Awesome!!!

Just flashed this. Immediate response would be that it feels very smooth. Could be a placebo effect though. Basically nothing very different from cm10.1 that you can see. Most of the tweaks are in the background. Shall use this for a day or two. First impression is good.

Agreed, so far nothing weird or out of the ordinary. I hopped on this coming from paranoid android. I kept having signal issues with 4G, none so far here seeing as how I get the 4G lol.

You kinda lost me on this function. Could you please elaborate??

I keep getting a "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" as a FC.
Any suggestions on how to resolve?

OK so apparently Gapps are having issue. I went and got the CM nightly gapps for "gaaps-jb-20130301-signed.zip" found here in it and seems to have run fine AFTER I wiped EVERYTHING (save the SD) all the way to nothing, it seems to be functioning proper.
OH and another thing: this rom does not like restoring information from other roms and I am using TWRP.
good looking rom so far. Thanks

What are you restoring exactly? If its system apps or Gapps or anything from a TW ROM this one isn't going to like it since its AOSP based. I restored all my apps just fine from my Titanium Backup.

I have tried to restore many different combinations from apps to settings and many combinations in between: and they have all failed or caused some sort of problem. Been doing everything I can to help in the testing and feedback for this rom.
I am not a developer, but I am for sure a tester and trouble shooter.
Its all looking good.thanks for the develiopment

To disable the hardware keys and truly have the AOSP experience comment out lines on /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl, like so...
# 158 Back
# 139 Menu
# 172 Home
in /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl
# 172 Home
in /system/usr/keylayout/sec_touckey.kl
# 158 Back
# 139 Menu
and finally in /system/usr/keylayout/sii9234_rcp.kl
# 10 Menu
# 14 Back
I am loving my Note 2 with this build and these mods.

Thank you for the release. I was wondering if development for the 5.0 stopped. I will try it tonight on my US device and report back.
One question, would you mind sharing the method you used to fix the Market when you change the DPI to 200?. I change it to that value as well but only after I installed all the apps I want; trying to install new apps after the DPI changes is a no no.

Ha yea i was thinking that as well. I plan to see if I can port more great roms to this device but im at college at the minute so will have to wait a few weeks. Yea i found here are the two files i changed the market (vending) and Googleservicesframework. Feel free to take a look at them. I cant take credit for this though I found them by anonymous on a web forums
File1

These files will b installed in /system/app and will work with any dpi. They make the market think that the dpi is 240.

No sorry im a porter not a dev.
Thank you for the reply.
I have an observation. In the description you state that US users should apply the ROM and then the proper kernel (Entropy's Daily Driver?).
Shouldn't be the kernel first and then the ROM?
Newcomers might get confused.

Im pretty sure your supposed to flash the kernel after because the rom contains the wrong kernel. On my Galaxy s2 I always flash a particular kernel after because the rom contains a different one.

Ok thanks fir trying, ive just made a new ROM that i Think should work for the USA version. Heres the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?tfsykmm80zqymgo
Try booting straight after flashing the ROM and if that does not work try flashing the kernel after flashing the ROM. Please get back to me on how it works thanks.
Note that the version i am asking you to flash is not final, e.g. it does not have tweaks etc.

Cm7 uses a different initramfs than stock, so you can't use entropy's kernel since this is based off of cm7. You have to stick with the kernel included with this rom.

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 10:
- Copy CM10 ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard

KNOWN ISSUES:
Everything is broken until proven otherwise.
Known broken things include:
Mediascanner derps hard for many people, eating 100% CPU for 30-40 minutes on boot.
Missing many CM10 features
NFC totally untested
Anything broken on I9100 will be a problem on I777 too
Screenshots are from I9100. I'm lazy, and I777 isn't any different
You want to live on the bleeding edge, you're probably gonna get cut

This build should have a couple of improvements compared to the i9100, there were several commits today for JB... might include T-Mobile Theme Engine and device settings - unconfirmed - .

Same here. Any suggestions on what build prop values to change, and what to? Looks like it check several values. Going to try flashing SHOstock 2 then try again.

Same problem! Hopefully it was just a corrupt download

I flashed Siyah v3 and get the same error.
Quick question: why is that line in the script? On which ROMs does it work with? It would be faster for me to flash something else I think.
*EDIT* I opened the zip, navigated to cm-10-20120726-UNOFFICIAL-i777.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script and deleted the first two lines, but I'm still getting the same error message. Which is weird because it doesn't exist anymore.
*Edit 2* Going to reflash CM9 nightly and see what happens.
I used the hellraised i9100 to try JB and I'm currently on it. Can I just flash over with wipe ? Or will I need to flash a different kernel first ?

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.
Like all my threads, I would like to give the following credit and thanks! Unlike some other developers, I know that all of this can't be done by just one person. Anyways, here's the list in no order of course
Team Kang aka AOKP | The Paranoid Android Team | Cyanogen and his Team | DAGr8 | Rohan32 | Preludedrew | Tommytomatoe | JMZtaylor | Tomzefi | All of Team D.I.R.T | qnhoang81 | Agrabren | couga6442 | bajee11 | GOO.IM
If I left out anyone or you think you deserve to given credit/thanks then simply PM me and I will go ahead and pencil you in :good:

3. I know this is very hard for some BUT please be smarter then the ROM.
4. Troubleshoot aka TRY to fix your issue before coming to the thread crying for help!

6. Once you come back from the reboot, go into Settings
7. Go into Paranoid Settings
8. Go into Workspace
9. Click on what mode you would like (anything but stock UI, which is what you're in)
10. Reboot and ENJOY!!

This is similar BUT this is being built from source and not just a port. More features, cherry picks and fixes will follow.
Also this is using AOKP as a base unlike PACMAN which uses CM as a base.
All an all, it doesn't hurt to have another ROM
Hope you enjoy it!

Why did you disable HW overlays? Also, chrome seems to be messed up on several ROMs so I'm not sure what's going on with that browser BUT like I said before.......is the webkit that's messed up and I just need to sit down and fix it like is been done on CM10 and every other CM10 based ROM
Sweet! Does this use the stock kernel or a custom one? Curious since I'm S-ON.
I didn't see 3D listed as a bug, that means it's fixed? Hahaha.:silly:
Nice!
Very quick. There aren't many ROM's that download as less than 125MB.
Google Now FC's on "more details" but that's fixable by installing Maps.

Flashed 4.3 today
Flash did not go well - random reboots and WiFi would not stay connected. Battery drained very fast. I did not see a pattern and as a dumb noobi did not get a logcat of the events. System was behaving like earlier versions of CM 10.2. However, great graphics for boot animation. Most current version of 10.2 (9/5/13) is pretty stable and bug free. I went back to CM 10.2 and will try this a little later.
well i tried your other 4.3 rom and it was great, but it didnt have aosp toggles which i was used to, and dont plan on changing soon, and voila this rom has it
does this rom also have halo and the lockscreen gesture i previously mentioned on other thread? if yes, then its perfect
EDIT: are you freaking kidding me, it has both already although old version of halo :victory: and its super smooth plus love the animations... might stay on this as a daily driver if proven stable, hope you keep building, i used to use liquidsmooth till support was dropped
EDIT 2: a few bugs from a short while of testing, bootanimation isnt resized correctly (no worries) and can't install an app with halo turned on (this old problem wasfixed on other roms)
EDIT 3: When i turn on settings buttons always show on status bar (so there is settings button and quick settings plus halo , it doesn't fit the screen like it does on other roms

Its a CM bug I guess.... usually had this issue in CM Roms..
What happens is a Message Keeps on popping on the screen with gibberish unreadable text.
It is irritating as hell ... even changing the settings doesnt help..
best way to avoid this is to delete the CellBroadcastReceiver app using titanium backup or root explorer..
Hey I just installed your ROM and it works great..! Just one thing... After a while rotation doesn't work and this happens with all aosp roms. Any ideas..?
