I just got an WT19i and after a lot of searching im still dont find any matches to this:
- how do i root and unlock bootloader if i'm on 2.3.4? I wanna update to 4.0.4.
If u could provide the link to the thread to the best way of doing it i would appreciate it.

use the official method in http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ but you will loose the drm keys which are used by stock track id
and you will no be able to use facebook inside xperia or unlock via test points but i think is more dangerous!!!

Hello, I have a Sony Xperia P and I want to to unblock it and root it to install the CyanogenMod. The problem is the guide is very complicated and I cannot understand what to do.
What is the best kernel to use?
What software do I need?

No need to rage bro, I've done it. I somehow changed the bootloader allowed from NO to YES, then rooted, unlocked bootloader and install latest CM11 thanks to a couple of nice users in the other thread.
You can close this now.
