[Q] How to ENABLE beep when phone is plugged? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all;
I swear I searched for this but I could only find questions and answers for the opposite problem - how to stop the phone from beeping when plugged.
I upgraded my Samsung S I9000 from stock ROM Gingerbread to Cyanogen 10 (Android ICS).
The phone used to beep when plugged and now it does not anymore. Having I sight issues that audio clue was helpful.
I cannot find how to enable it back. Is it possible, and if so please how?
Many thanks!

Download Llama from the play store.
You can set an event to satisfy your needs. I've set 3 separate sounds for when my phone is plugged, unplugged and fully charged.

[Q] Media volume auto lowering on headphone disconnect

has anyone noticed that the media volume automatically lowers (if its on high/max) when the headphones are disconnected?
this is kinda of annoying for me as i only really use the headphones jack to connect to my car stereo so i would prefer it to be a bit louder than normal.
ive tried it on PowerAMP, Meridian and the stock music player
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
SGS2 running KE7 with FD mod and apps frozen
Upz!
Done some searching but couldn't find a solution.
I havent tried this myself, (haven't got my SGS2 yet) but i wonder if Tasker can help you. Sound like it can run sript to do something when the headset is plugged or unplugged.
true but thats just a workaround rather than a solution
i was hoping someone had figured out how to disable this auto-lowering permanently
SGS2 (sprint) here and it has same problem... anyone found a solution to this? annoying as heck since I use 3.5mm exclusively for in-car's aux port and constantly need to increase volume to max on plugin...
Having same issue on Droid X CM 7.1, I'm thinking it's an Android 2.3.5 thing. I've tried using takser and setting profiles to overcome it, but I've had limited success.
Hi
It is my first post in forum.
I have SGS2 with 2.3.5 of Android.
I have the same problem, even when I don't use headphones.
Media volume (sms, email) is reduced at its lowest automatically when I receive an SMS or email notification. Then I have to kill all programs by (clear memory).
Any solution yet?

[Q] Loudspeaker is not muted (only music is) when headset/headphones is plugged in?

Hey folks!
Okay, I'm getting desperate here and I have no idea what other thing to do.
When I have the headphones/headset plugged in, notifications, ringtones and system sounds like volume changing STILL are coming from the loudspeaker but only music comes from the headphones/headset. And yes, I double ckecked the sound preferences.
I had this issue with the newest MIUI (2.1.13) and now with CheckRom RevoHD V4. I even went back to the stock firmware that was on the device when I got it via CWM restore, but still the same issue.
I normally use the Siyah Kernel (right now v2.6.7), I tried out various ones and even different radios (right now running XXKL1, tried out XXKH3) and no change.
Does somebody have an advice? I'm sick and tired of turning the volume all down because I others could hear my chat notifications every few seconds when I have my headphones/headset plugged in :/
Thanks
Aww, nobody? :/
I have the same issue, i googled it many times but i couldn't get any solution either. Doesn't anyone have any solution (not advice) for this?

[Q] Weird problem: phone auto-mutes when removing the headset cord.

The last couple weeks my phone has started to do this weird thing it has never done before. I plug my Vibrant into my car's head unit using a 1/8 inch to 1/8 inch audio patch cable. Whenever I remove the plug from the phone, the slider for "Media Volume" is overlayed on the screen and quickly drops to '0'. I have to pull up my mixer every time I get in the car and bring the slider back up to '15'.
I've had similar issues with the phone in the past, where plugging in will automatically start the music app, but there are several headset blocker apps that work fine and prevent that. These apps have no impact on the present issue, though. Anyone have any idea how to stop this?
I've seen a lot of mention of a "mute bug" in various roms. A search for that, or maybe "unmute bug", should provide some info.

[Q] My SGS3 thinks that headphones plugged in when somebody calls me. WTF?

I have AutomateIt Pro app installed and i have created a profile to launch music player app when i plug headphones in.
When somebody is calling me, SGS3 shows in taskbar that heaphones plugged and it stars music player and messes everything...
I thought maybe it's AutomateIt Pro that's buggy, then i installed Tasker trial version, created the same kind of automation profile.
But i see the same behaviour again. It is really annoying. Why would SGS3 think that when there is an incoming call it means headset is plugged?
I'm running Omega 5.1 ROM with Siyah 1.1
The same was with Omega 4.2 and stock kernel
Any idea how to avoid that?
I not use AutomateIt Pro, but I had a similar problem, everytime I unplugged the earphone, the phones acted as it was still plugged in!! Afther talking with Samsung support, the solution was to hard-reset the phone. Afther I haven´t got the problem
I´m on stock rom and use the original earphones
I think it is different problem than yours

[Q] Milestone 2 AOKP ROM on S3 SG3 Intl. Bluetooth bug

Hi all,
I looked everywhere but could not find a solution to a problem I've been having for a long time now.
I apologise if it's inappropriate to open a new thread but I cannot find any other solution.
I've been using AOKP milestone for some time on my I9300 (S3) device and am very happy with all the features and battery life etc.
I've been having one problem with the bluetooth and am unable to find out the solution or root cause of the problem.
Recently I have even tried a factory reset and flashed the milestone 2 latest rom but still am having the same issue,
Here are the details of the problem;
During a call using bluetooth handsfree car kit or earpiece it's not possible to resume / direct / transfer the call to the devices internal or external speaker.
Once I turn off the bluetooth due to arrival to destination and having to leave the car or battery dying in the earpiece I can hear the person on the other end for 3 seconds and then total silence but the other end can hear me clearly. Once I turn on the BT or external speakers on / off I can hear for 3 more seconds and so on,
What am I missing.
Please help.
did you find a solution to your issue.
I have the exact same, but running on CM10.2
Issue is when I am on a call with bluetooth I can't switch to speaker, or phone while in call. If I do so, they cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. If I switch back to bluetooth everything works again... Anyone else know a fix for this?
I cant find any solution for this? anybody know..
no solution yet
I looked all over and tried different roms and issue remains the same.
I used Omega based samsung and only then it worked fine but I do not like Sam. Based roms.
Please keep me posted if you solve this.
Also another problem I'm facing is, if capturing a video in a concert / club, video sound is very nosiy and un hearable, picture is ok though
Can you verify this too please?
