My galaxy s3 manufacturing date. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, how can I find my new galaxy s3 manufacturing date? I have purchased this phone 2 weeks back. It has build in jelly bean OS. battery manufacturing date is 17-01-2013. Charger manufacturing date 02-02-2013. There is no info on the box.

Dialer pad, put *#197328640* go [2] version info, go to [2] again, again number 2, and then select number 4
Eventually should be as screenshot

As far as I know, it can't be changed unless you replace motherboard

I was told CAL meant calibration.
Basically the date the phone got set up, tested and calibrated.

Then it BASICALLY equals manufacturing date... don't you think?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium

No need to be like that dude, I was just saying what CAL meant, and being more specific.
Yes it does BASICALLY mean manufacturing date, you are right. BUT manufacture date is loose, we know that the CAL means the date the phone was calibrated. Could of been 'manufactured' days before calibration.
My apologies if you feel I was undermining you, I wasn't at all

There were posts two days ago about that. Sorry you got excited.
Just checked and mine's saying "Up to Date" right now. Wish I could remove that stupid 24 hr restriction that AT&T has on this phone so I could check more often...
I checked within the last 24 hrs and have 4hrs and change before I can check again.
Here we go. 400 post saying they are up to date.

to bypass the 24-hour restriction turn off the automatic time and date option, change your date to 24 hours later and try again...

False, no need to diddle with your clock
All you need to do is: Settings > Applications > Manage applications [All] > AT&T Software update > [Clear data]

Do you use Siyah kernel? This is a known bug on the latest version, the battery charge normally but the charging animation is broken.
Yeah I am using that kernel, no fix for it at the moment then?

I believe the new version, 1.5.1, fixes this. But notice that this is only a display issue: the battery is charging normally, just the animation that doesn't work.

Phones is displaying @@@@ ???

This may be the case until the official JB Release comes out. But I would proably try the suggestions in the thread that has been mentioned.

Hi guys, I've recently loaded the Omega ROM for 4.1.2 JB and I realized that my power saving mode is not there anymore. I've tried searching the forums for answer but to no avail. Could anyone help me out on this?

There are two OMEGA versions, AOKP and Sammy Based.
You flashed AOKP which removes everything sammy based including popup play, smartstay etc. (Including powersaving, a samsung addon)
You need to download and flash the sammy based OMEGA.
Then in that case, which is better?
personal preference. try it and see which one you prefer. there is no "better rom" out there.
