[Q] Ultimarom 9.x AOKP/CM Themes - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, a quick question regarding the new Ultima ROM release 9.x
I tried to post in the dev thread but apparently there's some hierarchy in place that prevents new users from posting there.
My question is regarding the option of installing Cyanogen / AOKP Themes from the playstore when using Ultimarom with the Touchwiz Launcher.
I may mix things up, but I think Ultimarom 8.1.1 did feature the Trebuchet launcher, which included an option to select various themes.
I am not finding this option in the 9.0 / 9.1 releases. Is there a way to install the trebuchet launcher via the Aroma installer ? Or how can I get above mentioned themes on my I9300 running Ultimatom 9.1 ?

There never has been that option, but I will add it into v10 if possible

Hey Kryten, thanks a bunch for the quick response, it is appreciated a lot. On a second thought I might indeed have mixed things up with JellyBam.
Since I can't post on the Dev thread I'll say it here: Awesome ROM, first custom one that will stay for good on my phone, keep up the brilliant work. I'm a PHP dev with quite some Linux experience, currently getting into the depths of android ( Java ) developement, so one day I might be able to contribute.
Thanks again mate.

[Q] Rom Manager Rom List looks incomplete?

hello there,
i installed Clockword Mod because i wanted to know if it is just as good as the people are talking (managing different Roms) but all Roms that i can see are the 2 CyanogenMod Builds (nighties and Stable)
then Extras
meLianTQ (where nothing is inside)
and the Google Apps
is this really the whole list? Or do i need to change something? Like a sources.list?
Regards
Seelbreaker
That's the whole list AFAIK.
Developers have to ask to get their ROM included in the list.

You mean "AOSP" ROMS
There are plenty of touchwiz custom roms that come with s-planner, but you cannot get it on AOSP ROM's without significant modifications.
Almost all samsung apps (and Sony apps, HTC apps etc) are built with framework dependencies that we do not know of (so we cant easily port them). They do this so their apps are a unique selling point of their device, over the others.
did you find any solution.?
GT I9300
TEMASEK's unofficial CM11 (latest)
Boeffla kernel (latest)
(Testing different settings for boeffla config v2 app. If you can recommend some setting which you think works good for you then please do.)
Stock battery
If i have helped you please hit thanks.

[Q] Android 4.3.1 Multi user option only available on PAC ROMs??

I have Installed several Android 4.3.1 based ROMs but non has the User (Multi user) option. Only PACMAN ROM has it. My question is shouldn't Android 4.3.1 have the Multi user ability built in? and if so why only PACMAN has it and not others like the latest slim build or aokp etc....
Sorry if this is redundant question or been answered before but really that feature is the most important development made by android and most needed. It is frustrating to see it omitted on such great ROM like Slim Build.
Thank you in advance and apologize for any shortcomings in my question.
Bump for exposure and hopefully someone can help him out. :highfive:

I'm not positive, but I think this is a google featured implemented in 4.2. I think the ROMs you may be using might have just taken those features out.

General Question about ROMs

I've tried searching and have had little luck in trying to get the details on this so hoping I can get a little more clarification here.
There's been a lot of good work being done by MasterAwesome in:
[ROM][5.1.1][STABLE] CyanogenMod 12.1 for OnePlus X
and while I understand some of the ROMs in Android Development such as Resurrection Remix and Euphoria are using the CyanogenMod 12.1 base and adding some customizations...
What is the benefit of using these as opposed to just using the source. I've tried to search for a quick guide to see what the added features or customizations are but unable to get clear answers to what each add that isn't on the other.
If this stable CyanogenMod gets to be an official build, will these ROMs be automatically updated as Cyanogen is or will you need to wait for each ROM developer to update them with nightlies, security patches, etc.
try resurrection remix

[Slightly off topic] What are you running? This is not a whats the best rom thread!

HELLO!
BEFORE we start.... This is not a post to ask what is the best rom, its basically asking what rom is on your phone?
I had a post similar to this on another forum, and people loved it, so its a question for you all.....
What are you running, when I mean running.....I mean Rom, Your Set Up (launcher, kernal etc)m what else makes your mobile special????
Worldwide we all use our phones differently, and this post is just to see what users set up your phone like
Is there a theme you use? a specific game? anything you wish to add :silly:
I'm using OP2 since last year September and running SkyDragon 4.0 (based on OOS 3.0. Beta community build). I have tried almost all roms currently there are in the forum(including Nougat roms), but none of them give me as good as battery life as this SD rom, except PA. However, PA has some bugs I can not live with.
BrokenOs + Boeffla kernel + Nova launcher + Arise Sound System
Official cm13, stock kernel with a few xposed modules. Nothing fancy for me.
Hunter's CM14 + Ben's 4.3 Kernel + Nova Launcher Prime + Substratum theme engine
