[Q] Adding bluetooth device while broken screen - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am on the forum for a while but this is my first post.
So my situation is the following.
My S3 display broke and the touchscreen with it. I want to know would it be possible to add a bluetooth keyboard with integrated mouse (a Logitech Mediaboard pro) by editing the settings files on the pc and than transferring it to the smartphone?
The phone is rooted, without adb and with usb deubugging disabled but somehow i manage to get Odin detect the phone.
So I thought of editing a recovery.img from the SGS3 Toolkit recovry folder so that when i flash the phone it is already paired with the keyboard.
But I have no knowledge how to do this and a bit of help would be more than apreciated as well as any other method to achieve the above mentioned.
I thought connecting a keyboard and than to tv so i can use it untill i get a new display.
My smartphone model is:
Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 with PDA:LIB, PHONE:LIB, CSC:LI1 (read from kies)

no. buy an OTG adapter and connect a usb mouse. won't be able to hook up video though

[Q] [Problem] OTG Stopped Working [Hyundai T10]

Hello,
I've used my tablet with flash drives etc. with the OTG cable. Before few days the OTG stopped working.
I though it's from ES File Manager because I use this app very often and I have clicked somewhere and disabled the OTG function.
So, I made decision to pre-install my android firmware and clear everything. > I did this.
And then I put the OTG cable with the flash drive connected and then a USB mouse - the flash drive does not connect, the optic ot the mouse only lights up and then it goes off and the mouse does not work too. I tried the OTG cable on my phone (SGS 2) and it's working perfectly.
Can you guys help me to solve this problem?

Test on another PC, and if that doesn't work - replace USB board - look for Keithross39's guide in General (search for 'replacing USB charger board'), has all the info you need to get this done yourself quickly/easily/cheaply (~US$10).

thanks for the reply sir... that's the only thing left out for me to do... to try my device to another desktop or loptop.. since i only have one desktop at home....
sir how can i tell whether my phone is a genuine one? can fake samsung devices be recognize by kies? on usb or wifi kies?
Verify that your phone is closed all applications (hold "home" key -
management activities - close applications) and move to the main screen.
Open the Samsung Kies program first and then connect the usb cable.
If the fault persists, uninstall the driver (Samsung Mobile Usb) from "Device Manager" on PC
and restart your computer.
Once you restart your PC, and open the Samsung Kies, plug the phone in order to re-install the
driver.
If still no go even restart the phone and try again
Try also another usb port and finally try another pc / laptop

Compare your phone to pics (Google search) of genuine devices, also Google & you'll find pics of fakes that you can also compare against (we've seen a few fakes on here over the past couple of yrs but not many, search for threads about this). Get an app like Android Hardware Info/similar (there are a number of similar apps on GP) which will give you the hardware details (CPU/GPU/etc) of your device & compare that to I9100 specs.
What makes you think it's fake ?
Cpu-z is a good app (free on google play) for see Android's details about hardware/software.
I've never heard of fake s2. It sounds so strange
Quiet, that you are neither the first nor the last to have problems with USB connectivity to PC. They are quite common problems.

coz there's a a lot of fake samsung products here in the Philippines... and by now it's really hard to identify which is original or fake.
those people who created those clone phones is getting better day by day. way cheaper but looks exactly the same.. i think they made
the hardware powered too, i've seen an s5 a clone one and it's rated by antutu with 30145 or something )
Don't forget to test different USB ports in your laptop or PC. Last resort could also be (if you're under windows, obviously) deleting the USB root controllers within the Control Panel > System > Device Admin and then reboot. In my experience, I don't need to reinstall Samsung's drivers and usualy recover the USB cable connection.

Galaxy S7 broken screen file transfer help

I need help with trying to transfer files to my computer with a Galaxy S7 that has no display or touchscreen activity. No USB sharing isnt enabled. (I know I know) Any help would be greatly appreciated. everything backed up to my google drive but my documents. Again please help!
I assume USB debugging is disabled too?
You might be able to plug in a mouse over the USB port so you can create some input. Not sure if the same would work for a display though. If you can manage to unlock with your mouse somehow you also should be able to access your data over USB as the phone isn't locked anymore. If you really can't manage to unlock the device without a screen, maybe you can remove the lock through find my device? Not sure though.
So if you manage to unlock the phone without a screen you should be fine

Samsung S6 no touch screen - can't use OTG or adb shell to access

Hi,
Seemingly some Samsung S6s (mine is T-Mobile) do not permit OTG, I have tested the OTG cable and mouse with another Android device.
I have also tried using adb to pull data from my phone, but the only option there seems to be adb sideload as per this thread
Looking for ways to get into my phone to enable USB debugging, or just to use a mouse or keyboard so I can check my texts and backup my photos etc before trying to fix the screen
Any ideas on other method of getting into my phone?
Three Ways for you
1-Get another model of the same Mobile.Flash the Cwm Recovery on it.Backup the Firmware and Restore on Broken Device. Now Make a Simple Script to move all you files and Voila.
2-Get the screen Fixed.I am pretty Sure they Won't smash your data
3-**** it.Buy another phone.

Can't connect S21 Ultra with cable to pc?

OK, I've been using Android phones for years and never had this problem!
When try to connect the phone to the pc I get the connection sound but nothing shows up in windows file manager? I've tried 3 cables (usb c to c and a to c).
I've clicked Transfer files on the s21, nothing.
But if I click transfer images I do get the phone appearing in file manager and I can access just the DMIC folder. So the cables working.
Is there some option deep in the phone that needs to be switched on to allow file transfer????
Thanks. . .
To answer my own question...
Samsung Smart Switch needs to be installed on the PC to provide the right drivers! Never had that before with any Android phone!!
