quick question about the s3 toolkit - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys just got a quick question and need a bit of help with the s3 toolkit in the first step when you load up the toolkit it asks you to choose the build version you have. Mine can fit under 11,12,13 and 14 my problem is that the last letters on the end for example the first one on the end says ALI5 i cant find any of those in my about section mine says buildnumber JRO03C.I9305TDVALI6 but my baseband version is I9305TDVALI5. So would that mean i chose number 11?

bumping back up need a quick answer please

[Q] Wrong received sms time

I'm using Samsung's messaging client and I've noticed that when I receive an SMS, the time displayed is not the actual sent time but the time it was received by me.
Is there any way to fix this ??
1. Read the forum rules
2. This is general, not Q&A. This is a question.
3. Search before you ever ask any questions. See here...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmvCpR45LKA
4. Finally, here's a thread discussing your question...

You are right about the Q&A . You are wrong about posting this thread. I ask something different ....

I tried both on a previous old firmware but not newer firmwares. If you try it let me know the results.
I think we all have the same problem with the time stamps, when the phone has been turned off or without connection. Whenever you receive text messages it writes when you receive them and not when they were sent. It really blows. It it not the same problem as the one you describe though, but the same as AaronUK has
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Q] Question

Why so many questions in the General forum when we have a Q & A forum for that?
And yes, this question is ofc in the gemeral forum like most other [Q] threads. Would be to borring to put the question in the righe forum while asking for a question relating another forum.

Well, what do you think is thread is?
Silly? - A question about questions are silly.
Hmm - Well, we got a Q & A forum, so why not use it. And we even got a sticky here saying to use the Q & A forum.
Who cares - No need for a Q & A forum when we have the genetal forum that suits questions just as fine.

If you think you can do a better job as a moderator, then by all means apply for moderator who will bring law and order to xperia s forum. But I think this thread will be closed soon.

no, obviously not.
just saying could be easier, maybe section for sony etc and new sub forums added for each new device as and when, thats all
I also think it's too confusing with all 2012 Sony's, S, U, P and Sola.
A subdivision would be better.
I have to agree with the idea of different forms for each device. I have not seen where else in xda where 5 devices are lumped into one section, even Asus transformers have their own, and they are all much more similar than Xperia phones XD

There is no excuse for not reading the rules which you broke two of. 1. not searching and 2. posting a non development thread in the development forum.
I urge you to read the RULES before posting further. If you can't then do not post at all.

What is that supposed to mean?
There is already a thread for this issue, so there is no point cluttering up the forum with duplicate threads.

Androm3d-vzla-v3.0
This is the name of the ROM I installed: ANDROM3D-VZLA-V3.0 Found it under: Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III Android Development
But now it seems to be gone that post
As said, there already exists thread for this issue. Please have a look in the General subforum for it, or use the seacrh function.

[Newbie Guide] What to do and NOT to do on this forum

AndroidNoob69's XDA guide - What TO DO and NOT TO DO here
Hi guys, especially people who have just joined the forum
READ the forum rules or is it TOO LONG??
Having PROBLEMS understanding??
Still UNSURE??
Fear not I am here to teach you what TO DO and NOT TO DO on XDA
TO DO
1. Post in the right forum.
Many people who have questions, may end up posting in 'General' rather than 'Q&A'
This is what the forums are for
General: e.g. Android Upgrading news, rooting updates, and other discussions.
Q&A: Bricked your device? Need advice? Come here and ask!
Development: Rooting Kits, Recoveries, ROMs
Apps & Themes: Mods, Apps, Shares, Ports and Themes
2. Be polite. Provide adequate info when asking a question. Do NOT swear.
3. Search the forum when posting. Do not create duplicate threads when your question is not answered.
Searching before posting is important. It helps XDA to fight spam. When your question is NOT answered, DO NOT create another thread. You can 'bump' your thread once every 24 hours.
4. Spamming port request in a thread that is meant for jb and OP says (JB) Just ONE person kindly ask the OP if he can port for example, ICS. If he says 'no' then, you got to wait for a developer to port it for you.
What NOT TO DO
1. Post Cracks, Free In-App purchasers etc.
If you REALLY want to share cracks, DO NOT SHARE IT ON XDA. It is cheating the community. If I have cracks, I would decide not to announce it to the whole XDA "Hey! I got *fill in with app name* for free! Link: donotclick.com/freeapps/appid-8459"
2. Be racist, insult others etc.
XDA is NOT for racism. I am sure everyone wants to have a good time here relaxing, helping others. You would not like it if you are insulted too, right?
3. TRY NOT to quote the whole OP as it might be spam to others.
Yes, you want the OP to know you replied, but try MENTIONING (like @Pandemic does). If you are using tapatalk and cant remember the user's username. Forget it. Just post a normal reply.
4. Mirror a file when OP says do not mirror my files.
This is a problem when the OP does not have a mirror and the app/mod download link is dead. Kindly tell the OP that its dead. He will solve it. In other words, DI NOT MIRROR without permission.
ADDED BY @Ben36
5. Don't make annoying 'noob' threads
ADDED BY @Pandemic
6: dont post threads with 1 simple question if the answer is already there
7: read before post and if you cant find it, use google
8: dont act as a noob if you can read and dont ask 1000 times the same questions
THIS IS ALL THE BASIC INFORMATION YOU NEED, HAVE FUN
Regards,
AndroidNoob69
