Hey guys,
I have lately installed the new UltimaRom 10.1 rom and started witnessing major delays in my notifications (mail, whatsapp, facebook, facebook messenger), and when i say major i am talking about 1.5-2 hours delay, the delays are on 3G.
If i know that i should receive something i open the program and receive it instantly.
My old rom was a a based 4.1.1 old Wanam rom, in which i didn't have any problems with the notifications.
I've tried to search all over XDA and google for the solution, the only thing partly useful was this thread:

I've downloaded and installed this app, seemed to fix the delay, but after i did a restart it started happening again :/ (and yeah i tried to hit the interval again in this app).
Also tried to reinstall the apps, didn't help.
Specificaitons:
Galaxy S3 i9300
UltimaRom v10.1 based 4.1.2 XXEMR2
Boeffla kernel
Any idea guys? this is driving me insane! I can live with a 5 mins delay, but not with 1.5 hours

Yesterday I have flashed OMEGA v27.1 ROM on my SGS 3. Then I restored my apps etc. Since then I don't get my facebook notifications however I get every others like gmail, twitter etc. What could be the problem? I reflashed the ROM and flashed different kernels but still doesn't work (and before you ask, the notifications are allowed in facebook app as in the system settings aswell). I don't wanna get other ROM cause this fits me the best. Any solution?
hey guys i have a SG3 installed two days ago the OMEGA rom v32.1 and now i don't have facebook notification anymore. other services that have push notification are working like instagram and whatsapp, but Facebook isn't.
tried uninstall/reinstall, clear data/cache but not worked.
On the app the notification is set to never (as was told to notify as soon as you get something)
And before the installation of the omega rom was working.
suggestions?

i got nearly same problem as you. Instead of just facebook, i can't get any notifications after XXELK4 leak. I think it is because of it. I tried every possible thing but the problem goes on.

probably... i tried the blackberry method, but no success either. and i cant post on OMEGA thread because i dont have enough posts...
i got my notifications back, i'm not sure what process worked, if was the blackberry or if clear data/cache or even installed the friendcaster, anyway after many attempts it's working again...

I've search the whole forum and couldn't find a problem exactly like mine.
First of all, my hardware is a Galaxy S3 international and my rom is ZTO 4.1.1 (but I noticed the same happened with the INU and UK one).
I takes 10+ minutes to get notifications from Whatsapp and Facebook message. However, if I open them when I know there's a new message, they arrive after a few seconds.
It happens both on Wi-Fi and 3G.
What I've tried so far:
- Followed the F.A.Q. about delayed notifications on Whatsapp's official website - No change;
- Opened port 52xx on my modem, the one Whatsapp use - No change;
- Tried to delete it, after erasing all the data, and reinstalling - No change;
- Sent an email to Whatsapp support - No answer haha;
- Removed Kaspersky from my Android - No change;
Since I can't post images, as I'm a new user, if you need to know all my apps and stuff I froze, you can PM me!

Hi TS, did u manage to resolved your problem? I have been encountering your problems recently and it's driving me nuts!
Try excluding it from the kill list (if u are having any task managers), btw I neva had any issues with WhatsApp notification. Just fb messenger.

I have the same issue on a HOX running ARHD 18. No notifications of facebook foursquare whattsapp, nothing.
In my case, it was extreme bad luck. Both my 3G provider and my modem had Whatsapp's port blocked.
All I had to do was enabling DMZ for my Android device on my modem.

So lately im having an extremely annoying lag when i pull down the notification drawer, i also noticed some lags when going to recents.
im using a nexus 6 with currently bliss rom 6.4 updated to latest version with the kernel provied with rom, using open gapps - pico.
I had those same lags using Pure Nexus rom and stock rom.
The interesting thing is that i dont have lags when the rom is freshly flashed, it is only recently that i noticed that after adding my 3 google accounts that things started to mess up.
i first added 1 account and everything is working great, but when i had 2 more g accounts and i cancel all the syncing besides gmail. I immediately noticed my phone was working extremely slow in some cases, even on loading apps. i tried to removing the 2 other accounts but no luck.
finally another big issue that i noticed is that when battery goes bellow 15% and i get the notification for saving battery, phone gets really slow and it is not fixed until i run sd maid cleaner pro.
iv'e had the phone for 1 year and a half, i had 3 gmail accounts synced all the time with no lag issue, using same roms.
but it bugs me that it works like a new one when rom is freshly flashed before syncing and the gmail accounts .
i appreciate any advice or experience if anyone here had the same issue and got a solution.

I recommend posting this in the bliss rom thread so that the developer can fix the issue with his ROM.

I have used my LeECo max 2 for about a month. In the beginning, before I updated to S17 from S14, I didn't have any problems with notifications. After the upgrade I have a serious problem with live notifications. Apps like WhatsApp, Gmail, Messenger, Skype, and more, might show messages immediately, with a short or long delay (min and sometimes hours), and not even show anything until I reopen the app. I made sure that the wanted apps have permission to run when the phone boots up and add them to the app protection list in the battery menu. I found out that S19 was just released a few days ago (leaked) and I had to try it to see if it solved the problem, which it didn't. I even tried to install 'heartbeat fixer' and 'notification fixer', which didn't really helped.
I really enjoy this phone, but I can't take it anymore. I can't get late email and messages, and I don't want to reopen the apps to make sure to not miss any important messages.
Did anyone had that problem and was able to solve it?
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

same happened to me and i also spent way to much time trying to fix it, so I changed to cm13 rom
Do you know if I can install the latest twrp after upgrading to s19?
