Micro hdmi replacement - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hey everyone,
Has anyone replaced the micro hdmi port on the prime? Any part numbers for another hdmi jack would be great.

I don't use mine that much but I have noticed that it can't take much stress before losing picture or audio. I'm just really careful when using it. Is yours completely dead?
As you can see in this x-ray picture of a Prime the HDMI port looks to be part of the mainboard. You got to have the proper equipment to de-solder/solder at this level.

And yes, those are STEREO Speakers in the bottom right corner. :good:

I can handle the soldering just wish I knew which type of Mico hdmi it is. Many different designs.

Headphone Jack Accessory

Just thought I'd share with you guys my new purchase. It is a 3.5mm headphone jack plug in cover. Keeps your headphone jack clean of any dust and debris while being stylish. This is the Android version with the little Android robot as the figure. The colors it came in were pink, silver and green. This silver guy matched perfectly with my white Evo 3D. The company is Hashy and their website is http://www.hashy.com and the line is Plugy (It's Japanese)
I apologize for the huge picture.

I saw those on Ebay the other day. They look kinda big though.

Actually it isn't that big. Here is a pic of it on my phone.

I think I'd be concerned about damaging my headphone jack with something like that sticking out if it all the time!

I got this one and it works perfectly.

interesting, how big is this? I don't see dimensions on their site. I have an Azio that's the perfect size footprint-wise except i wish it was thinner.
It's not a nomad one, quite big & heavy (about 2kilograms) because designed for htpc home/sofa use but I also carry it along my laptop.
About 30cmx19cmx3cm. Quality all in one product.

What are the dimensions? And how practical is it to do word processing/programming on the go with this keyboard?
Thanks!

[SOLVED]Really bad touchscreen when charging

Hi, I'm using SGS2, and it has really bad touch sensitivity when charging.
I have pics to describe it.

Also, sometimes touch screen dies, and I can't even scroll the screen.
What can I do to improve touch screen sensitivity when charging?
p.s I'm using XWLPG firmware and Siyah Kernel

A faulty charger can do this. Try another cable and socket.

Oh, I think the socket is the problem.
I didn't know socket also effects the touch screen. Thanks

Dropped my TP; Is the screen hosed?

The touchscreen works, but this is what everything looks like now.

Is it a goner? Salvageable? Time for a Nexus 7? Any insight would be much appreciated.
I think its time to move on, unless you have warranty which u obviously don't since you wanna salvage it ._.

Checkout the iFixit app or website, it explains in detail how to repair it .
Open 'er up. At the least, you'll have a fun project for the weekend. If everything goes to hell, wait for the Kindle HDs to be reviewed and go from there.
Loose connection
Most likely the connection between the motherboard and the LCD has loosened. Take out the ribbon and put it back in.

Wireless Charging MediaPad X2

I believe this can be done quite easily and cheaply with a wireless receiver attached to the microusb port and stuck to the rear metal exterior shell of the phone. (My phone is then in a case so it would not be seen) . Then place the X2 on a transmitter pad and we should have wireless charging... No more plugging and unplugging .. Anyone like to comment ? ... Not found a suitable supplier of a receiver yet.

What do you think about this case. I cut the speaker hole bigger like the rest of the cases.
