[REQ] Kernel for sola with good battery life - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello.
I have sony rom stock for xperia sola but the battery drains very quickly .
Do you recommend any kernel with long life battery and a good performance ?
I don't neither a custom rom nor wiping my data, so a custom kernel stock based is what I'm looking for.
And I have another question:
If I flash a custom kernel, do I have to re-root and re-install cwm recovery ?
Thanks!

I have downloaded the .54fw kernel from this thread :

Is it stock?
It's not that stable kernel ...

How to install CM9 and X Kernel on LWW?

Hi, I just want to know how to install CyanogenMod 9 on my Live, and X Kernel. I can't consider myself as a noob, since I have already flashed SE phones before, and now that I have my first smartphone (WT19i) I'm very happy with it and I've already root it and installed CWM. But the problem is I have never installed a Rom before, and I don't know how does they work, but I saw a video of a Live with CM9 installed and I really liked it, so I want to know how to do it and install X Kernel too. Has someone already try CM9? I would like to hear how is it going for you.... Thanks.
No u cant. Currently the xkernel only supports gb roms. Cm9 needs its own kernel.
And u probably need to update baseband too.
Ok thanks for your quick reply. So if I have ICS Stock Rom installed, what Kernel would you recommend me to save more battery life?
And is there a better ICS Rom than the Stock one? Because I would like to try something new..
Only stock or stock based rom will give best battery life.
Last time I try cm9 it got horrible battery life. But that was weeks ago. Hearing good thing about latest fxp cm9 126.
My personal favorite and daily driver is muiv4, with my own kernel. Miuiv4 is beautiful and got many cool feature that I need. But still a little bit battery drainer tho.
In the end it depends on your needs.
Want battery saver, use stock or custom rom based on stock.
Want blazing fast rom use cm9.
Want beautiful elegant rom use miuiv4.
is cyanogenmod9 has its built in stock kernel? or i will install kernel cyanogenmo9?

You need to install cyanogenmod kernel by fxp or the one provided in the zip file
It's a boot.img and the easiest way to flash it is using flashtool...
How to install custom roms/kernels is in my signature...

So many roms, kernels etc etc

I am relatively new to the whole flashing custom roms scene etc. I have a Xperia Go currently running stock ICS 6.1.1.B.1.54 but I am not happy with the battery life. I have not experience any performance issues running this firmware but the battery drain is starting to get me down. Now, before I flash back to stock GB I would just like to hear other people's experiences with custom roms etc. Can they improve battery life etc because they have a lot of bloatware removed?
Any info greatly appreciated...
Yes custm roms r good than stock..
U should try..
Either its stock based or cm based...
Just see before that is that rom stable or not..

Thanks - could you possibly suggest one for me to try please?
I am back on GB now but can't help thinking my battery life would be better if I could get rid of the all the Sony bloatware. When I open running services it's full of crap!
I recommend you CyanogenMod.
So I can install a custom kernel but I don't necessarily need a custom rom? Sorry for the stupid questions but all I want is better battyer life. I am very happy with the performance of my device
Also, I was wondering if a good alternative for me would just be to root my phone and remove all of the bloatware using titanium backup or similar?

go to the Xperia go section
1. Unlock ur bootloader
2. install an autorooted kernel. Try TheBrains Kernel
3. flash via cwm, the experience lite v1.0

Hi there, a new user here, I have a question regarding kernel. My battery seems to be doing well but recently i've flashed my xperia u with the SXU_TerraRomICS_V1_B54_Final that i got from XDA and my battery indicator is going down pretty fast even in deep sleep. My main consumator is the screen as show in the phone stats. Is this a kernel problem? And if I flash a new kernel will it change my apps, fonts and other?
PS : I like the way my phone is now and I don't want to change anything but to improve my battery life if possible

[Q] (Xgo) Cm9 or Stock

I was just wondering whether i should use munjeni's stock rom with oc kernel, or is the cm9 rom by fxp is worth it. Has anyone tried both and if so which gives better performance.
About CM9 and the .54

In my Opinion the Stock ROM ICS: a burden, seems like a just out of the 'beta' rom.
The CM, something is bothering me and I didn't found the thread about the Stock ROM b.54 ... Why do we have to have this ROM instead of the c.10 ??
Seems illogical for me regarding the baseband modem.
So if you find the answer to the b.54, please share it.
About you doubt bet on CM.
Regards.
There is no need for overclocking the cpu. I use CM9.1 on my Go and it runs very nice.
@lvcargnini the .54 ROM updates your modem firmware

ok, So it is done.
Running CM9 now, and it is really nice and neat this FXP203, of course this LED bar is annoying me.

Battery always at 100%.

I'm facing a weird problem. It happens with ctcaers kernel and some custom ROMS like hd ultimate , zelly cream etc.
Battery percentage stays at 100% all the time.
I don't think that it is a hardware problem because battery meter is correct with other kernels. It is also correct with JB roms.
Has anyone a solution ?
Thanks

Even I experienced this weird problem... The things i did was,
Flash the stock ROM first and then try different ICS Kernels and boot up to see which works fine ( Because the problem is only in certain ICS Kernels , I experienced this problem only in the kernel kappa v1.7 )
Yes , flashing another kernel like Lupus solves the problem.
I will try now. Because i flashed stock rom but it isnt solves.
Try bettery calibrator from to fix the problem.

trying stock rom alone doesn't solve the problem, after flashing stock ROM flash some Other custom Kernel and see if battery meter works ....
this problem is only in some kernel like Kappa 1.7 etc...

Hey ..
PROBLEM :=>>
I think There is a problem with stock ICS kernel that it shows battery 100% always and you can not get right percentage of battery remaining by widgets and other apps from play store...
It happens with me when i flash stock ICS firmware ...
When you pull out the battery for some minutes/hours it shows 100% it is not hardware problem it is kernel problem...
SOLUTION :==>
This problem happened with me for sometimes i searched on google and xda but couldn't get proper solution that works 100%...
Reboot to CWM recovery...
Go to ADVANCED=> WIPE BATTERY STATS
POWER OFF phone
Flash custom kernel using flashtool in fastboot mode...
AND you are done..
This solution works for sure and i have done this for quite times 100% working with XPERIAS ...:good:
RAGE KERNEL problem :==>
I have tried rage kernel v3.2 but i am not satisfied with that ...:crying:
Battery drains quickly without usage (in 6 hours battery drains 25% without turning on screen)
Phone is getting heat because of over clocking ...
Sometimes phones hangs in such way that no hardware buttons works and screen is on touchscreen not works...i have to pull out battery and restart it...
QUESTION :==>
As there is a problem with ICS stock kernel we have to flash custom kernel ....
What is the best kernel for stock ICS .587???

I tried KAPPA kernel but still 100% always problem is not solving by this kernel ...
Then i tried LUPUS kernel but it is working awkwardly my system was not booting up only kernel boot ...so this also failed...
Then i flashed RAGE kernel and got battery percentage back and then flashed stock kernel back by stock ftf file.......
Now if i will pull out my battery the problem will still continues .....
So i am still finding a BEST KERNEL........

Latest stock Rom - but rooted?

Im on the unofficial lineage 14.1 and while I love the rom so far, battery life is terrible. 4 hours into my day and I'm at 50% battery life.
So I'm looking to go back to a stock Rom that's rooted so I can underclock the CPU and debloat it. Is there a stock Rom that's flashabke through TWRP?
Or, alternatively, does anyone have any solutions to the battery drain I'm experiencing? Flash a rooted kernel maybe? If so, which kernel?

Yes, there is mine builds for both 5121 and 5122, but they are a little bit outdated. Else you can use @lubik1's deodexes.

Try XGen
it boots ROOTED once you flash it via TWRP and is on the LATEST Stockrom from Sony
Fully Deodexed and Debloated!
