You can not because your CID is 170.
You read this to do : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158836.;)
After do this :
1. Your new hboot is : 1.63.2211 ( no longer 1.63.0000) and hboot name : JuopunutBear ( with this hboot you no need unlock bootloader HTCdev).
2. S-Off (no longer S-on) --> now you can change your CID become super CID : 11111111.
3. Now you can Root and up any rom you want.:good:

I finally have it unlocked (s-off) but i can't for the life of me figure out how to root it now >.> I used juopunutbear trick after doing temp root to get it perm unlocked.
One issue I have now is when i boot into the bootloader and I click recovery my phone instantly restarts until it goes to the regular lock screen...
[edit]
can't even do a factory reset.

Flash a custom recovery. You can download the TWRP recovery.img here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/87
Then go get superSU here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 and put it on your sd card and flash it through recovery! Then you should have root.
Edit: If you don't have a rom installed you will need to flash a rom instead of superSU... I won't suggest one for you as I am on the CDMA version and I don't know what's compatible with your setup.
For recovery though, try reflashing through fastboot usb mode: fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
or try booting the recovery with: fastboot boot recoveryname.img

hboot problem help pls : (

Hey guys.
i m a new android user.
my hboot ver. is 1.49.0018
i did yesterday ;
1) unlocked from htcdev. (hboot-1.49.0018)
2) recovered with "cwm-4.0.1.4-shooteru.img"
3) rooted with "su-2.3.6.1-efgh-signed.zip"
after phone booted i installed rom manager premium to install roms easily but i see there are a few options. then i decided flash roms from recovery.
i went to recovery screen (it was cwm 5.0.2.0)
i tried to flash
[ROM]-║▌=$Prime XL 3D$=║▌-[SVN-DAILYUPDATES][REZOUND BEATS!][2.3.5][Sense 3.5]
[ROM] 28 NOV | Shooter Beats v1.7 (Sense 3.5)
but they hanged on first boot screen :s
then i tried to flash stock rom by goldcard method but i need a working os.
i tried leedroid rom and it worked!!
i made my goldcard (i saw succesfull message) AFTER THAT i didnt flash stock rom immediately, i tried prime xl and shooter beats again. (to see sense 3.5) but they did not work : (
then i flashed stock rom and took CID incorrect!
after my inquiries i see my hboot ver. still 1.49.0018 i couldn't make a exact root : (
i opend cmd and gave command "fastboot oem lock" then started hboot to flash PG86IMG.zip. (to downgrade 1.49.0007) flashed flashed flashed a lot of time but i m taking cid incorrect!
and now i cant open recovery every time i see boot screen . RELOCKED and can't do anything.
I need help : (
p.s:srry for english.
also i tried from cmd these commands;
fastboot oem unlock - command error.
adb reboot bootloader - device not found.

Try to Relock my device, but unlocks on reboot

Mine is a HTC EVO 3D rooted gsm device currently running on 3.28.720.1 firmware. I want to flash the cool ICS v14b for which I need to downgrade the firmware to 3.28.707.1. I successfully relocked the device by using the "fastboot oem lock" command. It even shows "RELOCKED".
But when I reboot into the bootloader after placing the pg86img.zip in the root folder , the status turns back to "UNLOCKED". How do I relock the device so that I can flash the pg86img.zip and then unlock the device followed by flashing the rom using 4xt recovery.
I unlocked the bootloader using htcdev method and mine is a s-on device.
Any help would be appreciated!
You can't downgrade if you are S-ON..
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.

How do I make my phone ready for custom rom that needs s-off and hboot 1.49.xxxx

Hi
My friend gave me his old HTC Evo 3D gsm. And I want to install a custom rom on it (CM 10.2 hopefully).
But it requires HBOOT: 1.49.xxxx and S-OFF
My phones is atm running stock ICS and has S-Off, (re)locked and Hboot 1.53.0007.
How can I get HBOOT: 1.49.xxxx and S-OFF?
ps: I know how to unlock bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906172
#1, Download zip (IN POST 2)
#1, Simply place the pg86img.zip on root of sd,
#3, Boot into bootloader and run the update
#4, Follow onscreen instructions
it will flash the bootloader, reboot, then flash splash img , then reboot
and your now in hboot 1.49.0007

After doing the above, make sure you have a custom recovery installed (4EXT preferably) and make a nandroid backup. then wipe data and caches and flash any rom you want
It requires root first. How do I get that?

How did you gain s-off while still on hboot 1.53.0007???
I was locked, s-on and on hboot 1.53.0007 (stock rom)
- 1st unlock with htc-dev method
- 2nd install 4ext touch recovery (recommended for almost all custom roms)
- 3rd s-off with this method, then you have hboot 1.53.7777 s-off
- 4th flash hboot 1.49.0007 in bootloader
For step 4 put the zip file to the root of sdcard, boot into bootloader and wait until bootloader recognizes the zip and asks you for update.
Afterwards if you reboot once more into bootloader you'll see ***locked***, but thats only a fake lock!
For root simply flash a file called something like "Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip" (google it) in recovery, but that's not necessary if you plan to flash a custom rom.
I think you are getting confused by this step: #1, Simply place the pg86img.zip on root of sd
you do not require root for this, it means you have to place the zip file on your sdcards root. not in any folder

[Q] Rumrunner 0.5.0 Universal No ADB Devices

Hi, I have messed up my 601, however, bootloader, recovery and fastboot are still intact
I am now trying to get RUU to work, however, I have to change CID and MID first via ENG Hboot.
In order to do that, I need to S-OFF my HTC Desire 601.
Is there a way I can run Rumrunner from Recovery or Fastboot?
When I type "adb devices" in CMD elevated Admin Rights, it shows Serial number and recovery. However, I understand I need to be fully booted with USB Debugging to S-OFF my device. Any advice please? My OS is blank as I flashed STOCK KITKAT https://drive.google.com/folderview...&usp=sharing&tid=0B6WBFlAKqe30ZG1wOGk2T0xwTkE
and ended up with an unbootable device. How silly of me. TIA
Btw, Im bootloader unlocked, Hboot version 2.20, Trying to reflash Telus JB RUU
Steps for Rumrunner:
Savory said:
For S-OFF on ZARA_UL, Android 4.4.2, HBOOT 2.22
1/ Download file on post : boot_initd.img
2/ Reboot in bootloader and flash on fastboot : fastboot flash boot boot_initd.img (this is Kernel unsecure)
3/ Reboot the phone
4/ Download rumrunner 0.5.0 (universal), launch soju.exe in administrator
5/ Wait for 10min...
Your phone is now S-OFF.
Need test on ZARA_CL

Can't load RUU

Hey guys,
Found nothing helpful for me with search.
i've tried to install Paranoid Android on my Phone, but after install, only the CWM was loading.
So i've tried to install the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed.exe
There i get an error, because its the wrong Version. But i have installed this Version already at November 2013.
But so i've tried the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_Vodafone_UK_1.14.161.13_Radio_3.1204.167.31_release_289473_signed, too.
~same error.
Tried it unlocked and relocked. Is it because i have S-ON? But I don't know how to get it S-OFF.
How can I install the RUU? I'm not a profi. So please subscribe so, that I can understand

your HBOOT version number is to high. Without S-OFF you can't downgrade bootloader version number and so RUU fails when trying to apply an older version. And there's no way to achieve S-OFF on this device.
As for your try to flash a custom rom: do you have the latest CWM recovery from official site? because you need it for 4.4 roms. Did you flash the boot.img in fastboot before flashing the rom in recovery?

My CWM is v6.0.2.7. How can I update it? Or how can I put the install on my Phone from CWM? Don't know how to mount the Flash from it.
Yes, the boot.img, i have installed with fastboot
Edit:
Have downloaded CWM 6.0.4.8 for enrc2b. Can I install it with
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-enrc2b.img ?

if you flashed the boot.img, you should be able to install PA if the rom.zip is still on your phone just get latest CWM 6.0.4.8 from official cwm site (you'll probably find it under codename enrc2b). don't forget to wipe/format /system, /cache and /data partition before flashing (dont wipe /data/media folder, because this is your internal "sdcard")
have read wrong. will answer new in a few minutes ;D
I will test it with the new CWM

I've made:

6. reboot with the error

try "adb sideload rom.zip", you have to start sideload mode in recovery first i think.
edit:
reading your error, type "adb devices" first and see what devices are showing up

I thank you so much!
I've installed the adb universal driver (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50892780&postcount=118). Than the device was shown as "sideload" and not twice.
Than i've installes the rom with "adb sideload rom.zip" and the gapps with "... gapps.zip".
After the "fastboot flash boot boot.img", my phone started.
Now I hope, that I've not the bug, that the GPS dosn't work, because I need it!

we need some more information:
- what's your phones "codename" in bootloader (enrc2b or evitareul)?
- what is your CID? in case you don't know how to get it, try this: WinDroid Universal HTC Toolkit
- which RUU did you try to use?

As you may guess from RUU name now: you've got the wrong RUU file for your phone. EVITARE_UL is the codename for AT&T/Telus X+ (the RUU you used is for the One X btw). Take a look in the One X+ General forum, i think there was a thread with a collection of RUUs.
Since i don't know what carrier you have or where you got this phone, i can't tell you what RUU file you need exactly. I only have International version of X+ (enrc2b). Maybe you should do a bit more research, or maybe someone else can answer this.
