[Q] Playback randomly stops - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
First of all – I’m sorry if this was asked here before. I’ve really tried to search the forum but couldn’t find a solution.
I have this strange problem in my device – when listening to music – it will randomly stops.
This happens on MP3 files (with PlayerPro & Winamp), with online music (TuneIn Radio) and with FM radio.
When it happens – I have to disconnect the headphones, stop and start the music and connect the headphones again. It also happens when not using headphones.
This happens when the screen is on or off, and also in Airplane mode.
My ROM is the (almost) latest CM-10.1 build. This is happening in all the previous CM ROMs as well.
On the stock ROM and Stock based ROMs – the playback is OK.
I would appreciate any help on this subject because I’m unable to listen to music this way.
My phone details are:
GT-I9300
Android Version: 4.2.2
Baseband Version: I9300XXELL4
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-CM-gcea4b18
CM Version – 10.1-20130310-NIGHTLY-i9300
Thank you very much,
Tal.

[Q] ICS XLPQ Bluetooth streaming problem.

Hi all,
Since i've installed the official ICS rom on my phone i have one major issue.
When i stream music over bluetooth to my car hifi it lags, well it's worse then lag i cannot even hear the music it's like constantly stopping and playing like if someone was spamming the start stop button. I never had this problem with GB 2.3.6.
I somewhat found a workaround but it's rly annoying to keep doing this to hear music. What i do is just when i connect to my car hifi i start playing with the volume rocker buttons so i can hear it trough my car, when I'm doing this i press the play button on the music player then it works fine until i stop the car or go to FM and go back to BT
This is definitely software related because the workaround i just described makes it work again :S. I don't want to go back to GB do you guys know the cause of this and do you maybe have a fix? Is this issue solved in the newer version of ICS XLP2? All i saw is that all of them have the same kernel so i did not upgrade.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I've never used 2.3 so cannot say if it's a 4.0 problem but it certainly looks like so..
I'm running resurrection remix 10 and use it on a Toyota TNS510 system..
Just a notice that this seems fixed for me now.
I've upgraded to the 4.0.4 Rom found here: Click!
Next to this i'm using the app "doubleTwist"
ICS talks a different language then gingerbread when it comes to A2DP, especially for the play/pause commands, which seem important to me..
Has anyone made reference to what the cause of the bug is in their code logs???
I did not find any solution for this problem. Some apps like poweramp have a solution internally which reduces my problems a bit. But when i use tune in for instance i still get hickups. Im using F1GalaxyNexus AOSP rom at the moment.

[Q] Pandora doesn't play music, just cycles to next song: u20i (X10 mini pro)

I tried searching in all the forums and found no threads regarding this. I'm new to this device so please excuse my lack of knowledge about this device. Pandora is installed and loads just fine. The problem is that when I select a channel to listen to, it shows the album art, indicates it's going to play, but then just jumps to the next song. No audio is heard at all. If I don't interact with the app it will just sit there and cycle through song after song with no audio being heard. I tried with headphones and without with the same issue. I also tried with a bluetooth headphone with the same results.
TuneIn Radio app works fine and the stock music player works fine so I know it's not an hardware audio issue. Is this already a known issue with this device?
I running the stock 2.1-update1 firmware with no Root. Build number is 2.1.1.A06. I bought this used and it appears to have an Asian keyboard, not sure if it's Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or something else.
Anyway, thanks for any insight you can provide!

Help - Sound issue with CM 11

Hi All
First up, many thanks for any help and for your time.
I am running CM 11 Nightlies (currently at 20140517) but this issue has been happening ever since I installed CM 11.
I use Apollo for music. The player will play fine for a period (sometimes more than an hour and sometimes just five minutes) and then suddenly the sound will disappear while the player keeps playing. I then have to reboot the phone for the sound to come back as manually shutting the app down does not work.
I don't believe it is an Apollo issue but think it is a sound issue as this happens with Google Music as well as Ginkgo Audio player as well (which I use for audiobooks).
I have already searched the net and the forums but haven't found anything yet.
Would be grateful for any advice.
You're far more likely to get an answer that will help in the CM11 discussion thread.
This sounds like an incidence of the well known and thoroughly discussed music bug which is present in EVERY build / version of CM11....some people it affects, some it doesn't..... You either have to live with it until a fix is found, or you revert to a JB based build.......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

[Q] Bluetooth makes phone reboot when playing music on car stereo

hi XDA
When playing music using google music. , the phone crashes after a random amount of time, usually mid way trough song.
The type of file doesn't matter, CD rips, play downloads, all cause random phone reboots .
I'm running CM12.1, build no. 20150531-unofficial-i9300
I'm going to try and change rom to see if this helps
I guess this is just the kind of hing that happens when running unofficial roms
I've tried disabling the cm music plugin and clearing Bluetooth data to no avail .
I have the same problem! I have used CM12.1 unofficial on my i9300. Then I have updated to other rom and the problem started to occur. The phone reboots after 30-50s of streaming while connected to my car media system via the bluetooth. I have tried both Archis and now arter97 kernels but the problem seems to be kernel-independent. What connects the roms is that it's android 5.1.1 in both of them. In the case of Android 5.1 the BT connection worked fine. Any help?? How can I troubleshoot it?

Galaxy S3 5.1.1 Rooted- Bluetooth Skipping Issue

Bluetooth Skipping Issue
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 (rooted)
Carrier: Ting
Android version: 5.1.1
Kernel version: 3.4.108-cyanogenmod-g7752cf1
Hello all,
Ever since I upgraded my phone to Android 5.1, I've had an issue with Bluetooth where playback is incredibly choppy. This happens with both my car stereo and my Bluetooth speaker. I've spent several days scouring various forums, trying to find a solution for this. The only thing that's worked for me is going to Setting | Apps | All | Bluetooth Share and clearing the application data. The problem is this only works for one session. The next time I try playing back music over BT, the stuttering is back with a vengeance.
Has anyone found a permanent solution for this? And if not, is there a way to set up an automated task that would periodically clear the application data for Bluetooth Share when Bluetooth is not in use?
I'm getting desperate so any assistance is greatly appreciated.
