Me personally, it doesn't work. It comes on but none of the devices see it. Idk maybe I'm overlooking something. I also don't like posting a problem until I've fully searched for a fix. While searching i came across this app and figured it would help someone with a similar issue.

I personally use PDA NET+, it includes with FoxFi WiFi tethering.

I thought we had a warm dev for a bit because I had a ice sense 3.6 on my rezzy for a few weeks it was at least advertising warm and infected I know doesn't have the device but they made a kernal for our device and they tried to do a from along time ago

And S-OFF doesn't help with AOSP roms. It's the RIL that matters. I think the devs need the actual source code from HTC to get that one working.

It is mainly ril yes. Protekk was recently purchased a rezound and hopes to crack this for us. I think it mainly involves getting the sense based apks to speak with aosp.

I understand what you're asking and its a valid question, but no I don't think s off will affect CM9 all that much. We will get AOSP, and its getting closer because devs have agreed to work on it. But in my opinion, the s on s off situation wasn't the magic ticket for a bunch of devs who were anxiously awaiting working on the rezound. Having s off definitely won't hurt, but I just don't think that was the reason it hasn't happened yet.
I hope the community appreciates guys like dmeadows who put a lot of time into getting us AOSP and making sure the momentum stayed moving forward. There were some others too but I remember d off the top of my head. Thanks to protekk for taking on the RIL project.

I think the problem is that people can't have a disagreement while being respectful. People should remember that just because you say something or think it doesn't mean it's right. I think Kid rock said in one of his songs "I'm wrong, but you ain't right". People just need to be nice to each other, but hiding behind a monitor and internet connection gives people huge ego's. Same as any other forum really, but this place should be different as we are all here to help each other, or should be at least.

I agree, we don't have to flame anyone regardless of how stupid the question. What should be done is if someone ask something obvious, just copy paste the link to the thread and a friendly comment about the search button. We were all noobs once and had these same questions. It's just nice to have some personal direct input sometimes.
As for cm9, I'm almost postive once kernel source is released from htc, we will see progress

I am Swedish, but I've set everything possible to English (US) and to use Google.com instead of Google.se and to always speak back, yet it rarely does. It also completely ignores statements and only googles them. LIke if I say: "I can count to potato", it searches the web for it rather than throwing me a sassy comeback or whatever.
Google now only gives back useful information .. no jokes and useless chats.

Try vlingo or just use s-voice (based on vlingo like siri).
Iris would also be something you could try, it's almost only usable as chat bot.
Google now is to get informations or handle tasks, no chat bot.
