General ODEX Script
By Various Devs
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seeing other devs recently ODEX-ing their roms in order to decrease boot and app load time I fought of those roms that may not be ODEX.
Therefore I want to share this zip that will ODEX any GB rom out here.
This is the general script those ODEX-ed roms we have use.

Sorry I miswrote lol.
Increasing The Decreasement of Loading Times which is what I meant. (Yeah it kinda does not make sense.)

i'm on NXT 1.3 (I guess it's based on 58 or 64 GB... donno anymore.. i'm stable for almost 6 months now).. will it work on this?

Flash It Like A Rom/Zip
It works on all slots (Multiboot) if using Turbo Kernel
Boot Time Change is noticeable.

why is this script deleting all files in /data/dalvik-cach/ ? wouldn't making sense to just delete dex files of the newly odexed system apps or framework ?

A mixture of ODEXed and Deodexed files can cause problems.
Some apps have different dalvik when ODEX.
It is a stability measure.

There are a lot of ODEX methods and scripts out there.
I just uploaded the CWM Method used in the ODEX Roms we currently have.
This could work on JB/ICS but not guaranteed (Phone/Contacts apks may FC)

It's usually because of your android.policy.jar.
Either that or you have jar's that contain no 'meta-data'.
Open up all your Jar's in /System/Framework and see what's missing.

half of my system apps don't have their odex files even after fllashing the zip multiple times ! i don't know what's keeping them from odexing
also if i transfer any new app to system/app , its odex file can't be generated ...

It is a small script that does not ODEX everything but only small amount of files.
Full ODEXing is reccomended through ADB and not CWM.
Some things can't be ODEXed in CWM
Also this only ODEXes apps used by system, your own apps will not be ODEXed even if you move to system and re-run script

I have no idea, I just decided to share the script other devs use for those who are unaware/want to ODEX their roms, I can't tell you exactly.
Cache and Dalvik clean are recommended though.

[REQUEST] Supercharged services.jar and services.odex

Can someone attach SUPERCHARGED services.jar services.odex for the ICS .562 based ROMS, because I've restored my nandroid backup over 91249124912412 times and I'm really unable to complete the 'operation' . Also the ICS Beta supercharged files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533044) doesn't work for me ...
I actually did it the last time If someone need them here they are ;]
Wow you nailed it Nice work mate, But honestly, in ICS, the home ADJ is a bit better than AOSP ICS, it's set at 4 (Supercharger will tell it's ADJ6 but bOOM stick said it's 4) so Sony does improve it I was having a doubt to change the ADJ in the new ICS build because i was having some minor problem with Supercharged services.jar Messaging and Browser kept closing by itself. So i think i'll do research for that first
In a meanwhile, please allow me to relink to his thread

so just copy the files in the zip and replace them with the ones stored in system/framework? And then instal V6 Supercharger version 9 RC 8.2. ?
This should work with rooted, unlocked BL, stock .562 ICS and stock kernel?
I hope it is
plz, can someone confirm this?
With adb:
adb remount
adb push services.jar /system/framework/
adb push services.odex /system/framework/
adb reboot
or you just replace them with root explorer
Thnx for the answer! ill give it a try
These files broke my RAY!!!
After install these files with root explorer in /system/framework, my phone freeze.
After reboot, it popup again and again for com.android.phone (or something look like that) has stop and i can't do anything else.
At last i had to flash rom to recover my phone.

You framework folder needs to be entirely deodexed or odexed. It can't have some files odexed and other not, like Apps folder. the phone won't boot. Krabappel words And if that is from the SSPeed ROM, the system is really unstable, so the phone won't stay up too much... I could try, but I would need to have the entire framework folder so i could test on my phone.
Hope his files are from the 1.58 fw. Don't know if there is any incompatibility with an older ICS fw.

Oh god... I found both tutorials once (Re-odex and add reboot to power menu) but now I can't find any of them
Could you share your entire Framework folder, I want to see if it could work on my 1.58 fw... I'm not sure, but, still. Maybe with it fully deodexed I can try, and it will make it easier. I also could do the 30 volume step mod
I think Sony should create a "Expert Mode" on their JB firmware, where experienced users could activate some nice features, such as enable Reboot in power menu.

So I was tinkering around on the KA12 SSpeed rom and created the reboot button for the power menu. So I'm not entirely sure if it will work on the stock rom since it's not deodexed.
But attached is the modified android.policy.jar. I had reused an existing icon as I couldn't recompile framework-res.apk.

Do you have an android.policy.odex file there as well? If so, that means you can't use this, since it was created on a deodexed rom.
But, like I said, I have it working krab's KA rom so I can't really tell if it will work anywhere else.

[Q] bootloop when creating rom

well this the problem guys: (only advanced/experienced users or developers)
i was making a rom and then wanted to test the setup wizard (go to settings, and reseted the phone via settings (didnt use cwm)
then, bootloop.. WHAT THE HELL? tried again (flashing all again) and bootloop again..
here is what i have added to the rom:
AOKP Nova Walkman Style™:
Rom control (kamarush)
xperia z bootanimation resized to 320x480 (till-kruspe)
es file explorer integrated a system
AOSP phone
AOSP contacts
AOSP callscreen
Email app from JB
Gallery from JB
init.d support
root
busybox
sqlite3
Framework with Reboot & CWM (pranav)
Bravia engine
Xperia S Walkman
skip track via long press (pranav framework)
Project Fluid v2 (script at init.d) (mvstyle)
Project Fluid Build.prop (mvstyle)
press back to kill (pranav framework)
nxt JB lockscreen xperia z (pranav110089)
nxt Framework (pranav110089)
Governor Tweaks from ThunderBolt (mvstyle)
small apps supported (pranav framework)
JB keyboard
JB camera (unknown uploader , took it from se-planet.com)
CyanogenMOD Ringtones/Notifications
JellyBean Ringtones/Notifications
could someone tell me where is the problem? thx alot!
mm another thing, when i tried to reset settings (via phone, not cwm) nothing happened
- maybe i need to make a flashable zip for xperia z lockscreen (i've seen lots of roms that have an addon for lockscreen)

If you did something wrong in changing the framework (maybe in compilling, too) it will give you a bootloop, because it can't start the framework. You could have tried to do a fix permissions in cwm, then it could be that you are able to boot to the homescreen, but framework is missing (no statusbar etc) and you can replace it

Hello Lalit!
Well if you want energy tweaks you might need to push SystemUI.apk from system/app as well as framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk and framework files. You might just want to push the whole framework folder and systemui.apk.
If you got those files from energy's blue rom then your theming will probably turn blue. So try it from fast amaze or energy's stock themed rom.

No, that is for Sense 4 only and you would definitely be kanging them since they would probably never let anyone use their proprietary tweaks. If they did everyone would have it for their roms already. So don't even think of kanging that or they will send a robot viper to bite you. Sorry.
But NRG Tweaks is more than enough.

It was just a feedback, keep calm in a day i probably flashing same rom 10 times
screens please
Working flawlessly on N910F XXU1BOC5.
Will it work on n910t?
On which version are those files based. BOD2?
Let me guess. To do this, my Rom has to be deodexed right? Because I have a N910F and both apps won't work. They kept crashing after flashing and boot up

or you can just browse to these files via root explorer and delete the arm or odex files

You mean delete them before flashing your individual packages?

Thank you.
In my system/app and system/priv_app there were two odex files in each of arm folder.
I just deleted the two odex files each for phone and camera and rebooted. Now phone app and camera works.

Thanks for this.
I flashed the zips manually like said in the OP, and had the apps crashing when I loaded back up. I'm on the stock rom which is still ODEX-ed, but after deleting the ODEX files it all seems to be working well.
Now I can finally lower the DPI from the ridiculously large default without messing up the apps!
Camera tested on N910C LP
Only issue for me (density at 480)
is the mode selection where the text is ontop of the icon and some are black (should be white text color)
else good work man!!!
