Recovery file transfer - HTC EVO 3D

Is there any way of transferring files wirelessly between phones while booted to recovery? Didn't see anything like some whiz bang aroma miracle app. I'm using my backup phone while having to completely wipe my 3VO. Have a cache error when trying to wipe, so starting over.

Thanks, was a shot in the dark... If you mentioned some miracle, I'd have tried it on my lunch break. Home now so back to the normal routine.

UnNamed to CM7 (just want to make sure I'm good to go)

I'm just getting the hang of flashing ROMs and want to try CM7.
I'm on UnNamed now so I'm assuming all I have to do is:
1. go into CWM and complete a backup (done today)
2. go into CWM and do a wipe/factory reset
3. flash the CM7 and google apps from CWM
4. restore from the backup to get all my apps/settings back
Thanks for the support.
Of you do APPS AND DATA only without touching thru system data then yes.

Not sure what you mean by "apps and data" only. I just clicked backup in CWM and figured this back up everything. Are the steps I listed above incorrect?
When you select 'backup' in CWM it creates an entire copy of your system- your ROM, kernel,
Modem, and your Apps and settings. You got the right idea of how to go from ROM to ROM but if you hit restore in recovery you'll just end up flashing back to CM7. nyamoV2 was referring to titanium backup which is used for backing up Apps and settings. I don't use it but from what I gather you never want to restore system data with it. But can be used to back up Apps. Although upon signing into Google market your Apps start downloading again anyway. Its good to make backups in recovery in case something goes wrong flashing a new ROM or theme or whatever.
Accidentally hit 'thanks' trying to modify my post LOL oops

How do I backup all apps and setting in TB? Only see how to do them one at a time
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
You gotta get the pro version.. It lets you run a batch of ALL your apps instead of doing it 1 by 1

Play around with the settings. CM SETTINGS> Notification power widget> widget buttons.
..I think . I'm actually running UnNamed right now so I forget exactly where the setting is.

God I keep hitting the wrong button
Anyway, that's odd. I'm usually running CM7 as my daily driver and never had any data speed issues. Some users have changed their APN's and that seems to help. I did at one point but reverted back. Oh well

I always do a backup with nandroid if I'm looking to save the rom I'm currently running. Then after that I do a wipe/factory reset then also a format /system. Then install the new rom. Always has worked perfectly.
CM7
is this rom better then unnamed of MiUI?

Need help! Screen not working

I need a way to pull all data from my phone. the screen turns on but is completely unresponsive in the middle of the screen so I can't type half the letters. Anyway to pull data from recovery?
Have you tried creating a backup from cwm?
Its not rooted, completely stock
Guessing you tried auto rotate? When mine went bad, I turned it on, and rotated every direction as needed. Worked for me. Kind of a pain, but allowed me to get all of my info......
Ya I tried, doesn't rotate
That's terrible. Sorry to hear.
The only other way would be a lapdock. I did that as well.

What data that you want to pull out? Do u familiar with LINUX platform?

Mainly pictures And a few contacts. Pictures weren't saving on SD card unfortunately. No I'm not familiar with Linux
Try install airdroid and see whether u can backup from there.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
If XP try android commander
Load it up and you will see all partitions for your phone. Tick sdcard or mnt/emmc and pull to pc
But may not work with you being stock and unrooted

on my mums atrix the touch screen was unreponsive like mentioned but this went away after a while.... it could be a software issue
Do a restore from proper .SBF with rsdlite, this will reset back to factory ROM. If your problem was software, this will fix.
Consider unlock and use CMW...

Let my battery run dead and its charged, but stuck in a boot loop

I really don't wanna loose my angry birds space save, any other way out of this other than wiping? This is what happened to me on gingerbread too, apparently the flyer just does not like having its battery drained the whole way.

Bootloop on GB is Lee's ROM problem as i did experianced it onlly on his rom - FlyHigh Rom does not have that problem and been using it now for long time - very satisfied i must admit.
It was mention b4 that do not discharge Flyer completlly. As solution i guess u already did only wipe cach and dalvik and battery stats - leaving out data?
And ofc no TBackup with data on that app?
Well I didn't intentionally let the battery run dead, I was low on charge like below 20% and my son wouldn't stop crying so I was playing music to try and calm him down, and oops! It died. Yeah was on senseless, and I cleared all cache and reinstalled the Rom without whipping and no dice. I can't help but think there has to be something cached some where that is keeping it from booting. Maybe I should logcat it. How do I do that exactly?
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda app-developers app
I ran tb a couple weeks ago, whenever it was that ioiwilioi released senseless 4.1. But I played a ton of angry birds space over this weekend (sigh)
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda app-developers app
So anyone got some kind of insite? Dalvik cache is boot cache right? You'd think that would do it but it's not. I wonder if I wipe the battery stats if it might help, system might still think that battery is dead.
What its doing exactly is starting up, going to the senseless boot screen, then rebooting, and after the white screen it just goes black and stalls. It's still turned on but its black. I have to shut it off through hboot right now.
Just don't get why running the battery dead would do this, my vivid has terrible battery life and I run it dead all the time. Something has to be cached that won't let it boot. Hmmm.... Maybe an hboot flash?

Make a nandroid backup then just reinstall the rom and restore data through advanced restore? Will that not work?
To run logcat - Download the Android SDK if you haven't already and open the DDMS.bat executable from /Android-SDK/Tools then plug in your tablet and boot it, then when you see your device in the top left hand box click it then Device > Run logcat
If restoring the data partition doesn't work though you can always extract the app data from the data.img in the nandroid folder
maybe try
fastboot erase cache

I had the same problem last night only my phone haha.
Well not exactly the same, but I corrupted the Framework-res.apk so it wouldn't boot, I forgot to make a backup so my only choice was to go back to the stock rom, which conveniently wouldn't flash because my phone was updated and Huawei haven't released the full package for the update! Aah. Ended up having to manually extract my sms and contacts from the data partition then downgrade the phone, reinstall the software then update it again. Never again in my life. haha.
Woo hoo it worked! Thank god, I didn't feel like setting my flyer all up again. Thanks for the suggestion!

[Q] no screen but backlight

HI,
Having searched the threads i seem to arrive at no help!!! My neo (MT15 early model) was recently updated using the software from the official site but my phone will only show the screen briefly then go blank BUT the backlight remains on. i can still receive messages and calls but cant see them unless i take the battery off then turn on again. even then it takes 3 or 4 attempts.
Any help or direction would be appreciated
Thanks
If your phone is rooted, try using chainfire 3D, but before that make a NANDROID backup.
Also this app does not work on jelly bean (it will brick your phone) so if you're using JB, don't use the app.

how can i factory reset my phone? i've tried linking it to the pc but cant find anywhere that does it!!!
Marf pointed out something good,
Right now forget about what I said and go to "settings > privacy" and hit "factory reset". But before that make a backup of your contacts with "NQ Mobile Security" cause they will be removed.
Hope it works, cause if not you gonna have to become expert

Won't flash on nexus 4?

Hey guys so I really like Ubuntu touch. It looks nice and all that. But I can't seem to get it to flash.
I've tried multiple ways like using the 2 zips and flashing via clockwork mod. I flashed in both orders the phablet armhf zip then the device zip and vice versa but no good.
I've also tried deploying the images via command prompt via windows 7 as I don't have an ubuntu computer (or one capable of using it at all) and same thing, no results. It just hits the Google screen and then just turns off.
Am I doing something wrong? If you need more details let me know.

The screen stays blank for a while before it boots. It may look off, but it may not be. Have you tried a complete wipe (system, data, cache, & Dalvik)? Also, I highly recommend switching over to the latest TWRP recovery. Try it, it will probably work better for you in this instance and you can always go back to CWM with ROM Manager. www.teamw.in
