[Q] What`s the most complete backup? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone ,im a android user for about 2 years , and i used to have motrola`s and htc`s ,and now i own a goregeous s3 international version, already rooted and runing rom (omega).
I use to help my friends with theyr phone (rooting or updating through odin, etc) but recently ,i received alot of *unrooted* and stock firmware s1 and s2 ,who shared the same problem , after the ota updates (the legit kies way) they had problems with baseband and imei.
And i had a lot of work to do to get them working again ,the s1 was fairly simple but the s2 was a pain in the a** .
While im a pretty monthly flasher ,i was thinking to do a backup of the efs folder for myself (curently i only have a backup of the firmware that was on my phone when i got it a cwm backup).
I don`t know if the efs is in the cwm backup)
If not ,i really want to backup it ,just to sleep well at night ) ,any suggestions how to backup the efs on a s3 ?

Install K-Tool by Hellcat from Google Play and make a backup of th EFS folder or use adb. Look here for adb instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689623. After the backup save a copy on the pc.

Need help with unrooting can´t find any guide...

Hello guys, first of all, happy new year
Im searching for a great guide to unroot my Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 P7510, but i can´t find a guide with a clear way to solve this or i find several guides but every guide is different, so i´m very confused what to do now.
I purchased my Galaxy Tab 10.1 P 7510 in the Netherlands, but i live in Germany and now i have to get it in the original State like i have purchased it. Im not sure which stock official rom i have to download, on samfirmware.com there are two Roms, one is dated with june and the other one with july: http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p7510.htm
So which one do i need? What does csc mean ? I also saw this on the xda forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167250 But he says he does not recommend it : "Pre-release TOUCHWIZ rom, not recommended!"
I rooted the tab with this method from galaxytabhacks.com : http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-root-galaxy-tab-10-1-the-easy-way/
But this method seems not to work i think : http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-unroot-your-galaxy-tab-10-1/ Many people say that they are not getting official updates andymore or cant update to touchwizz, but touchwizz was always on my tab.
Im really afraid of bricking my tablet so i need your guys help.
What i understood is that i have to install a stock rom first of all with odin or clock word mod recovery. For me personally CWM is easier, but i have no clue which Rom to install, because the roms on samfirmware.com are .rar !
And then i have to flash to original recovery with odin? How to do that?
Also many people say that they have still the superuser app after unrooting. Whats with that?
i hope you guys can help me. thanks already for reading....
Hey I unrooted as I had to send my tablet in for repairs. I flashed my nandroid backup and then used my root access to delete super user and then unrooted and used stock android recovery to reset user data etc.
Check out this link for how to unroot.
Having a nandroid aka cwm recovery backup makes it much easier.
http://www.galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-unroot-your-galaxy-tab-10-1/
I used this link that you said didn't work successfully. What seems to be the problem for you?
Sent from either my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi or Motorola Atrix 4G
Thanks. But as i said on that link is only the ota rom without touwhizz and also i cant find my backuo i was sure i made one but i cant find it.
Ah this is so sick

[Q] How to prevent any efs trouble while updating my SII

Hi guys,
I've had some troubles with my efs folder last year and I eventually succeed to rescue my device thanks to Helroz app GSII Repair.
I now would like to update my device but I am damn scared to mess with my efs folder, thus I am looking for the best solution back my ass in case of any trouble while updating
I found the programm developed by lyriquidperfection it looks awesome and should allow me to save my efs folder as well as creating a backup (img and tar format)
In case of any trouble is it enough to get back to the working version of my efs folder ?
What about a nandroid backup ? I am note sure if this would be complimentary to EFS pro or if it is doing the same and is then useless while using EFS pro ?
Thanks a lot for ur help. This efs folder is scary, in fact at the time I had not rooted my device and nothing alike, however installing some launcher crap app was enough to nearly make my phone useless !
PS : Here are my device's details :
version : 2.3.5
num version : GINGERBREAD.XWKJ2
modèle : GT-I9100
Kernel : 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKJ2-CL676699 [email protected]#2
Version bande de base : l9100XXKI4
MAJ: PDA:KJ2/PHONE:K14/CSC:KJ1(XEF)

I've flashed several roms and had never problems with that/with my IMEI
Just unlock the bootloader (if you want custom roms that are not stock based) and flash the kernel you want. Then flash the rom and it should be fine :good:

all you can do now (since you didnt make a nandroid backup of your rom) is to find your firmware/supported custom rom for your device and flash it.
thank for reply

Since you have deleted a system app you cannot boot up your Rom and hence you cannot get access to titanium backup. I would suggest you dont try to flash the roms from other devices as it may cause bootloader issues.
I would suggest you to take your phone to service center and get it repaired.
Btw how did you root your phone ?
