Need you help about a Brightness mod - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello Everyone ,i new here and i need your help.
i have the UltimaRom V9 with kernel : siyah and
i9300XXELLA
i heard that there is a mod that makes your phone more Brightness i wanted to know which version to download ?
the original post about it is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791163

It doesn't increase the max brightness, it adjusts the auto-brightness.
And it states right there with huge red letters that it's only for ICS ROMs

[Q] LED issue? (while charging)

Hello everyone,
I'm new here (actually everything related to android is new for me )
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3, and i'd thought i'd try a few custom roms. Everything went smoothly thanks to the guides here, but i'm having one issue.
When i plugin my phone to charge the battery, the notification LED turn green (with a bit of red, so basically it's green and red at the same time) even when the screen is ON. (This doesn't happen with the stock rom, the LED light turn red only when the screen is OFF).
Is this normal? If no, then how can i fix it?
I've did a research on google, and here, but i didn't come across any thread talking about this issue.
A few information that could help :
Model Number : GT-I9300
Current ROM : SuperNexus-I9300-BUILD4 (I also tried AOKP JB build 4 and Slimbean 2.6.0 and i have the same problem)
Android version : 4.1.1
Baseband version : I9300xxDLIB
Kernel version : 3.0.31-CM-g3d1181d
Build Number : JRO03R
Thanks for the help
(also, my English is not perfect, sorry about that)
if I were you, I'd get more posts here, once you have 10 posts, ask that question in the ROM's thread instead of here (SuperNexus if I understand it well). You'll have more changes to get a proper answer.
Have you tried to install a LED manager like LightFlow or Light Manager?
Did you do a full wipe when you installed your ROM?
Did you try with another Kernel? I don't know this ROM but maybe there's an option of choosing different kernels for this ROM?

[Q] SiyahKernel S3-v1.5.3 what is this exactly ?

Hi guys I know that Siyah kernals allow overclocking of cpu and gpu on the SGS3 but what else does it do.
1)Does it improve battery life, sound of speakers and performance ? How?
2)Also can i install it on an original rom of ICS ?
3)Will i be able to update to Jelly bean through kies after installing this ?
4)After updating to jelly bean will i loose this kernal?
The sites i visited do not provide these information only that this kernal has these features and dual booting etc....
Thanks to everyone who replies or at least takes a look at it..
beware, i was using this kernel as a default
nearly the first thing ive flashed after installing a new rom
took me quite a while to learn that it prevented me from recording FullHD video, it was crashing the camera app everytime
i dropped it and switched to a stock kernel which works best for me right now.
There is a full thread dedicated to this kernel in original android development section!
With ics you can only install below 1.6 version if I'm correct (mentioned in the thread anyway). So no dual boot.
With STweaks app you can change every parameter and so save battery, overclock cpu and gpu, undervolt, enable some audio improvements and so on.
The best is to update to jb, and then install the latest version with dual boot.
If you lose the kernel after a Rom update you just flash again the kernel, 30 seconds work.
Hi,
All is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709686 (dev thread) and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709860 (general thread)...
You need good reading, testing, etc... For battery it depends of your use and settings (in the 6th post of the dev thread there are some settings for battery life or for performance for example).
Firt of all read the first 6 posts in the dev thread...

need help about kangbang kernel

hi guys. i am running slimbean 4.2.2 latest version. i just upgraded the kernel from stock to kangbang 2.0. everything runs perfectly except changing vibration intensity. with this kernel, i noticed that stweaks installed and checked there is no setting for vibration intensity. also when i want to change it in settings/advanced/haptic, the vibration strength option is blurred. is there any way to change it.
p.s. sorry for bad english
It says in the kangbang thread that it's not recommended to run v2 on anything below android 4.3. That's possibly where you're issues are coming from.
As far as your specific question goes, I'm not sure sorry. Just needed to mention that v2 is intended for 4.3.
