A new app called Quick Translator that makes use of Optical Character Recognition is going to be included and will take not only words, but also entire sentences and phrases and translate them from nearly 44 foreign languages to 64 user languages. Other items such as Quick Memo and the My Style Keypad which can detect left or right handed use have been included as well. The only thing missing is a release date and region listing.

This app is the only reason I'm still on stock rom. I use it pretty often to translate Russian to Estonian.

I have successfully installed both apk's however the Dict when I select the free dictionary and download completes then the app crashes.
I am on LG G2 and Cloudy 2.2.

There are plenty of links for LG Notebook. But quick memo has some dependencies in the framework that aren't present in AOSP.

I tried downloading several it just says "Application not installed." I seen a flashable .zip file for the SGS III that has the Noteboox app.. but im afraid to use it, because the update script, binary is for the SGS (not sure if that makes a difference). I've learned not to flash things from other phones. Is it safe for me to flash it?

The permissions for it now is rw-rw-r--
should it be rwxrwxrwx? and/or any special permissions?
All of the other apps in /system/app are rw-r--r--, should it be that?

The apps would need to be modified. The apps call for resources in the stock framework n systemui. You'll have to transfer those resources to the apps them self n change any internal link to the new location of the resources. It's been done but it's allot of work.

Thank you for explaining this. I used the method I described to pull DSP Manager from one ROM and put it in another one. But this is obviously more complicated.
Edit... Mystery gave me an idea and it seems to have worked, pulled apk from gnex zip and installed it.
After tinkering for awhile using a terminal emulator, somehow I have the LG Notebook app. I've noticed a few bugs but all are really really minor. I'm trying to figure out how I did this but it worked somehow.

The differences are the AndroidManifest.XML files and the working apk has a file called libpolatispdfexplorer.so (Notebook.apk/lib/armeabi/libpolarispdfexplorer.so) I think that might be something necessary for it to work.

[App] QRemote for AOSP based ROMs

Web Presence:

Installation:
Boot into recovery and flash QRemote_V500.zip file.
Download:
HERE
Issues:
You may have to browse to /system/etc/init.d/ and set permissions for file 100Remote to match other files in folder. I had issues at first with proper file permissions so I update the install script but during my testing the Remote program will run even if I do not have proper permission for file.

Is it possible to add Vizio the list of TV makes? This worked great before I moved CM11 and now that I am on CW11 I would love to get my QRemote back but this version post does not list Vizio tv's. (The version that came stock did)
If it helps, I have a backup of the stock rom I made before flashing.

This is not even working fully yet. I lost track of this due to working on GPE ROM. When I have more time I can check why it is not fully working.
From what I have seen the only way to ad other devices would be for LG to allow it. LG encrypts their IR blaster so only devices listed in the quickset device profile work if LGs IR blaster unless someone can crack the encryption. You can search play store for quickset and install the version from play store to see if it has more devices but IR not working yet on AOSP based ROMs yet.

Oh okay, I take it the reason it was working before is because then I was on LG's ROM not an AOSP rom? If this is case, would the backup I made of the LG ROM be of any use? I could pull out the quick remote app or something.
I don't know much about coding for android devices but I can still help. Let me know what I can do to get this project rolling again!

I no longer have v500, returned it and waiting for my v510 to get here. Hopefully we can figure something out that works on both models.
If you check in the G2 themes and apps forum there is a way to get QRemote working with AOSP ROMs and maybe the same method and/or files will work on G Pad.

My friend got it working on his g2 by just download an apk, but trying to put that apk on a v500 (running cm11) unfortunately does not work.
I reckon you'd need a lot of LG framework in order to make this work on AOSP. I wont stop you tho, would be neat. ^^

Is it avilable to connect in lg?

yes youll need to download these files

http://www.mediafire.com/download/b7f3u44krt8boot/Samsungapps-1.apk
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ryxsxpnndps5g3y/SamsungApps.apk
im not 100% sure why but i needed to sideload both those Samsung apps apks, they are different sizes i think one is the services apk and the other is the official app, the Shealth app is for tracking your health you wont be able to log into samsung account as you dont have a samsung phone but just skip that step, once you load the apps apk search for Gear manager. hope this works as i never tried these on non galaxy s5 but i read a few places it should.

It's hard to see, but it's in the minuum settings. And when you have it up, you need to just swipe your finger to the left to 0, and the default vibration value on minuum is 150.
