Intalling CM10 on Xperia Mini Error - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello guys, I have a problem. I was trying to install CyanogenMod 10 on my Xperia Mini andI have faced a problem. After I click ˝yes install.." it says :
E:Error in /sdcard/FXP207-cm-10-20130216-UNOFFICIAL-smultron.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I have rooted my phone, unlocked bootloader and wiped everything (data/factory reset, cache, dalvik...)
Please help me, I really want to have CM10 on my phone. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Status 7

This doesnt belong in themes and apps.
If you dont know this, why did you even bother with unlocking the bootloader??
I will not give you the answer as if i would, this would make other noobies post question threads on themes and apps...

ohh.....I see, thanks

This status 7 error is most probably due to some error in sdcard or the zip is corrupt. Try redownloading the whole zip. Also don't wipe system and still if it doesn't works, backup all ur sdcard stuff in ur pc. Format the sdcard, place just the rom in it, install and if successful move all the contents back to sd. Even then if it doesn't works try different sdcard. Still if u get the error try on another device.
Press THANKS if I helped,
Best Regards,
AJ

I've other opinion differs from the posted above
Try to flash with lupus kernel for JB
If the problem happen again. Flash stock rom with flashtool then flash cm 10 kernel, do wipes, flash zip.
This method is working for me.

Bootloops are due to framework issues and since .368, .42 and .58 have different framework, please could people post their fw version?
Works great with SE Home. With LauncherPro it gives me a solid black bar though.

[Q] FLASHING CUSTOM ROM FROM nTWEAKED

Hi guys, Xperia sola is my new device... the firm ware was updated by PC companion to 6.0.B.3.1.188... i have unlocked the bootloader via sony and flashboot.... I DID NOT ROOT MY PHONE...
I want to flash the custom rom from thishttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901075..... But i really cant understand what the installation guide says... Im new to android and sola is my first device... i downloaded the flashtool from herehttp://androxyde.github.com/..... and downloaded the rom files from the nTWEAKED thread....
The downloaded file contains A zipped File Naming : nTWEAKED beta V2..... After Unzipping 3 folder appear naming ''CUSTOMIZE"" "META-INF"" and ""SYSTEM"".....
can any one guide me on how to :
1. BACK UP MY CURRENT OFFICIAL ROM?
2. NOOB PROOF STEPS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE ROM FROM THE nTWEAKED thread?
3. IS ROOT REQUIRED FOR THIS ROM? IF ''YES'' THEN PLEASE CAN U ADD PROPER STEPS FOR ROOTING AND THE BEST AVAILABLE AND STABLE KERNEL??
4. WHY ALL THE ROMs aRE BASED ON .184?? Isnt .188 is the latest????
Please help me with this.. im really new to android and xda.. culdnt figure out it by nyself....
Hi. The rooting guide can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849030
Basically you need to have clockworkmod (aka CWM) up and running to be able to install the custom rom you're referring to. Because you've already unlocked your bootloader, you can now begin rooting your device. Follow the steps indicated in the rooting guide.
DONT DO ANYTHING after that, just finish rooting your device. I'm going to try installing this CWM-enabled kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897908, and see if I can boot into CWM to flash the nTWEAKED rom. I'll let you know how it goes.

first of all your on stock (official) rom and didnt root your device ???
so for flashing this rom you need to root your device and have recovery mode too for that check the development section for custom kernels with auto-rooting and CWM too personally i think you should use this one over here :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897908
instructions given in the thread how to flash kernel through fastboot mode, follow them ...
after you sucessfully flash the kernel you will have root and CWM...
now to the flashing part :-
1) copy the downloaded nTWEAKED beta V2.zip file in the root of your internal memory
2) boot in recovery by presssing volume +/- when sony logo appears with a vibration and red led glows
3)choose option update from sd
4)choose the file in your case nTWEAKED beta V2.zip
5)installation will start an aroma installer will pop up follow instructions and your done
PS:- cant get simpler than this
Managed to install nTweak rom using Clie's CWM kernel. Dont forget to give us an update

[Q] [SOLVED] Touchscreen doesn't work

Hello everybody,
My name is Leandro, I live in Argentina, so my english is not good enough I've a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini ST15
Today I was experimenting with mi phone but I make a terrible mistake.
Let me tell us in order what happend:
- I had ParanoidAndroid 2.53 with some bugs tippical of a beta edition
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963556
- I decided to back to ICS. I installed Cyanogen Mod 10 FPX 150
https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/cyanogen-mod-10
However I don't fell confortable without a sock camera
- I download and install (with all the wipes) XPERIA Ultimate HD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1991371
It doesn't come with the "boot.img" so I download KernelPanic 1.25v (I put into my phone via Fastboot)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861905
HOWEVER I didn't notice when I installed the new rom, the device I'd selected wasn't mine (I make that terrible mistake)(I'd selected "LVW" or something like that)
- When I ran the new ROM, the touchscreen didn't work but all the buttons worked fine. :crying:
- I tryed to back to the Official ROM via Flashtool, but the touchscreen continued with this issue
- I reinstalled the XPERIA Ultimate HD choosing correctly but didn't work
I asked to some people, but they don't know about Sony devices.
If someone knows something to do I will apreciate too much.
Thanks in advance!

There you have it! If you know what you've done wrong the do it the right way! Re flash the Rom(and Kernel if you want) properly by choosing the right phone model this time!

obviously, I did that as I write in the begining, that's why I don't understand the problem, because I did all the wipes, put the same rom in the correct way, put another rom, the official rom, but, nothing happends, it's the same.
It's like I "change" an internal driver that the following instalations doesn't modify.
Did you format system partition before trying to reflash other roms?
Anyhow the touchscreen driver is in system/etc folder, the name is touch_nameofdevice.hex, if you push that file from a rom for your device and the hw_config.sh it should fix it

I format my phone via CWM y choose "format system", "format cache"
it's too strange for me, I think it's related with my bad choose that I write in the begining, but it must be a solution

Try this:
1. Download that
2. Open the zip and replace all files in the bin folder with files for your device (!), for example from a custom rom for xperia mini
3. After pushing files for your device in there, pack the content again (the meta-inf folder and the bin folder)
4. Copy this to sd card and flash it with cwm
5. This could work, but I can't promise anything
Hope you will get a working touch screen again!

[Q][XP]CWM error, please help

Hello mates!
I'm user of Honami MoonWalker (LINK). When I'm looking addons for this rom, i saw that awesome Tab'n'Grid (LINK) thing. I installed it with CWM to my phone. And it's little laggy. So I decided to delete it. When i ask the guy who ported that UI for Xperia P, he says i have to flash my rom again. So i did it. When i flash MoonWalker V6 over MoonWalker V6, phone stucks at that colorful smoky thing. (IMAGE) It doesn't freeze, just passing through the screen. I was using MoonWalker V6 and Nemesis Kernel V6.3 (LINK) And something more. When i do the steps (İntstall rom from zip, wipe cache, wipe dalvik) CWM always gives that error : ''E:can't open /tmp/recovery.log''
So what is the solution? I can enter CWM. How can use again my phone with MoonWalker and Nemesis Kernel?
Thank you all guys!

Why not, just follow the instructions, I am sure it works on stock.
@F9Deamon
Why you create a new thread for this ??
I already told what you must do and you still doing it wrong !!
Just follow my steps, its clearly enough to follow those and clean install is recommanded !!
If you want use that tab n grid systemUI then push only the systemUI into system/app woth right permissions:
Read wright
Read
Read
With root explorer and reboot !!
Dont flash the zip of that tab n grid !!
Why you get that error in cwm ??
You forgot to mount system and data under mount and storage in cwm what the steps told also !!
* Why create a new thread for this, to make 10 posts ??
You can post also in my thread for that kind of questions and you pm me already earlier and i explained it you, so i dont really get you l, that you ask it twice now

Maybe first try to flash stock .54 FTF file then custom kernel and try again flash it with 3 wpies.
Cheers
Cwikla
ok i'll try this.
i through about a cwm version probleme too .. don't know, i'll make some test.
thx
Try flash stock ftf file. Then flash kernel from the rom's zip (there should be boot.img) and then flash the rom via cwm
Cheers

ok i did this, flash tft stock, reboot and flash boot.img from the rom, then install the zip.. but still the error, i think i have the correct error message (hard coz whit on white..)
finding ypdate package...
openning update package...
Installing update...
format() expects 5 args got 4
it's strange, in the topic of the rom they don't talk about sush error, so i think the rom is ok..
any idea ?
thx !

Sometimes some files in zip might be corrupted or u r zip can corrupt when u transfer it from PC that is due to faulty USB cable or faulty USB port so just download again and try or try a different USB cable and see
