[APK] Pimp my ROM - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Themes and Apps

Starting from Brocky's post, in this topic I want to discuss about this application, because the original topic of developer has over 200 pages.
What is, is compatible with our phones all has to do with this application.
Original thread: ☠ [APK][Tweaks & Mods] █ PIMP MY ROM █ v3.4 {Any Device // Any Rom}[ALPHA][WIP] ☠
Google play app link: Pimp my ROM

Very "helpful" your post. Completely.
Use the application? How, what settings, what what what ... more information would be extremely helpful, both for me and for other users.

You can change the i/o scheduler, the governor of the CPU, remove apps ADS, install some mods, change the screen DPI. These are the features that i tested
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app

i've tested almost all settings from the App but only one didn't worked ... the dual boot animation - but for me the boot animation it isn't important like the other futures that make our phone move faster and smoother
P.S. Before make the settings go to rescure -> then hit rescure package to have a backup of your old settings (in case you do wrong something)

Pimp my ROM works fine on my Galaxy S Advance.
However, some of the tweaks offered are probably placebo:
http://www.jeffmixon.com/examining-build-prop-tweaks-for-android-ics-a-comprehensive-guide-part-1/
Tom

Is there any where to check what each feature is supposed to do?
Because on the original thread I couldn't find any information and in the app the Help section is "Coming soon..".
Seems like a cool app, but there are so many features to use, without proper information (unless you are an Android developer and you already know them all ).

[ROM]TecnoBread by team WilbRoy|stock, alfs and linux dx|

hello xda user
this is our first rom so dont be so rude... we wanna know what you think before finish it and upload it
why TecnoBread? well.. easy.. tecno because it have a technologic look and bread because its based on gingerbread..rare combination dont you thinks so?
what is TecnoBread?:TecnoBread (TB) is a rom based on gingerdx v22 by doixhan and works with stock, linux dx and alfs kernel(both alfs and stock were tested). we think that if you use TB with nAa:it could make TB dont work or TB will work but wifi not so i dont recommend at anyway use nAa with TB
the main idea is to have a nice styling, fast and smooth rom, thats why we choose dx
in case you wanna know, yes, we have permission from doixhan, but just from him, to work on v23 and more we need permission from the new developers
some people refer to us as the team that ICSify dx but....we didnt just that we change lots of thing and remember that the main idea is not to have ics look, the idea is to have a nice styling rom with good performance, we choose ics style cuz it was the best look we found
what have we change ¿? well... almost everything but the dx esence still present on TB
here is a list of the most notable changes:
new fonts, 3 mixed font that will give your phone a better way to show all
build.prop tweaks
init.d tweaks
BRAVIA engine
changed android policy for new text in lockscreen
cm9 bootanimation(we are trying to find someone to make it one cuz its not that easy .)
custom boot sound
custom sounds(also called TBextra in sound settings)
ics ui sounds
latest google apps like:gmail, market(now called google play ), new google music(now called Google play music) and more
systemui
framework-res(this include ics layout, transitions, new lockers and more)
settings(thanks to iiandskater)-(to stay tuned go here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526925by the way we will update this app, nice work buddy
new achep theme(instead of a-theme now ics theme
new browser(faster bowser ever, also include a mini flash player)
new flash player
new calculator with ics style
ics camera(not official one but it look as much good as the other one, also let your phone take panoramic photos and improve image quality)this has been tested and work, i will upload some photos later
contacts app
phone app
latinIMEI
exodus livewallpaper(you will love it )
gallery 3d app
new ics mms app(replace for message app)
new launcher(ics launcher, nicer, better and faster)
superuser latest version(su binary not yet included)
themed talk, for new style and emoticons)
by now our team is conformed by:me leroy_coco and wilbso, we are just 14 years old and we have made all this i still cant believe that, if you wanna join the team let us know here or send a email to our gmail accounts telling us what would you do in TB and for what you are good on x8 roms
in case you press the thanks buttom, press it for wilbso too cuz he is a great teammate and without him, TB couldnt work, nice work wilbso
Here are some screenshots
the rom will be updated soon when we finish some little things
get prepared for TecnoBread
good bye and good luck
team WilbRoy
seems that is going to be good..
it sound good hardstyles all the way lads
Thanks, hope you enjoy this 3 months work

[Add-on][Tweaks/Mods/Apps]█ PIMP MY ROM █ v1.5.3 {Any Device // Any Rom}[AROMA][WIP]
Pimp my Rom is an aroma-installer based script that will allow you to choose between a plethora of nice tweaks, mods, apps, themes and features to add to your current rom.
YOU CHOOSE which options and tweaks to apply, all this with a nice touchscreen interface, even if you're not running a touchscreen recovery, thanks to Aroma.
You can now run this script on any Android Device !!! (GB/HC/ICS/JB)

this looks pretty handy....anyone tried it on the XS or know which tweaks work well etc? I'm just on stock rom, with moded status bar and launcher, and rooted, interested in trying some battery tweaks though still.
but on xperia go what runs with Ics we dont have cwm...
I tried it a few days ago on my S and couldn't use it properly because the colours and text were unreadable.
The OP had said something about them having to change the theme, so am waiting for an update about that.
Edit: seems this might have been fixed. Well give it a try later

There's a limit to the games you play on any device. Especially, on the Xperia U. So, if you've tried doing what the first couple of posts says. There is not much you can do my friend. The current ROMs in the development section are all optimized for playing a few high-end games at decent rates. But, Xperia U isn't a high-end smartphone. You can't expect a gold bar when you buy a bronze one. If you get what I mean.

[ Detailed guide ] [ How to ] Improve battery life & performance of ace.

UPDATED : 5th October 2013
Welcome to the Viper's thread on performance and battery life !
On topic : As you all know, no matter what ROM you use, no matter what the kernel is, you always seem to find a compromise for performance over battery life. If you are a guy that roams around with the charger after every 4-5 hours, and expect both performance as well as battery life, THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU !!
We'll start with the most basic settings for this and then go through under clocking etc. Let's get started !
Basic settings to have better battery life & performance :
Under the settings menu, do the followings :
1) Accounts & sync - untick background data and auto-sync.
2) Privacy - untick backup & restore.
3) Location & security - untick all.
4) Sound- Disable haptic feedback.
5) Display - Set low screen brightness, select no window animations, disable auto-rotation if you don't use landscape mode much/at all .
6) Applications- Development--> Untick usb debugging & untick allow mock locations.
7) Mobile networks : Tick use 2G only if you don't want to lose battery soon while browsing.
Some recommendations :
1) Do not use task killers frequently. Kill the tasks once. If not much memory is revived, reboot your device. I recommend rebooting your device atleast twice a day for lag free, better performance .
2) Once your battery gets as low as 15 to 20%, charge for 3 hours without a break.
3) Many roms come with applications that you never use. Either delete them using a root explorer if you never use them or just go to Settings --> Applications --> Manage applications ---> select the app you don't use --> force stop, in case you want to use those apps in the future .
4) Find the lighter alternatives for the heavy apps you use. For example, facebook touch over facebook for android.
5) If you're on cm7, under the cyanogenmod settings--> performance --> Enable 16 bit transparency, untick surface dithering, enable purging of assets, set zram compression to 26% under memory management for increased virtual capacity ( These options are available on CM10.1 too ) .
6) If you're on cm10.1, under the developer options, reduce window scale animations to zero, limit background processes as per your need to have a better battery life and more free RAM.
Thanks to brewy for making me assimilate the vitality of force stopping an unused app
7) Do not theme your launcher heavily. Use only those widgets that are needed. Heavy theming consumes more RAM, consequently, low battery.
Scripts that can be used:
1) Adrenaline engine : Included in most of the ROMs
Thread link : Here
Thanks to Imbawind .
2) Full GPU rendering : To reduce the CPU load & force the phone to use GPU for enhanced graphics. Thanks slaid
Thread link : Here
=-Or-=
If you are on cm10.1, under the developer options, you can enable the gpu rendering without the need of any script.
3) Adrenaline boost : It is a great script if you want just that hint of a boost for gaming.
Thread link : Here
Thanks to Imbawind again
4) Battery bar mod script : You have to draw your own results after flashing the script.
Thread link : Here
Thanks to : tazlooney89
5) Project silk : Another nice script for your overall performance & battery starvation.
Thread link : Here
Thanks to : Pulsedroid
6) Fly on mod : Another script mostly similar to the adrenaline engine.
Thread link : Here
Thanks to : slaid480
7) Pure Performances X : Recommended & works like a charm on all android versions !
Thread link : Here
Thanks to : Jeeko
8) Cross Breeder: This is another awesome performance enhancer & this script works on all the devices. It comes with a built in entropy generator like the fly on mod & the pure performances x. It also supports ad blocking to get rid of those annoying pop-ups on your shiny phone. You can update these host files periodically using the adaway app, check out the OP of the tweak to know more. Many more features this script offers, just visit the development thread to know more.
Note: Do not use seeder with this mod. You can only use it to monitor the entropy available. For more details on this, check the OP of the tweak.
Thread link: Here
Thanks to: idcrisis
NOTE : Enable USB debugging mode in the development settings before flashing any of the scripts. Fly on mod & pure performances x come with integrated entropy generator so no need to install Seeder over them. Check out the op of fly on mod to know how to enable/disable the entropy generator manually using terminal emulator. On pure performances x, the entropy generator is enabled by default.
Under clocking :
Under clocking limits the frequency of your phone and allows you to choose between different governors and I/O schedulers. This results in better battery life. But if you don't want to underclock the whole thing and prefer performance with screen on and battery life with screen off ( i.e., on stand by ), go through this thread by my dear friend SuperAce609 :
Thanks to him
Thread link : Here
You can use set CPU for root users or similar apps to set the profiles of your choice.
Apps :
Seeder : I use the Seeder entropy app for lag reduction ( moderate mode ) with all the options checked in ( ticked/opted or whatever you call it ) .
I think the app is free for XDA users.
Tweaks app on stock : This app is mostly included in all the stock based roms. It encloses several tweaks with darktremor a2sd support. Open this app, grant su permissions, tick everything except media straightfright & Darktremor a2sd. Hit apply & reboot.
All these steps and settings have been tested by myself on a cm7 ROM with fire kernel for nearly a week and I can definitely say, my battery that once lasted for just a matter of hours with much of the time on standby, now lasts easily over a day for moderate use . For browsing on edge, it lasts for about 2 hours. I just lost just 7% of battery after listening to over 1.5 hours of non stop music ! Btw, my phone and battery are nearly 2 years old ! Hope this helps you all ! It took nearly an hour for me to write this thread up ! So don't forget to leave a thanks behind .

But no one had mentioned about the most basic settings that considerably help even an unrooted / non-rooted user. Super Jelly Bean (SJB) Mods/Apps/Themes/TroubleShooting

Hey guys, try out SJB for 2011 xperia line, its an awesome rom !
As a begineer I would like other pro users here, to share there apps or mods that work on this rom (SJB) . It will help other users too.
Users can post their requests on this post :sly:
Sony Xperia Arc
Powered by Super Jelly Bean
Kernel : Super Fusion
I use v.7.1 with SuperFusion v2
Good ROM, great performances and battery drain.
- I use "Xperia Honami Keyboard for CM10" MOD and works well
- with this ROM works all theme for CM10.
- Motorola camera app works perfect, and isn't affected by green preview problem. I recommend using this.
Only problem that I notice it's google maps compass/indicator problem....indicator go crazy and there are graphical artifacts when navigate.
This is a CM10 bug, and if someone can help us to fix it, will be good. Maps navigation it's impossible...
does anyone have the same problem as me?
i have always done all 3 wipes etc but everytime i try to copy something to system/app, it fails
this occured to me in sjb 7 and 7.1

But THIS isn't a thread to discuss APPS, THEMES, MOD or TROUBLE SHOOTING for Super Jelly Bean?
Because for now, I read less about it...In my post I wrote mods that I've use, Apps...Camera app that I suggest to use...
I think that It's time to rename this thread in something else...
This forum works well because there are sections: Q&A section it's dedicated to every questions do you have to post. Every. Noob or not.
But, when you write questions about others in a thread "title" to a specific argument, you're going OT.
Sorry my controversy, but at this point I don' t understand the meaning of this thread.
In the first post I would put links to dedicated kernel, optimal configuration, tips about battery safe settings, themes that you used with this rom...mods compatible or personal experience about mod don't indicated as compatible, but that works...
Then, In my opinion this should be the direction.
So, if you want to live up to the title, the next posts should be:
- Version of the SJB ROM Installed
- Kernel version
- Mods installed, or about you want to ask the functioning in this ROM.
- Installed Themes (tested and works)
- Apps recommended or ideals for this ROM.
- Any tips or inquiries about these topics.
What do you think? It's this the sense of this thread?
@DomusX10 agree with you.
Have a question though. Do you think this thread was really needed. Q and A thread for SJB already exist
And there's a dev thread too. And as OP says its the "best" rom. Do you think there is something like best rom or best kernel?
If someone is asking you "walkman for 4.3" and if this is Q and A thread you can simply tell him the answer. And last, theres nothing like discussing abt themes, apps, mods abt rom(s). Op already has the compatible mods list in dev thread. And apps and themes taste vary from person to person. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Yes, I agree that already exist a Q&A...I think that creator of this thread thought to make a thing like that made for slimbean...a kind of container for opinions and advice, directly by users..
In order not to encroach on the main discussion of questions on a specific app or maybe a mod.
But it is not working well and that's why I wrote .. I think as it is useless.
