[Q] How to do repair reflash of stock x10???

I think I need to reflash the android system onto my device, because I uninstalled the wrong files and now so many system features are broken (phone book won't open, fc when I try, gmail app fc on opening email, all user installed keyboards fc, surely many more but this is enough to tell me I need a reflash). Question is, where do my current backups stand? Will I be able to use them?? Please help, thanks.

Officially, you can't backup anything and all your data will be lost. If you were careful (maybe you did ?), you would use Titanium Backup and xRecovery to do full backups, but now you've messed everything up, it's not even safe to do a backup of a corrupted system...
To reflash, use Pc Companion or SEUS. You can also (not recommended) use custom flashers you can get from developping section...
Hi, thanks for your quick response. I forgot to mention of course I used titanium to fully backup everything, glad to know this can be used. So what do I do, how do I initiate the reflash process???
well, check the top sticky post..

If you have unistalled any system application, then you do only push that application to phone, after that restore the sytem data by Titenium backup.hope you have schedule backup...
if you have deleted some system files, then reflash ur fone by flash tool....you can only reflash the system.bin.(you need to root again)
hope it will help you......

Unfortunately for you, a hard reset is probably the easiest way. Then do an app/data restore from Titanium again, but DON'T restore system apps this time!
can someone please post a messaging system app from titanium on sg2 so i can restore that?

You'll need to put this in the system/apps folder to reinstate it, but this may not fix the problem as there may be associated files that you also need. Only 1 way to find out
mmm, i sent it to myself in a email and downloaded and installed over the top, but still no good.

You'll need to hard reset then. Since you have a backup to restore, it'll only take 5 minutes. Like I said, just don't restore system apps.
ill try one more thing, installing root explorer and see if i delete all the old stuff and install then.

You're not actually trying to install the apk by running it, are you?
tried to haha. but now i deleted the original via root explorer then uploaded the one you gave me back in there
didnt work gahh. it doesnt think the app exists now..
I hate to sound like a broken record, but do a hard reset. If you'd have done it earlier, you'd be using your phone by now
- how do i do a hard reset?

[Q] Android updating

Hi everyone,
Ever since I use a self modded systemui.apk from an already modded apk, I am getting the android updating popup every time I restart the phone.
I see this message before, that is when I do the rooting stuff but it only shows up during the first boot.
Is that normal?
Besides that message, everything seems to work well.
Thanks

Which file should I remove?
I googled around and found several post about it.
Some say about removing titanium backup odex from data/app folder (or generally other odex files), reinstall titanium backup, clear dalvik cache and another one is deleting com.google.widevine.software.drm.jar from framework folder
I done all of those with the exception of titanium backup odex as I don't have those. I did reinstall titanium backup though and that jar file I didn't remove it using adb but simply delete it.
None fix it lol.

A lot of people use Titanium to freeze apps; not sure what's happening if they're coming back.
I, on the other hand, rename the apks in root explorer (change the name to camera.apk.bak, for example). Another viable (and easier) option is to find the app in settings -> app -> all and disable it. With both methods, they can easily be reenabled if the mood strikes you.
The stock kernel has write protection so if you delete apps they come back.

LG G6 Debloating guide

Heu there guys, any guide/list of apps safe to be debloated on our non rooted G6?
+1!
Can't remember what thread it is but there's an app called LG package disabler that will on install show what can be disabled/debloated. I'll go back and look but I'm pretty sure they mention under read more that they'll have a listing of what's debloatable in a future update. App is 99ยข over been using icebox since it was the first sick app I came across that did this. Using it with greenify has helped with battery life for me. Not as good as root and pulling the bloat off the phone, but at least it's not eating resources of frozen

Beautiful man. Even in custom roms I can pull 100mb from the build. And this is exactly what I've been looking for. Gonna dig into it deeper later on.
Now we just need a way to install mods to the stock build. Using the dual speaker mod for example. Is there anyway anybody knows to make those changes through adb? Like this deal? (which I've yet to try admittedly) seems as if you should be able to push an apk or file to the system through adb. Can you change the name on the file mentioned using this method or something like it or is it a root only thing?
The reason I'm pushing on this is that when you take your rig to an LG tech they need some way to modify things if needed. How would they do it is my $1,000,000.00 question.
And seriously guys, if I'm posting in the wrong place let me know please. Thanks
Good find! ?

Sorry for being off-topic: jelly scrolling on OP5 cant get be fixed because its hardware related. they installed the screen the opposite way and have to turn 180 degree via software.
@herzzreh If I uninstall apps this way will a factory reset restore them or are they gone for good?

Factory restore should not restore them, I have not tried it though. Hard to say if OTA will or not but also shouldn't.
Updating with LG Bridge I think will restore them though.

I've tried and it doesn't uninstall, just deactivates the apps. At least in my case. The factory reset restores all the apps again.

Great, thanks guys exactly what I needed to know. Appreciate it.
adb method = disabling apps that can't be disabled/accessed via the Apps menu.
apks are still in the system; gonna need root to clear that out for real
Does this void warranty or nah? Does using ADB for things like this or Greenify void warranty? That's my only issue before trying this out
