Installation

can you post the correct way to install it, I tried it 2 times and still bootloop on my neo. What to choose in the wifi module option? My neo is still locked bootloader
This is what I did:
The first time I went to recovery and do factory reset, wipe everything including format system then I flashed v2.0, for module I didn't know what to choose and It was set at rush kernel so I skip it and choose the extra. After it finish installing, I got back to recovery and wipe davik cache one more time then restart and got bootloop at sony logo
The second time I flash 587 firmware again then root and installed recovery, get back to installed the mod this time I tried with stock kernel in the module and did the later step like the first time and still got stuck at sony logo

The WiFi module is for Xperia arc so it's not compatible... Flash the WiFi module of your own kernel after installed the ROM

You can't skip that option.. but you can flash the correct module for your phone right after finished installing the ROM.. use the search function to find the correct WiFi modules for your phone
Third try, I installed it once again then flash the stock wifi modules from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708532 right after that but still stuck on sony logo, I just don't know what I did wrong yet, sorry...

Fourth try, installed the rom then applied neo patch from Thillinac's pureness rom --> still stuck at sony logo, I guess I have to wait till someone show me a correct steps to make it work on neo then... If someone successfully make it work on locked bootloader neo, please post the instruction.

You made a NAND restore for your data isn't it?
How-To install viper xperia
1- Wipe Data/Factory Reset

If you have issues with Play Store, just go to apps and uninstall it's updates (settings > Apps > Download list > Play Store)

Provide a working kernel with it or suggestion. Doesn't work with Lupus one.

Those who are having bootloops should raise their system memory of neo to 420mb. There are many methods, search it.
Just installed the rom on my neo. It's very beautiful and advanced. I think vengeance kernel is best for this rom. Everything seems to work with this kernel. Will most more about battery and performance later. Thanks to jerrytan93 for his awesome work.

Main rom - codename ei8ht:
unlock bootloader
download the rom & put it on your sd card
always do a full CWM backup of your current rom

reboot into recovery
wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache & wipe battery stats
mount & storage > mount data & system (it will change from "mount /data" to "unmount /data")
format cache, data & system
install custom zip > choose the main rom
reboot into phone, skip setup (next, next & next)
reboot the phone again
for neo user only: flash the patch in -=codename_ei8ht_final=- folder
hit the 'thanks' button
Stock Apps: - only if you don't want Xperia S upgrade
reboot into recovery, install custom zip > choose the upgrade

This is just a little tweak to add into build.prop, which should be added to the neo patch.
You can edit it by yourself, with Root Explorer find build.prop filechange MT11i to MT15i.
Great rom no problems in use, working fine with no lags. Keep the good work.

Had a weird thing when I started market it tried to download every app I ever downloaded (from my old phones too) filled my phone with heaps of crap app's.. Had to go through and uninstall them all.
Apart from that it seems really good.
Oh Sony wallpapers don't seem to work either.. Just show up as tiny image over old wallpaper.
I'll keep playing and see how it goes for battery life etc. But nice work thanks for sharing!

This is the highest free on any custom ROM for the Neo V.
2. How is this made possible?
a) This ROM has been ODEXed. Hence all dalvik files for system apk's are in the /system partition itself!
b) Dalvik-cache has been moved to the /cache partition.
3. Why ODEX the ROM?
a) ODEX ROM's load up faster the first time
b) ODEX'ed system apks do not create .dex files in dalvik-cache, hence size of dalvik-cache decreases. This is required so that there is enough room on the /cache partition for the dalvik-cache also.
4. What are the features of this ROM?
Based on stock .62 firmware for Neo V
Rooted and busybox (latest su binary and Superuser.apk)
12 Notification toggles with QuickPanel app for editing them.
Zipaligned (and script)
All included apps updated to latest version.
Many bloatware apps removed (see the attached list, i can post them on request)
ES File explorer, No Frills CPU control added
Google maps navigation unlocked for the whole world - credits brutall,ownhere.
Battery life is very good (thanks to the Night-elf kernel)
Many init.d scripts for smoothness and battery life.

6. How to install this ROM.
Copy Downloaded files to SD card.
Flash Night-elf's kernel for stock (latest version 9) [ Instructions ]
Enter recovery by pressing the back key when you see the blue light.
If you were not on stock/stock-based ROM, wipe Data is safer [ AFTER NANDROID BACKUP ]
Install zip followed by any addon required.
Reboot to you new Spacious, Smooth and Lightwieght ROM
7. Any disadvantages of ODEX'ed ROM?
The only disadvantage is that you cannot install custom themes on the ROM.
But, mind you, UOT kitchen can be used to change a lot of the UI.
8. But why not use Link2SD or Dalvik2SD?
It has its own problems, most important being io speeds from the card and problems when card is removed.

Because there is no re-branding.. The about screen is exactly like stock ROM - no strange names there

I have not tested, but you may try the following procedure and report!
Steps:
1. TAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
2. Wipe cache and dalvik-cache (optionally wipe data)
3. Install ROM
4. Install Neo_062_modules_stock.zip
5. Reboot and report!

No i thought i'll try without wiping the data first (as u said it was optional), but bootloop
But then i cudnt get into recovery
So flashed back to stock, rooted it, installed cwm then restore my backup.

Sechko I believe there is a problem with the package. The CWM does not identify the .zip

I think it's aroma installer problem
first time I checked most of the boxes and ended up having this problem, and now I just reinstalled the ROM and I checked only Wifi module and no frequent restarting anymore

hi everyone did anyone mange to install this rom i tried for over 5 hours and every single time it did not get passed the sony erricson text i wiped dalvic cache it also allways removes my cmw so i have to flash the .58 rom then root and reinstall cmw i cant use the xparts one it never has worked with my phone any help will be very good thanks colin.

u need to wipe data/factory reset, then go to mounts and storage and format sd-ext, system, data and cache. Next u need to install the zip from sdcard, choose the eye candy theme and install the rom . Dont check any of the boxes u see if u have a locked bootloader. If ur bootloader is unlocked check the wifi module option. Once it is finished installing it should work. Thats how i got it to work on my play with locked bootloader

How to install
Please follow carefully. This Rom supports multibooting. It uses TWRP Recovery. The whole code is taken from CosmicDans Repo and compiled/Tweaked to boot for Neo L. The device name is Xperia Play but it will work good with our device.

Known Bugs
TWRP can only restore COMPRESSED backups right now. Make sure you select "Use Compression" checkbox when making a TWRP backup! Will be fixed when my Linux machine is repaired.
TWRP "Factory Reset" option will erase sd-ext - be careful! Only way to *only* wipe data right now is to do it manually via shell. Final version will have "Factory Reset" button changed to "Wipe Data".

you need to install non multiboot supported Roms in first slot.. other multiboot Roms on other slots..(not tested)
I am using this with Turbo UI in first slot and its workign perfect.. .. need to do a full wipe before installing the rom on first slot..

first time :: did same... flashed cosmic dan's kernel.. then installed turbo ui then flashed ur kernel.. didnt work.
2nd try :: flashed ur kernel, installed turbo ui .. again no luck
3rd try : again no luck
now gonna try again downloading all the files

Okey buddy flash my kernel Get into recovery in the 4th option select Recovery as CWM(system will reboot) and enter into TWRP-- Select Wipe tab do a full wipe install Turbo UI it will work..:good:

Guys don't try multiboot now.. it won't boot :d I tested yesterday..
Install rom only in the first slot...
Getting FC I got it never... follow the steps... else you will get FC
Get the Turbo Kernel flash it.. Install Turbo UI or asop JB by cosmicDan(and thank him for the work) Do the normal full wipe(wipe data system-partition etc)
Then flash My kernel given in the link.. flash boot.img only

Go to cwm recovery as it is written, not in twrp recovery, as lupus has both recovery

Is that u mean instalation aborted status 07 or what? Try download the ROM again, corrupt maybe~
The reason for the instalation failure
Hi everyone.... i have a problem with the microsd of my Xperia pro..... the cel reboot and dont initiate in good state.... when i put the microSD (SanDisk ULTRA 32 Gb Class 10) and try formating nothing change...
i tried with the terminal of UBUNTU with the command fdisk, on Windows I tryed with MiniTool Partition Wizard but is the same
The data and the partitions still here, the data is functional but new data don't still here.... is like the MicroSD is FREEZE when is desconected the MicroSD is back to the state with the same partitions and same data nothing new.... i move the files an create new folders but nothing changes
If any one knows some method for restore the posibility of modification of the partitions or Full format the microsd for the factory state... I'll thank you

I like full format the MicroSD and loss all data for remake the partitions

Yes... I've tryed with cwm and format in android.... But nothing change the data still here it's like a hard drive freezedwith Deep Freeze in Windows

Use Mini Partition Tools and untick the Enhanced Data Protecting Mode and then format like usually. Hope it help~

your sd got write protected, try wiping partition with minitool if that doesn't help then go to disk management from my computer & format from there. It helped me

i was tried all this options and nothing happend.... wipe the entire microsd and nothing..... i really need a method of brute force for do the full format
If you choose Odex option in Aroma, then after applying a Theme Accent, after reboot, go to system/framework with file explorer & delete SemcGenericUxpRes.odex. Need to do just once
So I just installed this rom on my friend's xperia pro and I have to say this is one good looking rom but for some reason it is lagging a bit and also from time to time I get an error message saying that unfortunately some core has stopped working......is it because I have odexed the rom? Cause I have experienced some problems with odexing on other roms for different devices. Please help!

With the latest?? Adreno Drivers I could find.
