dead? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i flashed a rom onto a m8s galaxy s2 after i rooted it the phone was stuck on bootscreen for around 30 min i turned it of and phone will not charge light up or anything ive tryed jig and nothing ive tryed button and nothing battery is fine ive tested it
i thought it would be easy as i have done it on s3 lots of times
is the galaxy s2 dead or can i revive it

Maybe jig is faulty? Have you tried booting into the download mode? It is the same as s3.
If not, try another jig or another battery. Also, try charging it. Does it get hot near the camera when it charges?
If the above fail, you have to JTag, unless you wiped from a 4.0.4 stock rom.

Well its customery (And common sense to be honest) to inform people of relevant information when asking for help.
What exactly did you do/steps you took?
Which rom did you flash?
Which kernel did you flash?
How did you root?
Did you wipe data/factory reset at any point?
Give as much info as possible so that it can possible diagnose what happened.

[Q] HELP! Phone Loops at Samsung Logo

Hello all! I have the i777 SGS2 and my phone was rooted with and ran UnNamed 2.2.1 ROM. On the way home the phone shut down by itself and after trying to turn it on, it gets to the Samsung logo and keeps going off and coming back on to that logo. I have restored it to stock via ODin and used a jig to reset the counter. Should I take it by AT&T for a replacement or is there something I can do? The root and ROM did not cause this, so this must be a phone problem.
Thx
Sounds like you already answered your item question.
You hit every step that would be recommended to do. Sounds like hardware went bad at some point.
Anything leading up to this? Something (games, charging, anything causing high cpu use) causing excessively high temperatures? Dropped? Water damaged? Cheap off-brand chargers?

After restoring from stock using Odin, did you try to wipe data/factory reset from stock recovery?

Similar thing happened to me. When you restored to stock with stock recovery, did it go? Or did you get some weird message and then back to bootloop? And btw was the phone connected to a car charger?

Bootloop after unrooting

Recently i tried to install firmware on my Galaxy tab 10.1, but it resulted in a bootloop, and now i am on the samsung screen. I tried to install the firmware with mobil Odin. The firmware i used is P7510XEULPH_P7510XXLPH_HOME.tar. I dont know what to do to get my tab working again, because when i try to boot into the recovery, i get the flicker screen.
If anybody could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like you soft brick your tab. Looks like your gonna need to whip out the PC and find PC version ODIN even though the screen stuck on flicker it will still connect well at least it did when I soft bricked my SGS 2. Well good luck guy I knw I had a few days of fun when I was trying to fix mine.
Oh ya one more important thing check in your device form in Q & A Chechen sticky always a lot of useful stuff or might even find a quick fix from fellow XDA fanatic like me.

Not sure if you are still stuck, but if you boot into recovery and then clear cache and user data it stopped the boot looping for me...

In theory you can switch off the tab and plug it to charge. It should charge as you do not hard brick it. If you can slash your tab via Odin, try to flash it two times, one by one not letting it to boot android and samsung logo after the first flash. After the second flash, reboot and hold the volume - button till you get into stock recovery mode. then wipe data and wipe cash. then reboot again.

Phone not turning on at all.

Hi
I've got mine Galaxy S2 which I was rooting, changing rom a lot of times, never had any problems.
My friend gave me his phone to do a root on it, I was doing everything like always, and when I tried to install the root and restarted, the phone it's not turning on at all anymore. Tried to take out the battery, change for another one, but nothing.
Do you think that USB JIG can help in this situation when phone is not responding at all or maybe you have another ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try to go in download mode. Home+Volume down+Power button.
If yes. Flash any Stock rom on Odin.
If you can't go to download mode. Maybe USB Jig is the solution.

hi guys
so my galaxy s3 has had a faulty conector since ive had it. but yesterday when i went to flash stock rom as i wanted to clean the device etc it stopped half way through odin process and now it doesnt boot obvieously. the thing is now the phone conector seems to be completely broken as it wont connect for more than maybe 10 seconds at the start but now nothing at all but it does still charge. ive bought an original samsung cable brand new and still same result.
any ideas of a way to get my phone working again? it seems odin wiped my recovery in 10 seconds which sucks....
anything anyone can recommend i try?

Can you still get into download mode and does odin recognize it?
If not you will very likely need a jtag or take it into a service center.
Try replacing the usb port first, flashing anything on a phone with a broken port can corrupt the partition -which is what happened to you.

If the phone boots you could use mobile Odin but in your case, repairing the connector is the right way.
