..or dont use connectify and similar programs if you use it! just connect direct from router!

I had this this issue with both ICS and JB, no luck with them and my router (Intelbras, a Brazilian brand), it only works like a charm with GB-based firmwares. If you have the possibility, test with other routers and post the result. With some other routers, the problems just don't happen for me.
My device is a sk17i mini pro.

No don't. Its the problem with custom ics. Just head over to the wifi section in mobile. Modify the wifi network and set the ip address as static. Do that and it will work fine
Short version:use static ip adress
Press the "thanks", button if I helped you.

sorry then,
mine had the same problem. it would say connecting, authenticating and then disconnect and loop
did some googling and found that we had to make it static. worked for me.

I am assuming you have installed CM7 6.6.1
Try installing the more stable CM7 6.5.7 and then flash the latest franco .32 kernel. Nobody has wifi problems with it and neither should you.
actually i am running CM7 6.5.7 and 43 v19 kernal

Is the problem with your Wifi network? Did you try connecting to the same Wifi network through another device like your laptop? If there is no problem with the Wifi connection, then in 'Wifi settings' set some different 'Channel number' and also set the 'Wifi sleep policy' to 'Never'.

Usually helps when you are connecting to your WiFi and not one of your neighbours'

Can you mention here the ROM and kernel you're using? Please provide the exact version number for both. Because, if you're using Mik's 6.6.1 and Franco's latest .35 kernel, you should not be facing this issue.

Yes. I used 6.5.7 the previous week and found it very stable. Now I've flashed v6.6.1 and find it more stable and smooth than 6.5.7. With franco's .35 kernel the phone now works like a beast.

Hope your workpplace don't have IP limit, have you tried other wifi like home if it connects?

Just to make sure that the problem is not at the level of the WiFi router I would re-install the ROM that you had before (or restore nandroid backup if you have one) and confirm that you can actually connect.
My first guess is that since this is a Workplace WiFi network, the admin might have blocked the MAC address of your phone.
Actually i did install my old stock rom and it worked normally, but when i install CM7 i it only works on my home wifi and nowhere else

If it works at your home, then obviously no problem with the phone. It's either the office Wifi connection or the admin might have blocked it. You're supposed to work in office and not browse

what do you want to do? obtain root in ICS? or?
no no i got root permission! but wifi doesn't work, only this is the problem! smartphone work perfect except wifi! i tryed to reinstall stock wifi but nothing happend, still try to connect!
It looks like ICS WiFi is much weaker reception and speed then the GB...
I don't know if this is indeed so, but that's what it feels like.
I see man..and i'm still unable to connect to wifi after trying evertything and i think the only solution is to wait for the new version of doomkernel? there are no other change like to put the "original wifi module for ics" of this xperia s? i'm really stressed about this...!
Reflash ICS and make sure you wipe. ICS Wifi seems to work for everyone except you.

[Q] Rooted xperia mini pro sk17i ICS 4.0.4 CyanogenMod 9.0.0-mango Wifi problems

I've rooted my Xperia Mini Pro SK17i with ICS 4.0.4 CyanogenMod Version 9.0.0-mango before almost a month, everything were running amazingly fine and life was so beautiful, however, today my WIFI connection stopped to connect in any network, it shows "Avoided poor internet connection" after trying to obtain an IP and going in a loop to do so.
What i've tried to solve this problem so far:
1- WiFi problem on real ics 4.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811224
2- Fix WIFI Bug [X8/W8][ROM] CyanogenMod 9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523981
3- [X10 Mini Pro][ROM] Old Xperia Project Latest (CyanogenMod9) - 002 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365683&page=65
4- I've also tried to find the data/dhcpcd folder and file to delete them, but it wasn't in my SD card anyway.
I don't know what i should do with it now, please hellp

Go to /data/misc/dhcp/ and delete all files in this directory. If this won't work please attach a logcat when you try to connect.

Strange Wifi problem [Mini Pro]

Hello guys! I'm having a strange issue with all ICS and JB roms (stock or custom, doesn't matter, same problem):
- I can browse, and while I'm browsing with the default browser, the wifi works really well.
Let me show and example:
If I open an app like TuneIn Radio, I can only hear the station while I'm opening pages in the browser. If I just stop browsing, the connections seems to be lost. The same with Google Play, as long I'm browsing, it works like a charm and the downloads complete. Otherwise, the downloads get stuck.
I've never seem this kind of problem before, and other devices and the same device with GB roms works well.
Someone can help?
Thank you!

Try flashing another kernel via FastBoot. I strongly suggest MESA Hybrid v3.5 or LuPus v3.
New kernel always comes with a fixes..i agreed with Ctragas...and click thanks

Don't forget to flash WiFi modules (ti-wlan_v3.zip) via CWM after flashing LuPus kernel. With MESA Hybrid v3.5 you don't have to do that because WiFi module is integrated in the kernel, but you have to flash the appropriate module according to ROM type (ICS->stock, CM9, CM10).

Is this it? Connecting-authenticating then loop?
If yes u can solve it by using static ip address instead of dhcp
Yes i already set it as static its better but also disconnecting after while
