SuperCID - does not work with latest OTA 2.04.605.2 - HTC Droid DNA

I have not been able to find a single post that definitively states this, but here's my experience:
Switched from Sprint to Verizon Friday the 15th, got a Droid DNA.
As I walked to my car, I saw it start an OTA update and didn't think anything of it.
Came here and researched root, etc.
Followed instructions in HTC DNA SuperCID thread, CID still = VZW_001
I guess if we have an new DNA running 2.04.605.2, we'll have to wait.
Thanks to all who do the hard work figuring this stuff out - I'll wait patiently with my fingers crossed.

Note: This is for DNA users who have successfully achieved superCID. If you have accepted the OTA without getting superCID FIRST, you’ll need to wait a little while longer, we have something in the works for you.....

I'd love to know as well. I did the OTA and have been pulling my hair out wondering if there is a lovely new method. I am also willing to donate to Jcase and other devs for all of their hard work. :fingers-crossed:

Ditto on donations. Lets figure this thing out!

I was also wondering whether there is a workaround to return to stock prior to the OTA, and simply downgrade to the point where we can get the SuperCID working.....
Gonna give that a try.

I wouldn't think so. Otherwise, if it does when an ota comes around, try looking in the settings. I doubt it will warn you every hr though. Don't know and won't know soon unless verizon actually releases the ota on time

How would be PayPal, who is to be determined. "They" want a Moderator here to keep hold of the "pot" for the Dev or Devs that finally crack this thing. Even though the cash is a nice motivator and I wish the people that are working on this luck, if it can't be done it just can't be done. Wouldn't it just be nice to talk to the team who developed Verizon's firmware update and just ask for the "key" to unlock it, it'll be our little secret and Verizon doesn't need to know who leaked it.

Sadly, from what I've read. Not much can be done unless HTC releases it.
Not even sure if they can reverse-engineer it or something.

It can be rooted but only with the moonshine s-off which isn't out yet. From what I've read moonshine will s-off and root your device all in one shot and once that's done you can flash until your eyes bleed.
It's coming soon and that's all we're going to know until it's released so just sit back and browse the ROMs and kernels until it's here.
Edit: you also have the option of sending your phone in to get jtagged which will unlock your phone so you can flash stuff if you really can't wait. Think that's about $50.

How to tell if DNA has the OTA update?
Thinking of purchasing a used DNA (coming from a Gnex), and getting very intimidated by all the threads on rooting.
Looks like Moonshine is where it's at for this phone, but can someone tell me how where to look to see if the phone has
the OTA update already? A screenshot would be greatly appreciated but I'll take what I can get.

Doesn't Moonshine require the bootloader be unlocked before it will work? I just bought a used DNA and it has the latest OTA, so I seem to be at an impasse. Any help with where to go from here would be greatly appreciated!

Most likely the updates will automatically give you a popup when found, or you can manually check for updates.

Moonshine will S-Off and unlock your bootloader all in one snap. I recommend factory resetting the phone before attempting to rule out any issues. It will work, I've moonshined 8 different htc devices and all worked 100% without issue.

I'm back to S-Off, unlocked and 2.07.605. Apparently, Verizon didn't fix the exploit in this update. So unlike them.
