That was the only rom I ran for more than a few hours on my Bionic, switched it up to AOKP for my RAZR Maxx and always went back to AOKP. On this phone I don't want to give up a few features, I wonder if he'll keep the useful stuff like multi Window and pop up browser.

Lol more like warp speed seriously guys Nitro is a beast and is killing it! It will be coming soon. Sorry guys not trying to tease but Nitro has put in a lot of work and I will not spill the beans.
So my intention was not to tease you guys. However I just wanted to bring the good news to those that knows Nitro's work and many of you expressed kind words on my previous post that was closed because it was labeled as a bounty when people wanted to speed things up and get eclipse on our device. So we continued to make it happen on his own website.

Nice to see Pyro on the forums... This Rom for the G2 is blazingly fast and I had lower battery drain... can't wait to test it on my new blue dot nook color.

Thats probably why. It's not out and they are impatient. Also we had another person a couple months ago make a post about a Rom that he hadn't got working and never did get it working so some like me might be a little weary. It wasn't me who gave you one star though. You have a track record so I will be waiting to see what comes along.

It's stock theme, but if you've read the OP.
I said I fully optimized all apks, so it's crazy fast
It's not the theme that makes a rom faster it's how well you do things to make it faster

I need to ask a noob question. What does it mean to have an sd-ext partition? I am running cm7 from internal memory, and have a uSD card.

It's stock themed so that means it's the same theme that cm7 has

In recovery advanced menu there's an option to partition your sdcard, when you went into that you'll see an option for ext size, just pick 1024mb for that and swap at 0 and your good to go

I will try it out as well - currently on CM7.0.3 OCed to 1.4 GHz. Just want to check if your ROM is OCed as well - can live with most of the stuff except that I need the ROM to be OCed you see . Let me know please !

I hate that I forget about that. It seems like it's been out for a while now. That's on other carriers though.
There's always MiHome to keep you sated until the full ROM comes out, in case you weren't aware. Comes with the lockscreen, too.

My upgrade date isn't until January 25th. I'm really hoping some headway is made on this before then. I'm sure a lot of people, myself included would be very inclined to make a nice donation to anybody willing to work on this! The AT&T group seems to have made a TON of progress on this, so maybe some collaboration could be done with them to port a "final" build over once they iron out the kinks?
I ported miui to the sprint galaxy note 2 CDMA and if you guys want to use that as a base to port over I don't mind ..so far everything is working on the build ..you can look at the sprint thread and its miui on stock base with working multi Window n s pen features

That's awesome. Since I've moved over to Samsung I've been enjoying jb touch wiz and haven't really missed miui. It had that appeal to me because it looked and somewhat performed like ios but now I think tw is far more superior in performance and cosmetics than ios/miui. I'm really liking the one handed operation that tw offers. I'm not sure that miui offers that.

If you flash the MIUI Home zip will you then have the option of choosing between it and your stock home? Or does something else have to be flashed for that to happen?
Hey everyone, I'm moving from my Galaxy Nexus tomorrow to the Note II. I'm new to the Note II community (obviously) and my purpose in creating this thread was to get a feel for what ROMs people are using. This thread is NOT for bashing any ROMs, and not for arguing.
If you would, please post what ROM you're using, and a reason or two why you like it.
I understand some people are against this kind of thread, I'd just like to get a feel for what aspects' of ROMs people enjoy, since the Note 2 is a unique device.

The two I'm familiar with are cleanrom and beans, cleanrom has the same look as stock with everything cleaned up and a few custom options while beans is stock with aosp theming and more customization. I like both but I've been on beans for a while because I like the aosp look. I was on cleanrom for a long while before that and it was great, I just wanted the change in look haha

All have their merits... all are good ROMs. I'm on Jedi right now and really liking it, though. But you can't go wrong with any of the four I listed above.
i also recently made the switch from a galaxy nexus ive had the note 2 for about 10 days an im jus in love with this phone.i use clean rom lite touchwiz has really grown on me so i jus wanted sum stockish but debloated of sum crap.no issues yet an so happy dat i dont find myself flashing roms every other day lol!
I only run beans ROM. I helped that man get his footing going with development on the GSIII and he by far had the best ROM for that phone when I left it a week ago. Love his styling.

Just wanted to say, gratz! I moved from the GNex to the Note 2 myself, just this week. WOW I love it. I miss the onscreen nav buttons and the branding free front face of the GNex but thats about it. The Note 2 is amazing. The battery life alone... holy cow. My Gnex would require charging by midday and a battery swap in the evening when I got home. LAME.
Anyway enjoy the new phone! I will be interested to see the recommendations as I too need a good first ROM.

Yes, the nav-buttons will be missed, but i'll be super stoked not to have to manage my battery life all day!

I might go for the LMT launcher for that PA pie.... It's a nice feature. There really isnt a need for the nav buttons, I just wish samsung had put the back button on the left side and exchanged the menu button for recents.
I came from the GNex as well. With Beans and Nova Launcher, my phone looks exaclty like my GNex did..only bigger and badder in every way shape and form! :good:

And also to get the lock screen clock to change you have to go into settings, lock screen widgets, clock or personal message, and change it from personal message to clock. Save then go to clock size and change to large. I themed normal size also but in my opinion large looks better.

Ok then we know 1 rom that it will not work with then. I actually heard tho that it works fine but you have to make sure that there are absolutly no other themes or mods flashed prior to flashing the theme.

Sorry I dont remember them. Maybe cause huperdrive 10 has the note 3 ui which is 4.3 im guessing or at I think

Ya thats def the problem if its running 4.3. I have made a theme for 4.3 but havent released it yet. I plan on porting all my themes over when the official release takes place and boy let me tell you that I am not looking forward to it! Its gonna be a pain in the ass!! I appreciate it though bro. Good lookin on the heads up.

Well the rom is still 4.2.2 just thinking since the note 3 ui is 4.3 tw that was the problem. Sounds like ur gonna be busy for awhile lol. Np yw man.

I appreciate it bro...I had to google what yw meant lol...im not good with abbreviations. I have a theme that I would like you to try if you dont mind since your on hyperdrive. I think this theme shouldnt have any fcs. If you dont mind flashing it for me let me know and I will pm you the link.

Do u mean on hyperdrive10? Reason I ask because I bought the LG-G2 and I was rocking it for a while but no nice themes. We need u over there puff lol...I came back to my s4 til more development picks up if it does, if not its okay cus u guys do enough for us. Anyways my s4 is on hyperdrive 9.1 with jordan theme but I want to flash this one. If it doesnt work on hyperdrive10 ill stay on 9.1 til op releases it.

If the jordan theme is workin yhen this one should work no problem. But about the lg...is there any roms out yet for it? Or any other themes? My boy had the lg optimus g pro and the dev sucked balls! Maybe its a lg thing or somethin. Ill take a look at the forum and see whats up. Maybe I throw somethin together but ima need you like on call to test the **** since I dont have it. If that's cool?
Also after you flash this please report back and let me know if all went well with no fcs. Your runnin the j theme on the latest hyperdrive update? If so then maybe dude before that posted fcs flashed it on a dirty rom. But if thats not the latest then thats why

Guys please keep all discussion and questions on here and not in the DEV only thread. That should be for developers who are contributing to the ROM. If they can keep us out of their hair maybe things will go a little faster. I am excited for this, and refresh the pages all the time. What do you guys think?

Great idea. I am excited too and also refreshing all the time . I will use it as my daily driver as soon as the sound is fixed, I can live with the rest of the bugs.
This is probably the greatest thing that can happen for the G2.

I agree, I am hoping that after they get the bugs worked out all the top G2 devs will make a rom with their mods and stuff on it. Should be awesome! I hope the battery life is ok though... And the bugs are down to a minimum.

Yeah, I had a HTC One M7 last year and fell in love with Sense 5(I had the One XL before that and Sense was ok but not like Sense 5). The flat OS looked sweet, I changed phones because the battery life was horrible IMO but I always missed it. From that point on I always wanted Sense on every phone I had (see my sig to see just how many that was lol) I hope soon I can have that on the G2

I highly doubt it. HTC One's Sense OS is different which means mods that are for the LG G2 probably are not compatible, you will probably have to use Mods from the M8 forums... I'm not sure if they have recording available. Cloudyfa may make his own rom once this thing is stable and may add his mods accordingly. I think I understood your question.

I want to say it's a different beast and all you have to do is use the latest TWRP but without trying it myself I can't say. It could be needed because we are still using the kernel

Right now it's still in alpha and the audio and camera do not work. It is not ready to be a daily driver. I recommend waiting at least until it is in Beta stages. If you want to try it, make a backup and play with it. But that's all you can do at this point. Get a feel for its epicness...

thanks for response, thats basically what i wanted to do, just flash it and fool around with it. Cant wait for stable release, i was contemplating chucking my g2 to get a m8 just because of sense 6 , from what i read its pretty awesome.

Cool, I'm holding off flashing because I know when I get a taste I will want to stay. Once audio is fixed and it is some what stable I'll probably flash away

What about the ultra saving mod? The camera will be fully ported ( all functions working? )
And i was reading the DEV thread , so the sound is the most difficult part yup? And if we get the sound working , it's possible to get all the Beats Audio mod working?
