Will this phone work on tmobile? - HTC One X+

I'm thinking about getting the one x+ unlocked and goin to tmobile.. here are the specs
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_x+-4976.php
i know my local market has 1900mhz so will i get 4g?
if so is this phone really a lot better than the htc one x?
how the screen, battery, and HERE IS MY BIGGEST CONCERN
how much available RAM is left on average?
this is my main concern with choosing an htc one x or one x+ or a sgs3, tw is lighter on ram than sense is and they still give 2gb of ram so i'm worried that 1gb of ram with sense 4+ wont suffice..

AW: Will this phone work on tmobile?
free RAM is death RAM and not neccessary at Android
LTE works only at ATT. ask your Provider

Don't worry about 1gb ram in one x+, you should be just fine when multitasking ...
Also that 1900 radio should work, IF you get coverage...

tmobile doesn't have lte.. i actually don't care for lte at all.. its a battery drain and i don't need 20mbps, 12 - 15mbps works great
tmobiles 4g hspa+ runs on 1900 frequency

[Q] 4G Speeds

Anyone with the Amaze 4G on T-Mobile USA notice much better download speeds compared to the Sensation and even Galaxy S II Titanium? Staying in the exact same spot and even within a few seconds of putting the same SIM card into other phones such as the Sensation and Galaxy S II the Amaze consistently outperforms them in download speeds.
What makes the Amaze so special that it can do this when the other processors on the above listed phones are quite comparable are they not? Even in terms of RAM and all running gingerbread?
It's a better phone

Amaze is always better than sensation and gs2 for me!
29Mbs on amaze, question answered!
It would appear so but what exactly makes it perform better as far as speeds go when the processor is not any faster than the galaxy S2? Is it better hardware or software?

Let's clear it up that download speeds... Aren't related to processor speed. Thanks

The answer you are looking for is HSPA+. The difference between the phones you listed is that the amaze uses the very latest broadband standards. The Sensation uses regular HSPA (not plus)
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA
You cant compare the sensation with data speeds cause it runs on t Mobiles 14.4 mps network, the amaze runs on the 42.2 mps network

wow, some of you guys are getting outstanding speeds...highest ive gotten here in cincinnati is a little over 10 down and about 3 up

you already know i have a love affair with my mytouch, but sometimes i wonder if my infatuation for MIUI plays a big role in that. imo, MIUI is hands down the best OS out there. cant wait to see what cm9 throws at us tho
In Connecticut I get about 10-14 mbps consistently. Peaks of 20-23
Faster than my WiFi from my room lol

Amaze will perform better than Sensation because Amaze utilizes dual cell HSPA+, or in plain terms you can say faster 4g coz Sensation is also 4g . Anyway you can read about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-Cell_HSDPA
Not sure why is it faster than gs2 coz both of them use the same technique and have same chipset, so same modem...could be because Amaze radio firmware be better optimized or just better suited in your area than gs2's but ideally it should be same or something close by..

Sprint LTE coverage in Chicago with Evo 4G LTE

So if I get the new and shiny Evo 4G LTE in Chicago, does that mean that it will run on a pathetic 3G network by Sprint?
When is LTE coming to Chicago? Is there going to be a premium data fee for less than premium data speed?
Do you think AT&T's One X is a much better option? High speed 3G+ and a growing LTE network on AT&T seems very tempting.
Am I missing something with Sprint's Evo 4G LTE?
You're in one of the phase 1 cities so Sprint LTE will be a short wait for you.
Plus you get the SD card slot, Shutter button, Kickstand, HD Voice & unlimited data. You won't get that on the AT&T One X.
The One X on AT&T looks better, has global support & the 3G is faster.
It depends on what you prefer.

Can the international SGS3 be used on t mobile?

Reason is, t mobile won't be getting the quad core version. I have two new HTC one s's and I'm thinking of trading them both for an international gs3. Or, I'm going to sell them both. I have an offer from a salesman to buy the international gs3 for $700 even. What do you guys think I should do?

I believe it's like the One X. Yes, it will work but you'll be limited to 3G speeds (also limited to 1GB ram instead of 2GB in the US version).
The RAM thing i think makes it worth it to just go with the US version. The S4 handles vet nicely, and the majority of apps don't bother to take advantage of quad core anyway, so to me the US for once gets the better end of the stick with regard to the GS3.

That is incorrect. For a phone to be able to utilize T-Mobile 3G/4G, it must support the both 1700 and 2100 frequencies. While the international S3 does support the 2100 band, it doesn't support the 1700 band. That is the entire reason Samsung is making a specific T-Mobile S3.
The international S3 will work with T-Mobile, but only at 2G speeds.

It will be 2G only, for now. Once T-Mobile has 1900 3G up and running it will be 3G again, which should be done for all major markets by the end of the year.
On another not. I've seen the TMOUS SGSIII in action and trust me, you don't need the quad core. 2GB of RAM with dual core is WAY better than 1GB of RAM with quad core.
EDIT: One more thing, the EU version is limited to 21Mbps while the TMOUS will be 42Mbps, twice the data rate.
Yes I agree if I had my choice I would get tha quad 4 with 2 gigs ram but since it dosnt come that way more ram is more noticeable and quad core is nice but really what are you doing with it your running linux.

[Q] Will there be a hack to the i9300 to receive 3g/4g Tmobile USA?

i have a cellphone repair store and am addicted to new cellphones and trying them out. i currently have the i9300 and love it, but am wondering if there would be anyway to hack it to receive 3g/4g T-Mobile USA. I have switched over back to T-Mobile because they have the best speed for money and coverage ratio where i live. I also have the galaxy note sgh i717 and have it rooted and running ics with the blaze radio hack and it works beautifully on T-Mobile. So what im asking is, will there be a way to flash a radio the same way it was done on the note for the i9300? i really like the way my phone is and prefer the quad core over the dual core that will be coming out here in the us. I don't want to have to sell my international i9300 to get the USA T-Mobile version just so i can have working 3g/4g. Im Hoping for a answer yes you can flash a radio and someone can try to do it. I wish i had more time to play around with these things and be more knowledgable about what im saying, but with my job and two kids i try to learn as much as possible.
Nope. The hardware for the international version doesn't support LTE. Unless you're a superDev and manage mod the system on a chip support it, you'll have to use the US version to get 4G.
It's only the the main reason that the US version isn't getting the quad core. Not that the S4 + 2Gb of memory isn't just as good if not better than the exynos.

What about the hspa+ or even 3g on T-Mobile. I can't see the note that has the same bands as the i9300 being able to do that why not the i9300?? I guess maybe I'm missing something?? Cause the only thing missing is the 1700 band. From both phones and they added it to the att note somehow

No.
The AT&T Note has an SoC that has the 1700mhz band. It is the same SoC that is in the T-Mobile SGSII.
The international Note has the same SoC as the i9100 and i9300 and it does NOT have the 1700mhz band, and it never will.
The only way is when tmo start reusing the 1900 frequency for 3g later this year.
Apparently they are trying it out in some places already.

here is an interesting link showing these 1900 locations coming up http://www.airportal.de/
I don't think there is any hack or mods, just have to wait for T-Mobile to expand their 1900mhz coverage.
Luckily, I'm in the area where T-Mobile offers 1900mhz coverage and I can connect to hspa+ on my i9300. It's so much faster than what I'm used to when I was on AT&T. I was only getting 0.5-1.5mbps on AT&T but now 5-6mbps on T-Mobile. When I'm in area that lacks coverage, I do get only EDGE though which is pretty darn slow

Unlimited 4G plan with no cap or throttle.
I'm probably going to switch i9300 to new tmobile branded note 2 or S3 though. There is no coverage of 1900mhz when I'm around home area. Using EDGE is so painful...

Yeah.. I'm using the 200 Mb data plan with my i9300. Since we only getting edge for now , it is a waste of paying 25 dollars a month for 4g if we can't use the speed.. I'm in New York Brooklyn , and still can't get any 3g signals...

Brooklyn new york here . in nyc ATT is the fastest for mobile data no question about it. I get an average of 6 mbit/s . some times up to 11 mbit/s I tried t mobile and the best i got was edge. under 100 kbit/s could barely make calls. I dont know about other cities or regions but in nyc ATT is king even though they suck .
You'll never get more than 2G. Unless you're in one of the new areas where they have out their new towers. You'll get 2G most of the time... There isn't a "hack" and there never will be... Its a hardware limitation.

T mobile AWS Spectrum

So the AT&T LTE version of the One X+ has AWS 1700 MHz for LTE. Is it possible to flash a different radio and access the Tmobile 1700 HSPA+ network? The new Tmobile plans are certainly tempting.
Great question. I am thinking the same thing. ATT cost too much.
S-off is needed to flash radios if I remember correctly
