[Q] Touchwiz tablet UI for Alwinner A13? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

IDK, but does anyone know of a port of Samsung's TouchWiz UX for 800x480 tablets, i.e. the A13?

[Q] Android 3.1 Launcher?

Does anybody have the android 3.1 launcher working on their phones? Android 3.1 is supposed to work for phones too so maybe the launcher should work on our phones?
Also How does 3.1 launcher even look like on a phone? I haven't seen any screenshots of 3.1 running on anything except tablets... Does anyone have the APK for the 3.1 Launcher?

OK... I wondered why Google did not update their Nexus & Nexus S to 3.1.. That explains that...

Stock widgets on other ROMs

Had a look around the forum and the internet but found nothing on this matter.
How would I go about getting the stock widgets for Touchwiz on another launcher, specifically trebuchet? I'm using the Paranoidandroid ROM, which lacks some of the great widgets (Flashlight, Mono Audio etc.) that touchwiz has.
Those are touchwiz elements and you cannot expect it on aosp roms, heard a few mods about porting the whole touchwiz launcher to aosp roms

Is there no way at all to get widgets that do those functions on another ROM? If not, that kinda blows. I want to use something that looks nicer than touchwiz but it has SO many good features...

We have to port all apps to make it looks like, but it's very difficult to port whole Touchwiz ROM because of in fact Touchwix frameworks, ecc.
When we will get CM9 stable we will have problablly some Touchwiz ROMs.

Touchwiz framework required a lot of framework modification what one can possibly do is take framework from s3 mini and modify it to suit our desire x

Magazine UX on Note 10.1 2014 edition

Hi Guys,
Not sure when samsung will wake up and update note 10.1 2014 edition to kitkat with magazine UX, meanwhile can anyone suggest widgets or launcher which can mimic that...
Chameleon Launcher was one option but its not getting updated and does not work well

I'm interested as well. Any takers?
Why are people so hard up for this Magazine UX? It's just another gimmicky skin. Pass!

But it's the LATEST gimmicky skin.... Gotta be at the forefront of these things... :silly:
I have, in front of me, a Note Pro 12.2. After 5 days I find I never use it. In fact, I've replaced the launcher with Apex.
Well it is kit Kat after all. I just don't know why people want the launchers to look the same.

Porting remix launcher / UI in Android x86

It would be possible to bring the launcher or the UI on Android 6.0 x86
anyone has any idea where to start?

The UI, I am not sure how possible it is, without compiling a new ROM (and whether it is open-source or not).
The launcher, if it is open-source (as well as the libraries that it utilizes), you can try building from source, while packaging those libraries with it.
I'm sorry I can't help any more than this, I only know these these theoretically.
And the image is here since I am out of thanks.
I also think that the Remix OS launcher should be ported over as a standalone app for AOSP.
the ideal would probably to be create a launcher app with the ux / ui remix

I don't really think that it's possible.
The closest thing, in my opininion, would be a simulation of the UI.
However what I had meant by launcher, is the taskbar+start menu.
The desktop is a seperate app in Remix OS, and I find it hard to think how it would work properly in AOSP's UI.
However, I do agree with you about how it should ideally be.
It's not possible, it's closed source.
You could reverse engineer it, but it'd rather be a waste of time.
Actually the taskbar and start menu is just modified version of the navbar. If you know android app development then you should be able to inter grate navbar code from remix os to Android-x86.
