Can Microsoft Surface Pro Pen work? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Accessories

I was wondering if there is any way to get the pen of the Surface Pro to work on our tab. Working at Staples I got a chance to try it but of course it did not work. Wondering if anyone with more knowledge could help out.

Also tried it out in one of the shops here. Actually feels that it works the same way as Samsung's Note series. So far no one have made it work as I suspect that our display responds to just purely capacitive touch.

Actually our tabs have the Atmel touch sensor and they are working on a stylus, mxts100, that should work with our tab. There is a YouTube video showing the stylus at work with a Verizon 10.1 tab. I have contacted then as well as their authorized retailers and no one can give me a release date or price this is the one thing our tab is missing, aside from JB, in order to be complete.
It would be nice if maybe someone would give the Surface Pro Pen a try and see if it could work with our tab.

Simple answer : NO.
Surface uses a wacom digitizer, just like the Note.

Stylus for Xperia S

Hi all,
I am trying to find stylus for XS. Before you start asking why I need it, let me explain. Recently I got addicted to Draw something game/app. And I need stylus to draw more accurate drawings. I tried pencil with rubber at the end of it, but it does not work due to capacitive screen. Maybe some shops/ebay sells something like that, but I want to buy the one that definitely works and the end of it as thin as possible. Has anybody got experience using something like that? Does stylus for Galaxy Note would work?
Thanks in advance.

I use the capacitive stylus designed for iphone/ipad and they work.

Indeed the s-pen is a wacom pen and requires a special wacom layer in the de device.
Any capacitive style will work with xps.
Thanks gents,

I got this one as an extra with a case I bought, it works well mostly but sometimes is a bit hit and miss.
If you want something for precise work this might not be to your liking.

keyboard case for note i717

I've been looking for a case with a Bluetooth keyboard for my note but I can't find it.....
Has anyone seen any case like this one???

I had that exact keyboard attachment for my iphone and in all honesty, it was terrible...
maybe its just me, but those little keyboards with non-standard key layouts are a pain, and you end up typing faster with the touch screen.
if you are really looking for a true Keyboard, that you can actually get some work done on, I highly suggest the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Android, I cannot say enough good thinks about it.
its extremely sturdy, very comfortable and easy to type on, never has a problem connecting immediately, just an all around solid keyboard. The carrying case also doubles as a stand for your phone, with multiple viewing angles.

I see where your coming from.. I was a crackberry user for about a year, and yes, their keyboards are phenomenal. If you could find a bluetooth one that had the same key style and setup as the blackberries, id be all for it.
Im just not a big fan of the mini keyboards.. they are just laid out weirdly and dont feel comfortable to me. who knows, maybe its just me.
Give that one a shot and let us know how it is

While I like the style of the case I can't help but wonder how useful the keyboard will really be. The case isn't rigid so using it to thumb type with the phone flipped open won't be possible and it's too small to use as a traditional keyboard while sitting flat on a desk.
I'm definitely looking forward to a full review.
Edit:
For those interested I found the same case on Amazon for slightly less, free shipping:

What do you guys think about this laser keyboard ?????
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I own the version of that Logitech keyboard for tablets that was made for the iPad and it works great with the Note. I use it just a little since I do mostly pen input but wrote a blog post yesterday using the keyboard. There is a version made for Android but I'm not sure what's different. Likely just the shortcut keys.

I've always wanted to give one a try but the price just isn't right for me. I imagine the learning curve on accuracy is a little steep at first but if it works well I could see never wanting to go back to a physical keyboard.

The accuracy is not the hard part. the hard part to get used to is no tactile feed back. That, and not typing so hard that you bruise your finger tips The other issue with those keyboards is compatibility.
Looks like it's a dud, check the review...

Assuming this is the one he's talking about I'd be making an unhealthy (probably destructive) level of modifications before carrying it around. Given the button style it probably works really damn well though.

That's cool seems Samsungs S pen isn't all that exclusive to our note. I assume it has something to do with what ever software on these products that register the pen. As I doubt those products have the same hardware as the note.

Stylus suggestion for the TF300?

Good evening.
I was looking for a stylus for the TF300, but I didn't know what should I buy. I'd use it for underline pdfs and taking notes with Supernote.
Is there anything like the Samsung S Pen? I'd like to spend less than 20 euros.
Thanks in advance
I'd like to know this too...anyone help?
Maybe with an UP...
Only stylus for iPads or normal android phone or works with iPhone will work. But they're not very accurate it's like drawing with your finger but it's a stick as the stylus had big surface area so that the even can detect it.

Any capacitive style stylus will work. Mostly anything listed here will work. Obviously the cheaper they are the lower quality they are. My step mom bought her Stylus for 10 bucks, its all metal, i got 3 for 5 bucks, they are all plastic.
the ones best buy sells are awesome. i think its targus brand? i use it for everything.

I bought a cheap aluminum one today with a felt tip, it it works pretty well with a light touch, and no screen protector.
Specifically, the tip is a rubberish felt material, that slides across the screen easily without getting stuck.
this may sound dumb, but do you guys rest your palms on the screen when you write? i am hating the "only the pen touching" thing. if i rest my palm though, it doesnt know where i want to write. Anybody else seeing the predicament here? Thoughts? techniques? am i missing something obvious? i liked the idea of a stylus until this manifested itself.

About two years ago I bought a metal stylus with a rubber tip from a pound shop in the UK. I wondered if it would work with my Galaxy S2 but of course it didn't. Still, I'm glad I didn't throw it away because a year later when I tried it on my tf300t it worked like a charm.

Can you expand on what exactly does and doesn't work?
Well you have to use a little more pressure than a regular capacitive pen. I didn't buy it the intention of taking notes or drawing with it. For me it was more tapping areas of the screen in my office doc's and such. That's why I sy works and it doesn't.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Yah I was hoping that it would be more useful than it is. I miss the s-pen and hope release a note 8.4
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
poetic capacitive stylus is more affordable
they both do the same thing
i usually go with the slightly more affordable option they seem to have done me good so far.
its just like a finger
u can use when ur wearing gloves
good for cold weather
http://www.poeticcases.com/capacitive-stylus-pen
What makes c pen different from s pen?
C-Pen is (Finger) touch only. and the S-Pen requires that screen have an additional wacom-like layer built-in to allow pressure-sensitive movements and pen hovering identification with the pen and the tablet screen.
So the s-pen won't work on our tablets ?
