htc x525a use the sofware in this forum? - HTC One X+

I'm fixing a telus x525a and need to know if the software in this forum will work thanks in advance

What kind of fixing exactly?
For TELUS, use only AT&T / TELUS tagged ROM/TOOLS/ETC. INTERNATIONAL phone is different then US/CAN phone.

It won't boot to os it has recovery and fast boot I just need a ROM to get it going
even for the one x+

You have to select the right ROM version (AT&T/TELUS)
Then you need to flash the right boot.img for the ROM you are using otherwise your phone will go in an endless boot loop at reboot. Have a look at the FAQ everything you are looking for is written.

i just need a ruu or a link to the telus thread cuz they told me over at the att one x forum that its a different phone
sorry i missunder stood i have to use the att/telus roms in this forum

May I ask, did you read the FAQ ?
As for now, you said you have an x525a phone, it is indeed an HTC ONE X+ phone with an LTE radio chipset with the code name : EVITARE_UL (second line in bootloader to confirm this model)
This EVITARE_UL model is what we call in this forum section : AT&T / TELUS
If your phone was an INTERNATIONAL HTC ONE X+ model without the LTE chipset then the code name would read : ENRC2B (again confirmable at the second line in bootloader mode).
From there it is obvious that you need to read more before doing anything with your device. You said you were trying to install a rom from the HTC ONE X forum, then your are trying to install a rom for a different phone and different hardware = INCOMPATIBLE = BIG MESS INCOMING = Lack of reading and understanding what you are doing.
I strongly suggest you do more reading before attempting anything with your device.

I don't think I misunderstood you, you corrected your post above my response when I was writing, but anyway this is futile, I am glad you found the solution to your problem.

at first it sounded like the thread i'm lookin for but its nt , i dnt really need the ROM file itself i only need an accepted serial No. i.e not a carrier device e.g t-mobile.
it was in the official ROM updates and the admin i believe put a few serial numbers & he suggested to use them if we have a carrier device to be able to download the ROM from htc's site.
but thanx anyway, appreciated

I have a developer model. Can't update it.

Just bought second hand HTC Radar. Sseller sold it, because he couldn't update it, because of error 80180048.
He said he thinks the phone is developer model and it may need a firmware....and goood luck!
I can't find how to crab a screenshot on Windows phone, but there is several additional items in the menus:
TestSuite
zBig Boss Settings
zCompass
zGesture Bester
zSensorView
zSart KITL
Is there any standard (original) firmware for radar? The phone is unlocked like every HTC phone sold here in Finland. Is it wise to contact HTC, if they could help, or can I get trouble of doing that?
edit: I'm completely newbie, but I found this:
Model: HTC Radar C110e
Software : WIndows 7.5
OS Version: 8107.WM7_Main_Ship (mojobld).20111201-2014
Firmware revision number: 1600.2200.10807.401
Hardware revision number: 0002
Bootloader version: 1.8.160015.3(131865)
Chip SOC version: 1.6.0.0

Thanks for the quick reply!
Yeah, I tried Hard reset. I also found that link, when trying to find help with that error number. In that help site there is a warning: DO NOT use the Windows Phone Support Tool if your phone's operating system (OS) version is 7.0.7390.0 or higher.
My phone says it has 7.5.
Do someone know how to recognise if this phone actually is a developer version?
Or maybe it has just a custom firmware?
Is there a way to recognize a custom firmware?
if i were you i would use DFT HSPL and flash a custom rom

Many thanks. As I told I'm pretty new with this stuff, but at least thats looks promising.
By the way, I found out my phone is a developer model for sure.
I found a topic in here when doing a search using the OS version (which looks weird).
I found this:
Radar - Strange build - mojobld ?
I see..
So I presume you can skip DFT HSPL and go straight to flashing some ROM whether is stock or not.
Sent from my Radar C110e using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
In that other thread, a person with developer phone had tried to flash the phone with other firmwares without success. I would really like to get advices from the people here, before doing anything stupid.
I think i made a mistake saying that htc phones in finland are unlocked. What i mean is they are not locked (or branded) by carrier (like Vodafone, orange etc).
i think you could easily unlock the bootloader (DFT HSPL) and flash a fresh ROM, but look for other opinions just to be sure

[Q] Does radio affect LTE capability?

Greetings,
Ive lurked on xda for years without ever posting. All problems are solvable with a little research and the help of our mutual friend google
Im on my 4th HTC device, now a OneX+ that was brought into Dubai from Taiwan. Having successfully rooted and rommed all my phones and tablets, I kinda jumped the gun and started mucking around with my phone a bit early, using the rootboot early on.
I attained SU properly, but I had the same problems as others that in HBOOT, the radio was "unknown". Unfortunately I didnt write down the original radio settings, so im not entirely sure what my device is.
Now with the latest CWM, I have a working radio, CWM and AndroRevolution 3.0 working brilliantly. Radio is being reported again as the EU version of .16
However what I wanted to know are the following questions:
1) Just a bit of confirmation; the boot.img dictates the radio, correct?
2) If yes, then is it possible to flash a different radio than the original? If no, then does this mean since my radio is confirmed and everything is working, my current radio _IS_ the correct one?
3) My region and provider has LTE support and my provider says I only need to enable it on my phone. However using the dialcode to access test settings and change through the modes, it keeps switching from any LTE reception back to something with WCDMA. I cannot even switch to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto. It switches back within 2 seconds.
So what Im trying to ascertain here is, do I possibly have the wrong radio, and if I do is there a way to figure out what it should have been?
The other piece of the puzzle is that despite the unit is from Taiwain, the original language when i switched it on was German, which would suggest it is in fact a EU unit.....
Ive searched through many tools, apps, threads, specs, with no luck in answering the question.... Any help is greatly appreciated.
Paz
1. Boot.img is the kernel and has nothing to do with the radio
2. You can only flash different radio versions by either flashing an RUU or by S-OFF. Radio is a security protected partition. FLASHING A RADIO WILL NOT ENABLE 4G ON A NON 4G DEVICE!! The HOX+ Inrernational version is 3G only. So in answer to your question. Yes you can flash a new radio, but no you will never have 4G on an international hox+

I do have S-OFF though, so is there a way to confirm if its the international version? The model is PM35110. Any reference online is always in Asian language, so hard to tell. I suppose international version really means all countries.
Bugger.... I bought this specifically for LTE support... :crying:

How did you get S-OFF? Do you mean an unlocked bootloader? because that's a different thing. Nand protection security flag, remains intact when unlocking bootloader. so write protected partitions like radio remain unaffected. Either way it's not a software issue. Its a hardware issue. The LTE device have different radio hardware not just software, So your device is either LTE ready or not.

Er yes, you are not confused, i am. HBOOT is showing S-ON, so I must have been high on caffeine when I was sure I saw S-OFF at one point. However like I mentioned I was playing with the rootboot boot.imgs early on and I was pretty sure I saw S-OFF then. But incidentally that was also when the radio was "unknown" at that time.
Oh well, Im stateside for Xmas and will give my dad the international version and buy myself a new one.
Thanks for your help

You're doing it so, so wrong.
A quick search of the model number reveals that it's the Endeavour C2. If you have an LTE version it would be Evitareul.
1) Wrong. Radios are flashed separately and are not packed into the boot.img.
2) It is possible but unless you are S-OFF you cannot flash one very easily.
3) The reason why is because your device does not support LTE.

Yes thanks
Radios are not .img files to be flashed, they're in /system/etc

[Q] Can I flash T-Mobile ROM on a unlocked AT&T HTC One - I know this is silly

Hey!
Its been a longtime that I've had a android phone!
I know its a silly question but can somebody let me know if I can flash a T-Mobile ROM on a AT&T HTC One?
I know hardware wise they are same, but just want to make sure.
Also, I know there is nothing as best ROM.
But can anyone suggest me 2 ROM's with minimum issues?
One Stock ROM, other themed ROM.
PS: - I like the HTC Sense

Any gsm(att, tmobile, international) rom should work on your phone. Just make sure, when flashing, select the att files if applicable. Also when flashing, use the kernel that is compatible with you device. So Elemenalx or teamm7 kernel.
I would suggest flashing ROMs from the international HTC one thread because there are a lot more ROMs avaliable. I am picking between insert coin or the viper one rom. Both are stable and on the latest version of sense and Android. Insert coin has a theme if you install the kustomizer. Another rom that is not as stable is the RENOVATE rom. It has a full theme and amazing battery life.
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The ATT One and T-Mobile One are NOT the same.
The TMO unit has a different radio chipset to be able to operate on T-Mobiles 1700 / 2100 paired set. The ATT unit does not have these.

As your phone is SIM-unlocked, it shouldn't turn it locked when you flash the new update. At least, it didn't so to my SIM-unlocked AT&T HTC One.

[Q] Please help a newbie

my concern is if i managed to root and install CM, will i lose the unlock ??
how to know my unlock code ??
what if want to return to stock ROM or what if want to update to the upcoming Sense 6 [what ROM should i install International ROM or Tmob] and will i lose the unlock?? is there any possibility i lose the unlock??

Also if you know any easy way to unlock the screen with other option than the power button i'll love to know it. and the Led indicator don't blink when i got whatsapp msgs too..
Sorry HTC newbie
Regards
So no one knows?? or no one care ??? :-\ -_-
If you root your phone, I don't think you will loose unlock. I also on T-Mobile, but I'm in the States, I'm using Insert Coin Sense 6 Rom. It's international, there is options when installing the Rom for different carriers. Don't use CM recovery! The best one to use is TWRP. There is instructions in the international section of this website on how to go back to stock. There so many roms to choose from, I don't think you will want to go back to stock. Nobody really comes in the T-Mobile section. You're best bet is to check out the international section.
