[Q] Rooting solution for the SCH-R530C? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I'm a new Galaxy S user. But I have a banged up EVO that I loved and hated. But that's veering off topic.
What I need help with is finding a root solution for mine, and my wife's phones. I've been searching Google for leads ever since I got this thing. But haven't found out whether the old guides (sometimes for a different model ) will work for me.
Anyone able to uncover anything useful?

[Q] rooting Bell Galaxy S Vibrant

Hi Guys, I have been reading the forums trying to get the device to go into recovery mode. I have read that Bell customers are having problems getting it to do this. I have not been able to do the home+power+vol- sequence. Should I try to exchange it for another unit. Or is there another way to achieve this? I apologize if this has been discussed and I have not stumbled across it.
Have you looked into this?
Wow, I feel stupid. Thank you very much, worked like a dream
Right on man. This was in the sticky, I would suggest browsing it for some other goodies.

Any up-to-date guides on rooting/romming Hero S?

I've spent the last few days trying to figure out how to root and rom my US Cellular Hero S and all I can find are hard to follow guides scattered around various non-xda forums. Since the phone never saw any 'official' support at XDA it was basically sent to the graveyard and never got the level of support that something like my captivate had. Because of this I'm having trouble figuring out what root method is best, a step-by-step guide to that method, and what roms are available for me to use.
Could anyone give me a hand with this? The only reason I am replacing my cappy with this hero s is because my cappy has an unfixable SoD issue and the hero s is a slightly better device.

[Q] from GT-N7000 to GT-N7005

Hey guys, I just swapped phones to the GT-N7005. I have been going through the forums since morning today and I cant seem to find a definite answer to which new i717 ROMs (if any) are compatible with that phone. I saw that the rooting method is basically the same as the i717. I tried an individual search in some of the most popular i717 around to check their compatibility with the N7005, no luck.
Help would be greatly appreciated at this point, thanks!
I used a few N7005 roms on my i717, so they are compatible.
Hello rangercaptain, thanks for your reply. Would that be possible the other way around? (i717 roms on n7005)
If so, is there a possibility to brick the phone and render the 4G unusable? I read in a few threads that flashing an i717 rom will mess with the modem of the phone since those 2 handhelds are a bit different.
I have been flashing devices since winmo 5 but I cant seem to figure this thing out.
I am a bit (actually a lot) confused, any clarification would be of great help!
(I am starting to regret that trade haha)

Rooting For The XT830C?

So I have searched on this forum before, and I did find many posts as usual. But the main ones I were looking fro were from 1 or 2 years ago, and the thread had been closed. In those threads, many people have asked for the Moto E XT830C to be rooted, but no one has ever foun a way. So I was just wondering does someone has an answer to all of our problems, or is this phone a lost cause. If it is, then we can all blame Tracfone/StrightTalk
My sister has the same phone from Total Wireless I'm trying to unlock and hopefully put a newer version of Android on using a custom rom so I'm wondering if there's a way to force unlock it as well.

root android 6 movic chinese off brand

Hi folks. My wife recently bought a Movic hero3. never heard of it before, cell phone. Does anyone have any ideas on how to root it? I am used to working on all the old chit android 4 and down, and mostly Sony devices. It appears Android 6 is not so straightforward to root. I have searched for the device online and it does not appear at all. Which cwm could I use for it if any? We live in Colombia, so there are a lot of strange brands of phones down here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The only reference to this brand is at movitec.com. No help there.
