[Q] Samsung GS2 ICS cam not working after rooting - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can still take pictures from my galaxy s2 camera, it's working fine but there's one major problem. When i open camera, the display area turns black. All the shortcuts are right there where it should be (cam/vdo, flash, gallery, etc.) When i take the picture, the image is perfect but i don't know what i'm capturing because there's no display screen, only black out. Please help me out.
This happened after i rooted my galaxy s2 I9100 ICS 4.0.4 and i don't want to unroot it as it will erase all my data, including progress in games and stuffs. Also, LMT launcher requires rooting so i can't unroot it.

How did you root it, ExynosAbuse?
If so, there's you answer.

[Q] white screen help on galaxy mini

Hi Guys!
i just recently bought a samsung galaxy mini.Everything was going ok but later on when i updated my android version to gingerbread 2.3.6 through kies after a day or two i went to my gallery to view some pics there i saw a white screen at the top but everything else was ok except the top part, the image were a lil blurry but when i touched them they were clear but now i had a white screen at the top and the bottom when i touched to view the pic...then the next day i updated my mini to cyanogen 7.0 rc4 and the gallery turned out just fine...but after a day or two the same problem occured, then i was exploring a little and went to the theme chooser and selected the androidian theme and then the gallery was fixed but the same prob occured again i went to the theme chooser again and did the same thing but the white screen in the gallery still exists in the top.I would be really grateful if u guys could help me out with this problem..btw everything else is smooth and works as it should except the gallery.
Thnx for looking into this matter guys! waiting for ur suggestions
Have u wiped gallery cache?
Sent from my MIUI.us Sensation 4G using XDA App
I'm sorry I'm new to android how exactly do I clear the gallery cache? And what does that have to do with the white screen?
yea i tried clearing the gallery cache but its 0kb so couldn't do it...any other suggestions?

Screen calibration issue? All selections appear off by 1/16"

Does anyone else have an issue with the calibration fo the Galaxy Player 5.0 screen?
When typing with the keyboard, it appears to register keypresses ever so slightly to the right of where they should be; perhaps by 1/16" or so...
hmmm.
No, I don't have that issue at all, but a suggestion would be that you could go tou your settings and do a horizontal calibration. Also another would be to just root it and install a custom rom, many of the custom roms for the samsung galaxy player 5.0 and 4.0 are stabler and more user friendly than the stock rom. I you want a llink I could give you one.

A few qns on ICS

Just a few qns on ICS.
1) On ICS, I notice when on WCDMA mode, the H icon does not go down to 3G icon when there is no data flow, unlike GB where it is mostly at 3G and only when there is data processing then it moves up to H. Is this normal or is it just my phone?
2) Getting my phone back from servicing and really dislike the ICS experience. Stupid scrolling, changing font doesn't change the font in all applications (like in tweetdeck and whatsapp) etc makes me want to roll back to GB the moment i get my phone back. However one thing I will miss is the ICS lockscreen (the circle one similar to the Note). Back when I was using XWLA4 on Checkrom it had a similar circle lockscreen. Is it the stock lockscreen or is that a mod from Checkrom? The slide lockscreen is pretty terrible IMO.
Gonna keep my phone stock as I'm too busy and lazy to meddle with all the rooting stuff anymore. So I just want a good slick fully stock GB rom and I'm not gonna touch any more flashing till I change my phone. Coming from Singapore using an international i9100, it makes no difference if I use some other firmware version (XWLA4 eg) as opposed to the Singapore-tailored DXKI1 etc ROMs right?
Thanks!

[Q] Paranoid Android 2.10 'Remove All Notifications' Icon Problem Fixing?

Hello guys,
I have been encountering this problem since I can't remember when. I started using PA Jelly Bean ROM for my Galaxy SII I9100 from the 1.992 Version. I'm on 2.10 now.
I have been encountering this problem ever since and I run the phone in default mode, meaning no tablet or phablet mode and no other settings tweaked either.
The problem is that when I expand the notification bar, the Remove All Notifcations icon on the top right is barely visible. You can check the image below:
Anyone else who has encountered the same problem and was able to fix it?
Apart from this, one also cannot use WI-FI DIRECT and the smileys in video mode crashes the camera app.
Thank you in advance. It is really an amazing ROM.

[Q] S3 Mura Effect

Hi Guys ! I have recently purchased an international Version of the S3 (i9300) running Android 4.1.2 Jellybean (Touchwiz) not rooted, and I have noticed a series of white ghostly faints when using a black wallpaper on the lock screen , After some research I came to know that this is known as (Mura Effect) and that it happens to all All AMOLED/OLED displays, However, the Strange thing is that although I am using the same exact crop of the same wallpaper, it doesn't appear when I am on the home screen(on a blank page) . So, is this a software or hardware problem? and should I contact Samsung for a screen replacement ? Thanks for help in advance !
