Hey Ive read here n there that some developers are working on porting the arc camera app to the xperia play. So I was just wondering wouldn't it be easier to port the new xperia pro cam app instead, as it is also 5mp but supports HD recording. Would it even be possible or is there a hardware difference that makes HD unusable on the the xperia play. Sony state that the mini pro is a mid range device, so I can't see how it would have better hardware than the xperia play.
(I did post this in the Q&A section but for some reason the Q&A section is not showing on my xda app. So sorry for double posting)

I would like to know about this, the software that controls is way better than the GB or ICS version, don´t know why.
Only hope is a port, for devs i will assume it´s a good challenge.
A port would be amazing, i was hoping that the new ics release will bring that camera app from other xperias to play, but the beta shows that thats not true .
I love the face derection function from mini pro, and the touch focus is even a great feature, thata defenetly missing on play!

hi, I use Sola and want this feature.
As soon as my sola gets the ICS upgrade I will root it with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916702 and try to port the above mentioned patch to the nfc.apk for sola.
As far as I understood the above posts this should not be a big deal.
I will do my best and report back once there is something to report.
I think this feature is really useful. Pls ports it to Xperia devices.

Hey, I am a noob. Could somebody tell me how to get the pure Android 4.0 settings on my Xperia U.
Or simply the settings in CM9. Is it as simple as I replace the APK from the FXP's or something but I

I dont think that a simple copy-paste would be enough for that but nothing wrong with giving it a try (Although chances are a bit slim ) Odds are you'll need to edit Settings.apk after decompiling and make alot of edits to get it to aosp style

I've Made a Rom that has this stock settings.
But its for Xperia p and I currently can't change the switches

CM9 is still not 100% ready. And I kinda like the Xperia UI so Ill stick with this for a while I just want to how he got the AOSP Settings working
I was browsing through the themes and apps section and found a while dedicated thread to aosp clean framework. I don't remember the OP but I have the flashable zip. I'm on Mobile now. Will find the thread and link it tomorrow.....
You can search for it too. It was called 'aosp framework'
I remember its title has these words' works on Xperia u, p with caveat'

It's possible but very hard, so if you aren't an advanced developer I wouldn't do it. This will waste your time

Because companies don't reveal their sources...
Still Zackcconsole made a port of HTC SENSE... but it is very buggy...
It's a very hard job to accomplish...
You can always get the exact look of sense or touchwiz on cm
By using themes, icon packs, launchers and stuff
