that is what it says above my bootlaoder,

Try doing a ruu. You can do it from fastboot in the bootloader
Edit: or you can load a pg 83img recovery on your external sd card to reload your recovery and then you can get into twrp so you can flash a new Rom

Your other option is to fastboot flash TWRP. Once you've done that you can go into recovery and flash a ROM.

Lol where did I get the 83 from? Evo 3d?

Sorry. Try this. Go here and download this file to your external SD card. Don't put it in any folders-it has to be on the root of your card.
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/jewel/PJ75IMG-twrp-2.3.1.0-jewel.zip
Name the file PJ75IMG.zip (make sure there isn't an extra zip extension or it won't work). Boot your phone into bootloader (with the phone off you can do this by holding volume down + power until the bootloader screen pops up). If the phone doesn't automatically scan for the file, you can use the volume keys to navigate to 'Bootloader' and use the power button to select. When you are prompted to do so just use the volume keys to choose yes and the power button to confirm your choice. If successful the recovery will load. Once finished you can boot into recovery from the same screen and flash a new ROM

Sorry, I edited my above reply. I'll be happy to tell you how to fastboot flash TWRP if you'd like. Quick question though, do you know if you have the newest touch panel drivers installed? If you took the OTA update to get the latest version of Jelly Bean, then you do.

Trying.putting this on external sd. It's a ruu that can be flashed through bootloader. If that doesn't fix it then I'm not sure man. This may break chances of rooting but should fix your phone.

Any chance with that? That should be a signed image flashable by bootloader. Otherwise you may need to unlock your bootloader via fastboot to flash it.
Man, this is rough. Hopefully we can get it fixed though

Damn i thought it was gonna work, it updated for a while then said update fail because it was older then my current 3.16 =(

if you know a little Linux, you can try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948485. Otherwise a repair might be able to be done via JTAG. Other than that I am not sure. Maybe if you can unlock the bootloader and s off again you can atleast flash twrp and go from there. Sorry bro but I'm out of ideas.

Try to go to htcdev and unlock your bootloader. If that works then fastboot twrp then flash a Rom

i did but after i get the token and command prmt it gives this.

Your best bet is to just wait a lil bit for someone with more knowledge of how to fix this comes through. I would just not do anything else to the phone for now cuz you don't want to make it worse.

[Q] need help! 1.19 unlocked and rooted, still cant install anything

This is my first post so sorry if what I ask is stupid or something. I have searched everywhere and cannot find anything that is current enough to help me. I have hboot 1.19 and my software version is 2.13.651.1 710RD. I'm unlocked, rooted and also have TWRP recovery and I'm s-on. When I rooted my phone it also gave me SuperSU. I'm super lost now because I can't flash any ROMs to my phone. I've tried the charmeleon ROM and also the tranquility ROM but when TWRP is at the end of the Installing process it says that it failed and that there is no md5 or something like that.
what am I doing wrong?

Just disable MD5 check in TWRP, that should fix it. You do want to verify your MD5 matches in something like ES File Explorer. If you don't that will cause many other problems.

Well yes but the Rom will still install without errors. Go to the TeamWin website and download it from there. Grab the zip and rename it and place it on your external sd and boot to bootloader. It will install and then reboot but if you don't have a working Rom remove the sd afterward otherwise you can get stuck in a loop. Do not place it on internal if you don't have a working Rom. The other ways to install would be to use goo manager to install or flash the recovery in fastboot

Alright i'll give this a try, but what zip am i supposed to download and rename? I already have the latest version of TWRP on my phone.
You can check the md5 using a file explorer. Longpress on file and select properties, then compare to where you downloaded the ROM from. If s-on, you'll have to pull the boot.IMG from the ROM zip and fastboot flash from cmd or use flash image GUI app from your phone if you can boot.
Also, I think the disable md5 check in TWRP is under settings.

Internal storage on my phone is fried - can't mount anything. PC doesn't find it. RUU is out of date or would possibly work. I'm using windows 7 and having a very scary ride because the phone won't show up with anything except the SD card - which would be awesome and let me flash the new CM10 - but unfortunately when I go to install it, I get "unable to mount SD card" as a perpetual error message. Even the 3.15 RUU is out of date, also, and though I went through the rooting process and unlocked the device thru HTC's website, I have version 3.16 and the RUU tells me to get the correct RUU and try again. I have to go to work now, if anybody else has been through the special hell I'm trying to deal with please post something, anything, to get my windows able to find my phone, or my drive (internal) to mount to the pc or anything! This looks like a brick (and I've never screwed anything up this bad before )
Boot to twrp and mount storage, then plug into computer. Windows will recognize that it's corrupt and give you the choice to format it.
I still have S-ON. *facepalm*
How can I achieve S-OFF status so that the ROM, which I more or less WAS able to flash using your advice, will be able to quit boot looping and actually work?

I'm not 100% sure that S-ON is my only issue - this phone has had problems since day 1 power cycling and a few other strange issues, I'm probably going to just get a warranty replacement.

Update your twrp to 2.3.3.0 or if you want to return to stock you have to relock your bootloader
Sent from my PoS MoPho
TWRP won't take the update for whatever reason, and I can't get fastboot to work over this machine, so I'm thinking about running linux to get into the phone a little easier (hopefully.) I either have to wait til I can use my roommates machine, or start installing a dual boot
Have you tried goomanager to update twrp?
Yea, it downloads the file, gives a message stating it has been installed, then it does nothing. No reboot. when I manually reboot into recovery, it still sits at previous version.
Do you have adb setup on your PC? Also do you have the correct drivers installed ?

Ok, so finally got my fastboot to work
"Fastboot oem lock"
Worked. Awesome...now it's stuck in a bootloader loop. Won't let me into recovery, but I can still get to fastboot. I can't get to recovery, factory reset, etc. just hboot and fastboot.

Any ideas? I can get it to flash the PJ75IMG.zip but it says main version is older! or something to that effect and it fails. Any ideas?

Well since you are s-on you can't flash PJ75IMG files from bootloader if you want to update your phone to the latest OTA you have to relock your bootloader and reflash the stock recovery and take the OTA then unlock and flash twrp again.

A backup of...? Changed what apps and where? That sounds pretty irrelevant. How would it "not flash"? You would know if you RUU'd back to stock or not. You're also making it sound like you were S-OFF and now you're S-ON all of the sudden? That would be the result of an RUU route. Not sure why anything would prompt about being root or not while powering down a device.

S-OFF only goes back to S-ON through RUU. So I don't think you were S-OFF but then again I know nothing of that HBOOT version. Just download the latest CWM/SU, put it in storage, flash it, reboot to ensure root was gained and then try installing MB again.

Let's get you back up and running then. First Downgrade TWRP to 2.3.3. Then flash this rom.
This is just to get you back to a rom. We'll see what to upgrade from there.

Fastboot is the only way for you since you can't get a rom with root. Why isn't it working?

says main update is to old?

Had to get a replacement evo, want older rom back

I was running the Fresh rom for nearly a year and was totally happy with it. I now have a new evo because of a screen failure. I rooted and S-offed it with dirtyracun and flashed rage. I still pretty much hate everything about JB and want my Fresh back. I have flashed the 2.13.651.1 firmware and tried to install the rom and get a false boot after step 2 of 6. I then have to boot into bootloader and reinstall the above rom again. Is there anything I can do to go back?
Anyone?
Are you s-off or s-on?
You might need to fastboot the boot.img... Did you Ruu or just used captain's firmware bits to update to 2.13 firmware?

Shows the HTC boot screen (before it's actually installed the rom) and will sit there as long as I let it. I have to force reboot into bootloader and recover previous rom.

Boot into your bootloader and list the info in the top left corner of the screen. First five lines will do.

Would have responded sooner but I have to wait 5 minutes between posts even if I am just editing my own. Kinda silly.

No problem. Have you verified MD5 on the download to make sure the download wasn't bad? Also, have you tried flashing a different ICS ROM? I can't think of any reason why you would be having these issues, other than not wiping correctly in recovery (system wipe, flash ROM & reboot).

My bad, I thought from the way were talking that you had reverted to ICS. Try this. Download the ROM again and verify MD5. Make a backup of your current setup, then do a system wipe in recovery, flash the newly-downloaded ROM, and reboot.

Sadly I am on hold with sprint customer service over an unrelated matter so It'll have to be in a few minutes. LOL
How do I verify the MD5? Do I need to flash the RUU again? I'm not a newbie, but I forget it all after I do it. LOL
(woohoo one more post until the time limit and captcha goes away)
Sorry, blatant post count increaser. I need to edit some bad typing. LOL
It looks like Flipz site is down so I am not able to download the rom again. Bummer
In es file explorer hit properties and then show checksum and make sure it matches the one in the OP

Sorry I guess I'm slow. How would I know what to match? It shows the file name.
What version of twrp are you on? I want to say people had problems flashing older roms on newer versions, but I can't personally confirm that...worth a shot though.

That's the only thing I haven't tried. I am on the new version I believe. Any idea where I could find the version for 2.13.651.1
Never mind I still had the old root folder. Trying now.

Here's the version I've been using since I got the phone (2.2.2.0), has worked great for ICS and JB alike. Just rename this file to PJ75IMG.zip and put on the root of your external sd card, then reboot into the bootloader and it will install automatically. Remember to remove it afterwards or it will try to install again next time you enter the bootloader.

Thank you very much, I'll try that next if the version I used on my last phone doesn't work.

[Q] SoftBricked Droid DNA. Please Help.

Hi I am needing some help with my phone. i soft bricked it a while back and it has been stuck in a bootloop ever since.
Important things to know.
it is ***locked***
monarudo pvt ship s-on
hboot-1.33.0001
radio-1.01.04.0308
OpenDSP-v6.120.274.0114
eMMC-boot
okay so i have tried using the RUU on my phone but it is giving me the error 158 because it says i don't have to correct ruu for my phone. secondly i get the FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail) error when i try to flash anything in in fastboot. so everywhere i have seen someone post about this they are told to try to go to s-off using moonshine but the problem is that my phone will only connect to fastboot and not to bootloader so i can't use ADB which you have to use to work with moonshine. if i could please get some help on this it would be greatly appreciated.
First thing first I'm guessing u have no ROM on your phone. Sense u in a bootloop?

no it was never rooted nor did it have a custom rom
if i go to recovery it bootloops, if i go to factory reset it bootloops, it is honestly acting like there is no rom and no recovery there at all. the only thing it will connect with my computer with is the fastboot and even then it won't let me flash anything in and it won't accept the RUU. i am just incredibly confused.

Are u sure it's never been rooted with a custome recovery or did this happen while trying to root/soff? Because what ur saying doesn't add up. I had a similar problem awhile back while trying to flash a Rom. It kept failing over and over. On my last attempt the recovery crashed and somehow became corrupt. So I was stuck with hboot and had nowhere to go. I ended up fastbooting a new recovery & downgrading hboot to the one compatible with the only RUU available.
You need to downgrade the hboot and then RUU. Then you can moonshine.

That's what I'm saying. Did u buy it on a site or from someone because pretty sure there is no possible way it could just have no ROM.

yes i am pretty sure it failed during trying to flash moonshine. i have tried to flash things in as i stated above but nothing will go in because it is saying its not the correct signature.

The link ThayIO provided is basically what I did.
If you are unlocked the command is: fastboot flash recovery (drag & drop the recovery image into the command window) and press enter.

Sounds like you guys are screwed. Had the same issue and claimed warranty on the device. Until a new RUU leaks i think you are stuck having to go the JTAG route. I dont think theirs any other fix unfortunately

like i said i am unsure on the exact details. it just doesn't make sense that i can't use my bootloader and then my fastboot commands are pretty much useless.. if i only had a way to flash in a recovery or the stock hboot it would work
Your only option is to achieve s-off. You can't do anything in fastboot without it. Until then your SOL
