Need help in Settings.apk Urgent - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys n gals
i 'hv been working on a rom and reached till the end but now m facing some problems in settings.apk
i hv made ICS style settings .apk but faced a problem.....
see the attachment below pls....help
and in framework also 1 problem so pls help me by seeing the image below

u hv to do it in framework-res.apk...in drawable-xxxx
xxxx is whatever (ldpi, mdpi, hdpi etc)

I guess it's in Settings.apk, not framework-res.apk

framework-res.apk is located at the /system/framework folder of your phone. It is used for modding using UOT kitchen.

careful on using somebody else's framework.apk and systemui.apk.. it must be from the same FW version with the one you are using
does frameworks differ in other firmwire?
I want systemUI.apk from system/app
I don't own this phone so please tell me if there are any updates released by samsung yet ?
I will try to create theme for you guys

ExternalTaskSwitcher ------------ In smali/com/android/systemui/recent
FIles I EDITED ::::::
PhoneStaturBar ,PhoneStaturBar$H ------------ In smali/com/android/systemui/statusbar/phone
.
SO JUST ADD THOSE FILES FROM MY SYSTEMUI AND PASTE IN YOURS
OR JUST DIRECTLY COPY MY CLASSES.DEX IF COMPATIBLE

Read the title my friend - this is after u use my port and if u need to use ur own systemui.apk , the full tutorial will be published later

my personal SystemUI I did! I need to change now in his personal framework-res.apk without reboot in power menu? Please write that edit in framework-res.apk?

Na, that was files of Xperia S I think, yeah it was, I actually was trying to port the tablet version , then I thought Xperia T would be much simpler and better for our phones, sorry for that
if i put those files on cm10 framwrok and add the small apps system will reconise them??

I dont think so, it's for ics and Sony fw
Can you tell me what did you edit in PhoneStaturBar and PhoneStaturBar$H?

- i use apktool for this v.2.0.4 from '''xperia mini/pro/lww-themes and apps thread'' (on top theres a threa how to add framework mods)
the log is from apk tool
the problem is at this time i am unable to get a recompiled apk..

Changing touchwiz blue to black... ??

Hey guys...is there any way that we can change the touchwiz theme found in dialer, contacts and messaging to black... I really hate the blue color.. I tried extracting the apk but I don't which png files to replace to make it black or can someone do it for me.. I even want to change the dialpad color.
. how can I do that...?? plz help...??

M using apk multitool... I extracted d apk and I got many drawable folders... which to check out...??

That is where the problem is. In systemui most ldpi icons are used but also some from mdpi folder in notification bar and so on....
U will need to see about that
just checkout all folders and see its name
I will have a better idea if u can give me an apk

I can't upload d apks as m havin xams... but I can tell u d filename one is Seccontacts.apk another is secphonemultisim.apk... nd device is nothin but galaxy y...

Hi guys i ws making a systemui for kitkat xperience rom bt evrytime it doesnt work out
a friend of mine told me that the pngs r not correctly resized/modified
can any1 tell me an easy nd working way how to resize the pngs

You can easily resize some pic by Microsoft picture manager or Photoshop.
I use G.I.M.P
Best and easy method is
Try Photoscape
