[Q] Display problem... stripes on the screen? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I want to ask you about a problem I have with my phone. I recently saw a stripes on the screen with kind of different color/brightness. They are not very visible but really annoying! They appear everywhere. They don't move when I rotate the phone.
I have attached a picture which I took with a camera but it's not very visible so I made fake image with the Photoshop so it can be clearer what the problem is like.
Thanks in advance

try a different kernel, flash a stock ROM, then take it to Samsung

i have the same i think its screen burn

So do you think I have to change the digitizer or lcd?

the service center will decide

[Q] Display colors not realistic

Hi guys -
I just upgraded from the Cappy to the Galaxy S2 on AT&T. The phone looks and feels great, but I noticed the colors on the screen are not realistic in some apps. The wallpaper on the homescreen & lock screen looks amazing, but the pictures I take with the camera, and the colors in some of the game apps (i.e. Hanging with Friends) look very different. The colors are over-saturated and dark. I've never had this issue on the Cappy, and was wondering if anyone else had similar problems? I searched online and found the international version has a display mode option setting, which is non-existent on the i777. I tried using the Screen Adjuster app, but it didn't help an awful lot.
Took a screen capture with the phone, but the colors look normal there. Would need to borrow another phone or camera to take a picture...and then will post pics as a side by side comparison on what the screen captures.
Anyone else have this problem and/or know how to fix it?

I assume you are running a stock ROM - if so, I believe Samsung defaults the screen mode to "dynamic" and got rid of the option to select other modes (normal and movie) in their ROMs. Most (possibly all) of the custom ROMs on this forum add that selection option back. menu>display>screen mode.

Thanks for the quick response! Yea, I'm still on stock ROM...was thinking of rooting and flashing to a custom one soon. Will report back results of the display after. Thanks again!

Screen problem - colors too saturated and bright

Here's my problem with my Galaxy S3 I9300.
The colours are too saturated and too bright (washed out). Display is also pixelated that is better seen on dark background. I tried to change the color scheme, the brightness settings and even hard reset the phone (through Settings > Back up and reset > Factory data reset), but nothing has worked so far. The screen is still weird.
I have attached pictures of how my screen looks vs the screenshot of how it should really look and also attached the Black box image test found here.
Black level - Lagom LCD test
and how it looks on my S3 and what happens when i pinch to zoom out
The day i got this set, i tried to tweak some contrast settings with help of some different apps but nothing made it better so i let the phone rest for a bit and later when i picked up the phone, the colours were perfect and all fixed. The display was flawless for a couple of days until today the issue came back out of the blue when i unlocked the screen in the afternoon. i tried restart, taking out battery. I even opened the set and tried cleaning the LCD contact on the motherboard but nothing worked.
So, my question is: does this screen problem sound like a hardware problem or can it be solved by software? If it can be done through software, what can I do?
Thanks in advance!
If a factory reset doesn't change the problem then I bet it is a hardware problem...

NX507J Display malfunction

Any one an idea why my display fade out to negative and white, after i turn on my screen?
I did a reset etc..
Maybe some other toughts? I also did a new flash on my device.

Download Mode Image appearing on S6 Edge Screen

There is an image similar to download mode Icon on my s6 edge screen. The image is very light and is visible in white background. It doesn't appear on any photos which I take, but it stays on screen. Did anyone have similar problem and can help me to get rid off it.
Thank you

From what I can see it looks like a pixels burn down, that would be my best guess, but it is a bit early for that the phone is not that old...
Hello
I don't see anything on the picture, but anyways. If you see that everytime on your screen, I'm sorry to tell that to you, but you've got a burned screen. That means the phone kept too long a picture active, and pixels burnt with this so you can see that.
The only way to clear that is to replace the SUPERAMOLED screen.

Lock screen image is coming blurred on my realme 3 pro

Hi All,
Not sure if any of you are facing this issue, but my lock screen image is showing up blurred. I had a normal looking lock screen at the start but after switching off the face recognition, it has started coming up as blurred. However, the wallpaper inside is crystal clear. Do any of you good people have a solution to offer for this predicament?
Let me know if you require any further details
Looking forward to a solution soon...
