Beans 10...can't change lock screen wallpaper - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Over the weekend I swapped from CleanRom Lite to Beans build 10. I noticed that I can no longer change the wallpaper background on my lock screen. I use golauncher and also noticed that I am no longer able to change app drawer wallpaper background.
Anybody else seeing this problem?

Are you using the gallery to change it. It will not work with the 4.2 gallery if you selected that in aroma during install. No sure about go launcher tho as I haven't used that since pre-ics days

So when I go to that option, it only allows me to pick a wallpaper using gallery. It won't allow me to use any of the other media apps like quickpic...
Can that be changed? How can I have the phone allow me to use quick pic at the choose lock screen wallpaper selection screen?

Here's what mine looks like even after I change lock screen wallpaper using quick pic to set.

You need to open gallery, find the pic you want, hit menu, then set as. This will bring up options where to set it

After I do that, the wallpaper remains the same. This really isn't that big of a deal, just a small thing I would like to be able to do. Any thoughts on why it won't take?
I will try restarting the phone and see if that does anything...

Hmmmm. Not really sure from here. Could be an issue from the pin lock? Have you tried changing it to swype and see if it works? If not I'm not sure, maybe a go launcher issue.

Go to: System settings / Display / Wallpaper / Lockscreen

[Q] Custom wallpaper on Lock Screen

Can you change the lock screen wallpaper to what you downloaded? Or are you only limited to Samsung's stock images?
Yes you can. I use QuickPic for my gallery so when I see a pic I want to use for my lockscreen wallpaper I just long press it and some options will come up, one is lockscreen wallpaper, select it and then it'll have you crop the pic you want to use...if it's too big, done deal.

I tried that method, but only the option to set the homescreen wallpaper pops up. I tried changing the lock screen wallpaper with one of the Samsung defaults, but I get "Unfortunate the SECWallpaperChooser is not responding" or something like that. I wonder if that's the problem.
You might have removed some apps from system/app
That could be the cause your your trouble

I think you're right. Thanks

Lock screen shortcuts are gone.

Lost my lock screen shortcuts and can't get them back. Box is checked in "personalize" settings. Any ideas?

Try changing an icon in your dock.

Are you completely stock, or have you changed ROMs/kernals/themes?

Hmmm. Here's what I would try next, just for the hell of it: remove all of your icons from your dock and from your main home screen. Change your wallpaper to something else stock. Reboot. Put one normal, everyday (like the phone dialer or people, etc) icon/shortcut - not a widget - in your dock. Reboot. Check lockscreen. See your shortcut?
HTH!
Try going to personalize under settings and go to lock screen. There should be options for different lock screen options.

What did you install before this happened? You said you are stock, but are you rooted? Delete anything? This wouldn't just disappear without either clicking that setting off, or deleting something you shouldn't have.
I know you said stock... but did you install a different launch.. ie Nova, Apex... etc. and stop/freeze sense. When i did that i lost the lockscreen apps. Kinda sucks but sense needs to be running to have those, regardless of using it or not.... Good luck

You're right man, switched to sense and they came back. Thanks, just have to decide if it's worth it now, really like nova. Thanks a million.

Lockscreen shortcuts are the icons in the sense dock. Even if you are running nova it will pull them from the sense dock.

Yeah keep nova installed and just make sure sense is running... A little waste of memory, but with 2gb you'll never notice.

The only thing that sucks is that too change the shortcuts i have to enable sense to change them. Then switch back to nova.

With this you can remove Rosie and still have the shortcuts I think.

Don't disable Sense. As far as enabling it to change the dock, just go into Nova settings and use the "Default launcher" button towards the bottom. Go to Sense, "Just Once" and set your dock. Hit the Home button and click Nova, "Always". Done.
same prob with htc one
i installed xposer installer and sense 5 tool box and everything was fine. but the next day i decided to re install my ARHD Rom to get rid of the mods had done before and then, my lockscreen apps were gone and widgets on lockscreen are not working...

I think you're in the wrong forum, the Droid DNA doesn't have an ARHD rom.

Wallpaper without cropping

Is the any ways to set the lock screen wallpaper without cropping?

If you go into the gallery and hit set as and set as lock screen it'll usually crop off very little depending on the size.

What you really need is
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImx3cC5zdXBlcmx1bWluYXIuc3dhbGxwYXBlciJd
Landscape Wallpaper (free)
I tried many of other apps before, didnt like them at all. This one is way too simple too use and actually works great.
You can customize it too and the best part is... its too easy!
Strange...works for me. In Picture settings you can choose 4 options, including fit to screen which should eliminate any crop.

Spotify Lock screen controls

Does anyone know if there is an app for music controls on the lock screen? Specifically for spotify?
I'm running Beans 14.

I have always used asop lock screen and I don't have it.

I went into spotify and checked the box that says "device broadcast status" and I now have lockscreen controls.

I'm using the newest version of Spotify and I was able to get lockscreen controls without changing any options in the Spotify app by using a pattern lock. I have not tried this with PIN or other types of lock screens, but the controls show up where they should and function properly when using pattern lock. They do not work at all with the TouchWiz standard unlock screen from my experience. This is sadly the only way I've been able to get them working without using a third party lock screen app.

Resetting changed icons?

Usually you can just delete the shortcut in your home screen, then drag and drop a new one from the drawer. However, I seem to have run into a problem with my gallery app. No matter what icon theme I apply, it won't change the icon! Does anyone know how to fix this?

My be launcher, I would just change that. Or are you using a AOKP/CM/PAC theme, try another one. Thats as far as I can help because really, there isnt a fix for that orther than these options. But you can also look for an icon changer on app store (90% of theme require root)
