours", does it?

Unfortunately that is a CM/AOSP feature. My AOSP Eclipse has it but the camera is broken.
