Hi I don't know whether or not this is useful to yourself but I had a similar problem with my S2 and my S3.
Every now and again it would unmount my SD card and I would get a similar message.I used an app from the play store called the SD card monitor "i think" to check for errors and to see how often this happened.
After all this a quick backup of the memory card, a quick factory reset followed by software update cured my problem for both handsets.
If this has helped please :good: this :highfive:

[Problem] Occasional restart of the phone

Hi,
I am a n00b in regards to P500, but I used to have an LG GT540 which pretty much similar.
Anyway, I got my P500 yesterday and installed the V10B ROM with arabic support through KDZ. All went fine. I rooted with Z4Root and also all went fine. The probelm now is that the phone restarts every few hours without doing any thing. I mean sometimes when its in my pocket, others wen it is just laying there on the table.
Is that a hardware issue or a ROM issue?
Any help appreciated.
Jst rewipe and reflash and chk again
Got that fixed by changing the SD card. I had a class 4 8GB Kingston that seemed to cause this by the "SD card unexpectedly removed" error and causing the phone to freze and restart.
I changed it to a class 10 card and the problem stopped. 12 hours now without the restart or the "sd card unexpectedly removed" issue. I will test more and report here.
Class 4 sd cards unmount when the phone tries to write something to the card. There is no problem with reading data from the cards. I have the same problem but I can't buy a new card now and as long as I don't write anything to the card the phone will not restart. Thank goodness I dont have a 3g connection.

[Q] Is my microSD screwed?

Hi all,
Today, out of the blue, I see a message in the status bar saying "Blank SD card" and "SD card blank or has unsupported file system".
I don't care too much about the data on it (I have backups), but I tried to format it (within Android) a few times and remount it and it still gives me that message.
I also tried to format it in CWM but I get an error message saying that the SD card can't be mounted.
So I'm a bit stuck here... what can I do?
Thanks!

rent0n,
I had the same problem about 3 months back. when I went back to the store, they swapped my card. When I asked about all my info, the told me it couldn't be recovered. Sorry for your loss.

[Q] Preparing SD Card, Checking for error

Every few hours or so, I will get this message. My music player playlist will be wiped out, I am assuming the phone lost connection with the SD card, hence the connection with the music files on my SD card.
I am running CheckROM v5.5, Jelly Bean. FYI, the problem happens even when I was using ICS.
I have read around and tried to reformat from phone, but the problem persists. Any kind souls to help out here? If there any app to check if this is a faulty card or something? It's still covered under warranty I believe, so I can get the SD card changed.
Thanks

Try out the card in another device, if you get the same message the card is faulty.
There is a Windows tool for checking cards, have a look in one of the sd card threads and you should find the name of it, or Google it
thank you both for your suggestions
@gee it would be hard to replicate that environment, since the message occurs randomly at infrequent intervals, but thanks anyway
I have same problem too, when I on gingerbread my phone being normal and no error sd card but when I on Jelly Bean my phone being "preparing sdcard checking error"

[Q] SD card; works in CWM, not in android

Hi everyone,
I'm terrible sorry if I'm asking a question that's been answered before, but I tried my best searching the forums to find a solution without luck.
I've just flashed my phone to cyanogen first, and then paranoidandroid. The problem i'm having is that i can't get my sd card working.
It works in CWM, and I've tried formatting it there many times; but i only get the "Blank SD card" error, and nothing happens when i format it
in android. I've tried formatting it in windows in FAT32, but i just get the same error msg or "Damaged SD card" error.
I think I got it working in cyanogen by changing the location for where the image were being stored, but i can't find that option in paranoidandroid even though it looks like the exact same camera app.
My phone is i9300t and the sd card i'm using is sandisk 64g.
And responds is welcomed with thanks

Edit; got it working by putting it into another phone and transferring a file on it.

[Q] android problem preparing storage

hi everynone
I recently bought one of those Chinese tablets called XON (android 4). Everything works fine except for 1 thing, though!
when SD card inserted, the tab checks it very often displaying "preparing storage" msg in the corner and if an app is running a file it will close down. Moreover, this keeps happening while the tab is on stand-by and drains the battery! I've tried formatting tab and sd and reset factory settings.the problem persisits with different SDs so its not the SD issue.when the SD is not inserted this msg is not displayed.
can anyone help me out??
