Do research and reading if you are uncertain about this rom.
WHAT IS IT?
There are many great ROMs out there, with the more popular ones being AOSPA (ParanoidAndroid), CM10.1, and AOKP. Being all great ROMs, it is sometimes difficult to choose which one you want to run. Why choose when you can have all three? P.A.C.-Man ROM is combination of all three ROMs, so you don't need to keep switching or deciding between which one to flash. Get all of the features in one ROM!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
CHANGELOGS:
Look at PAC source history for further changes, I will not post them.
03/22 – Repo synced, Initial build so there could be many bugs.
03/29 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.71, fixed: calendar crashing in portrait mode, boot animation, high battery drainage in deep sleep, some heat issues when device is in high load (maxed frequency) for long period, removed phone and phablet ui from Hybrid Properties (Default Tablet UI) , default boot orientation is landscape (Don’t ask why).
04/10 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.72, NO MORE DEEP SLEEP (deep sleep does not help reduce battery drainage when device sleep but causes problems with our current kernel), improved battery drainage in sleep, the device will wake and get charged when you plugged in power cable, changed default governor to Wheatley for lower battery usage, added back 1.2GHz, removed faked battery data (you will need to do a full charge, green light, to get accurate battery stats), used Wi-Fi codes from BN, Wi-Fi is set to turn off when the device sleep, added back default dual-pane preferences, latest CWM 6.0.3.0 recovery, make use of sdcard0 (EMMC) as default storage for those without SDCard, added back Phablet UI to Hybrid properties (Navigation bar buttons and Battery bar options only work in Phablet UI currently).
Removed for now, rotation bug.
(Recommended factory reset for internal rom, clear data1/cache for sdcard rom)
GooManager: Rom ending in *SDC is for SDCARD boot, don’t get it mixed up with internal rom.

You need to do a full wipe (factory reset and wipe cache) if you are on a different ROM.
You need to wipe data1 and cache if you are SD booting.
You need to reinstall GAPPS after each ROM installation.
In the case you booted and all you see is black screen for a couple minutes, reboot to see if it's fix.
Initial booting can take several minutes.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Copy ROM/GAPPS into your Internal Storage on the device.
Reboot into recovery and install ROM from Internal Storage.
Full wipe can be done before or after installing ROM/GAPPS.
For SD booting, you need to make bootable SDCard first.
There are plenty of guides around.

Get to know your NT for latest build.
In the storage settings, there are two internal storages. The top one is where your apps gets installed.
The space is 1GB/~5GB (if formatted) for a 16GB NT. This is data1 for SD boot.
The second internal storage is EMMC; it doesn’t reside on your SDCard. The default EMMC space is 11GB/7.5GB (if formatted) for a 16GB NT.
The EMMC isn’t get used so now it is. Your downloaded app data goes there. This is how most android devices are set up.
Now if you want your downloaded app data to go your SDCard, Settings>Apps>Select downloaded app>Move to SD Card.

I love the rom and the extra ram that it gives me .

Dolphin HD?
I did a clean install of this ROM a few days ago. I haven't had time to really push it through its paces yet, but yesterday I found that I couldn't get Dolphin HD to run under this ROM. Tried rebooting, wiping cache and Dalvik cache, and uninstalling/reinstalling Dolphin HD, and am still getting the same result -- I launch Dolphin, get a complete white screen for about 2 seconds, and then return to the homescreen.
Tried reverting to my prior ROM (Demetrius' most recent SG7 Cherry Picks) via nandroid backup, and everything worked OK there. Reinstalled PAC-man and GAPPS last night, but haven't seen if that fixed the problem yet.
Anyone else see anything similar?
Saludos,
SPC

I noticed a few quirks:
In TabletUI modes, the navigation bar does not display the "3 vertical dot" Setting button for at least some apps such as ES File Explorer.
The home-screen's personalized wallpaper selection sometimes gets reset to the default (blue/violet) wallpaper when switching between UI modes.
The digital clock on the lock-screen (mine is "Fixed Clock" app) does not always get updated when the NT gets woken up from a prolonged sleep state.
The battery consumption is noticeably higher than that of Succulent's other CM10.1 builds.

On the new 03/29 build, following boot completion, is there a way to lock into portrait mode?

Will this work on an 8GB Nook Tablet?

ROM control > Navigation Bar > adding more button or changing existing one doesn't do anything. I'm trying to add a menu button.

Couple more issues
1. Wifi on while sleep does not stay on.
2. Nook charger not charging, regular usb cable does charge.

My nook charger works and I think Wifi is like that to help save battery.

My nook tablet is not charging through a regular wall outlet in this rom. It only charges through computer USB.

READ ALL OF THIS POST AND THE ONE AFTER IT!
No, really, read it all. There's important information in here, honest!
Edit: Desire to Nexus One port status update - read
What is it?
As you all know, HTC have announced the 'HTC Desire', which is effectively HTC's version of the Nexus One. It shares a lot of the same hardware, but features cool stuff like HTC Sense and other cool apps (such as a camera app with face recognition, touch focus etc. etc.). The product is due to launch soon, which means ROMs have started to leak. This Alpha release is one such leak.
Alpha? That sounds scary?
Yeah, this isn't even Beta. There's a good chance you won't want to use this as your main ROM, but you might like to check out what's coming down the road.
So what works?
Almost everything - it's quicker to talk about what doesn't work. Aside from the FM radio, there appear to be no hardware incompatibilities that will cause a problem between the two devices. Even the noise cancelling microphone is functional in this ROM. The only problems with the ROM are related to the fact that HTC are yet to release the Desire kernel source, and there's a lot of changes in there. For the latest known issues status, please see the post below.
Tell me about partitions!
The Desire has a different partition layout to the Nexus One, which means some stuff had to be moved from /system to /data. No biggie, and with each Alpha release i'm optimising further to improve the situation. Be aware that this means you must wipe BEFORE installing the ROM and NOT AFTER, or it won't boot. A wipe is strongly recommended before trying this ROM - and remember to nandroid backup first!
What else are you working on for the ROM?
I have deliberately left this ROM un-odex'd, as I know other ROM developers will like to have a play with it (remember to credit your source guys!). Going forward, odex'ing the ROM makes a lot of sense to save space, although it's less of an issue now I have moved the dalvik-cache to the cache partition (as in cyanogen's ROM).
What kernel are you using? Any other tweaks worth knowing about?
The ROM has the usual MCR tweaks (tun.ko, openvpn, busybox, dropbear etc.) and is running a custom kernel by teknologist and myself based on the stock .33 source (check the changelog below for more details). Himem is enabled. The kernel runs at standard clock speeds, uniquely only using undervolt at the lowest clock speeds.
This is great - how can we say thanks?
Details on how to support my work should you wish to do so (any contributions are gratefully received) are available on the download page.
Alright, i've read enough, gimme the downloads!
One download, update zip format, apply via Amon_RA's excellent recovery image, remember to Nandroid backup first. You probably won't want to use this as your production ROM yet!
DOWNLOAD
These links use referrer checking to prevent bandwidth theft - if you get redirected to the MoDaCo homepage, try 'right click save as', another browser, or disabling noscript / ad blocking
One more thing?
To finish i'd like to say 'enjoy playing with the ROM', thanks for your support and here's looking forward to the final Desire release (after a few more Betas) on our beloved Nexus Ones!

Repacked boot image, including TCK 0.4, to avoid flashing issue. Minor kernel config tweaks.

Bootsound removed - it will be an optional extra in the kitchen. It was annoying me.
Alpha 8
Hugely, HUGELY, optimised for space. Only the framework sits on /data now (and there's 12MB free on system currently!), and I foresee that with more work, we might even be able to fit everything on /system!
dalvik-cache moved to /cache, this frees up a ton of space on /data
.32 Custom kernel by myself and teknologist with undervolt for low frequencies only, our usual modules etc. for VPN, tun and the like, props to persiansown for the UC source and cyanogen for the kernel git - this should fix Bluetooth!

Alpha 7
Fixed issue with ringtones list
Alpha 6
Changes to try and resolve random reboots
Alpha 5
Fixed white screen on boot, wifi and update-script issues
Fixed graphical glitching
Alpha 1-4
Disastrous
Did a full wipe and flashed Alpha 5.
First boot took 2 minutes 40 seconds from cold boot. Subsequent boots took 20-30 seconds.
Rom seems pretty fast although I do see some (minor) slowness coming from CyanogenMod.
HTC setup is working. Including adding wifi and setting up your Google, Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter accounts.
Camera is working at the reported 3mp resolution and facial recognition also works.
Flash works but as others have reported it is slow and Hulu.com still doesn't work so your dreams of Hulu on the go are going to have to wait.
The included gallery app is definitely not as eye candy rich as Google's but it is usable.
As we all know the HTC IME is far better then the stock keyboard.
As stated FM doesn't work but it seems to be trying. It will scan and pick up local stations it just can't seem to produce audio from them.
The proximity and light sensors actually seem to be working better then Stock/CM builds.
USB-MS does not appear to be working. In settings there is a "Connect to PC" option that is set to "Charge Only" with additional options of HTC Sync, Disk Drive, and Internet Sharing. Switching to Disk Drive and trying both ask me and automatic I was not able to have it show as a mounted drive.
With the exception of the USB-MS issue this rom seems very good considering it's alpha state and I can see alot of poeple using this as their daily driver. I did not experience any graphical glitches like in the previous alphas. All in all this is in far better shape already then any Sense port to the G1.
Keep up the good work Paul.
@Paul, I've installed it but something weird happened. I was stuck at the HTC bootscreen and then after a while my "old" wallpaper showed from my CM rom install I did a wipe and everything so no idea what happened.
Trying to reflash as of now
EDIT: works brill! thanks!
Great work! and thankyou v much!

Hmmm, not finding any devices either here I don't think. I am 95% sure I know what the problem is if this is the case, so I can probably fix for next alpha.

Fantastic work, paul! Thanks much, and I'll be dropping by to buy kitchen access!
Notes:
1) My SD card isn't loaded upon boot. I'm an android n00b, but I've noticed that android really doesn't like to run without an SD card, and indeed, I got a couple of spontaneous reboots. This last time, I hit the notification area instantly and pressed the SD card notification, it loaded the card, and I haven't had a reboot since (yet).
2) I've had apps tell me to insert SD card, even though the notification is gone, and things seem to be working well. More details as situation develops.
(sd card is SanDisk 8G Class 2, installed this ROM after a wipe, previous ROM CyanogenMod 5.0.3)
UPDATE: yeah, Titanium Backup is not seeing my SD card at all. Trying to mount it via adb shell, not really sure what the device name is! If anyone knows, chime in! Otherwise, let's learn together!
sorry for the annoyance...and bluetooth? about to become adfree member fo sho
u answered it at modaco, thanks. look forward to alpha 6!
SDcard seems to be OK here?

Just had a reboot on startup. If anyone can grab a logcat at reboot time, that might give us a clue as to what's happening.

any news on sync? none of the syncs seem to be working atm for me.

## confirm about reboot issue , but i had it when testing a keyboard .. type word SIMPLE or something .. then N1 reboot all of sudden ##
reboots galore
When I try to sign in to facebook. when i try to connect to wifi.
Speed is fantastic and my internet is way faster then the stock rom.
Ok when i try to access the downloads section in the android market i get reboots.
I've adb-logcatted and there's nothing immediately obviously, i'm going to use my device and try and establish a pattern of behaviour to the reboots.

Would also like to thank all the other developers here. Arcanexvi, DDX, Nitro, EmericanX and anyone else. If I forgot to add your name, it's not personal. There are just so many great devs here and it's hard to remember all your names lol.

If for some reason you lose data. You will need to open the included "Phone Info" app and toggle your data back. To do that, follow these steps:
1. Open the app and select "Phone Information"
2. Scroll to where you see "Set Preferred Network Type" and change this setting to "GSM Only"
3. Wait for 3G or 4G to kick back in
4. Once data kicks back in, toggle back to "LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA"
=======================================================================
Wifi Tether Settings:
In order to get the included Wifi Tether app working, you need to change the following settings:
If you have not been able to get wifi tether to work with the built-in app. Change these settings, and ONLY THESE SETTINGS!
Device Profile - Generic ICS
Setup Method - Auto
Channel - 11
Change LAN - 192.168.2.0/24
WiFi-driver reload - Checked
Routing Fix - Checked
Quick Fix: Use FoxFi
============================================================================
TEXT MESSAGES FROM VERIZON:
If you get the text messages from Verizon (6250 or whatever). This is how you get rid of that. Login to your Verizon Wireless account. Towards the top, mouse over where it says "My Verizon" and look under "My Plans and Services" and click on "Change Features." Select your phone or the phone that is getting the messages. Now when the next page comes up, look for "Cloud Storage and Sync" and remove the Email Sync option. It's free and will not change your billing. There you go, no more texts
=============================================================================
To fix wifi connection issues:
System Settings > Wifi (word not the button)
While trying to connect to a network, press and hold on the name of the connection and click on "Modify Network'
Check the box that says "Show advanced options"
For "IP Settings" change from DHCP to Static
Fill in ALL the text fields, click save. Forget Network, then reconnect.

Doubtful for GSM but you "may" be able to use the GSM patch that is posted here somewhere. I'm not 100% sure on that though. Thanks!
That GSM Patch is based on GB, don't use it!
Till now there's NO GSM-Patch working on ICS.

Stupid question, but I need to ask....Does this (or ANY) ROM allow led light to blink while screen is ON? All CM based ROMs did on my OG Droid.
It is needed when screen is docked (on....using clock app. .. or watching full screen videos....)
Please don't flame me, if I need to further detail why I want/need this I will. (Everyone asks why a sane person needs led lights while screen is ON....they ask why not use notification bar... Short answer: No notification bar when in full screen....).
Light flow allows color customization (although I haven't gotten this to work in ICS....) but not while screen is ON.
Suggestions? Advise? Help?
Thanks!

Installed this ROM today and so far, it's great! :good:
I see when I place it in the car dock it indicates it's active, but it does not show up. Should it? If not, anyone know where I can find the APK? I do a fair amount of driving and really like this GUI while I drive. I really liked the ICS improvements.

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICKED YOUR DEVICE.
Do research and reading if you are uncertain about this rom.
Do not PM me about the ROM.
WHAT IS IT?
Xylon is fully transformed distribution for Android Devices. It is designed to take full advantage of the device’s hardware and to provide the user pure Android experience.
The team is constantly working on making things better for the users and is happy to do so. We, the team, believe that for one to experience the pure taste of Android, he/she should be provided with something which is fast, intuitive and fluid – That’s where we come in – To provide you that.
Xylon started as a part of the Fruits & Veggies (FNV) project, a community ROM for the Galaxy Nexus and is now set up individually but its roots are based on FNV. Remicks, the founder of the FNV – inspired Daniel MM (Daxmax, founder of Xylon) to build something that would make users love what they use. In Daniel’s words – “This is an FNV based ROM, not FNV. But it has the winds of FNV, and it has more spacious features around the Android world.”

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
CHANGELOGS:
Look at XYAOSP source history for further changes, I will not post them.
02/27 – Repo synced, Initial build so there could be many bugs.
03/06 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.68 with new lowmemorykiller, font size increased a little in statusbar and Trebuchet, you can increase icon size to 120% in Trebuchet, gesture control in Trebuchet, new SuperUser (Koush's).
IMPORTANT NOTES: If you noticed null icons (no action icons) on the NavBar then you need to go to Settings > XY Tools > Navigation Bar > Menu (The vertical three dots) and Reset navbar icons/targets. For Navigation Ring to work, you need to clear data/data1 if you are on previous build.

INSTRUCTIONS:
You need to do a full wipe (factory reset and wipe cache) if you are on a different ROM.
You need to wipe data1 and cache if you are SD booting.
You need to reinstall GAPPS after each ROM installation.
In the case you booted and all you see is black screen for a couple minutes, reboot to see if it's fix.
Initial booting can take several minutes.

Imma test it out also. Fantastic!!
---------- Post added at 02:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:45 AM ----------
After testing for about an hour, I can name a few problems I came across. First thing I noticed was the text and the icons. They were blurry and was an eye strain for me. Second minor problem but the Nav icons are smaller than on the other builds. I tried youtube and the first video I tried didnt work. Just show's play button.
Keep up the great work!!
I'll try this out, thanks.
Just to be clear, only the top link is for the actual rom right? The source links are just for reference? I assume.
Anyone try it yet?

The download link is under Internal ROM towards the middle of the post.
Used this ROM for a day, not bad.
Love the customization. To me though, it feels a little laggy. Also i have been having tons of trouble playing youtube videos on it, both on the website and through the app. they either dont start at all or crash (and i still hear the audio, lol). sometimes they simply wont load.
another observation is that pretty much all the 4.2 ROMs i've tried have pretty bad battery life when compared to 2.3. This is unfortunate but doesnt render the tablet unusable. I'd say if you charge it every night, it is fine. Leave the tablet overnight, without charging, with wifi on (although i know it goes into sleep) the battery drops from 85 to 35 in about 8-9 hours, which is awful.
Personally I am going back to PA 3.1 for now, but will check back if development progresses.
I tried out Xylon: for a first build it works really well and is very responsive (even though I am running it off SD). The couple of problems I ran across are the same one I recently encountered on some other ROMs: e.g., MX Player out-of-control when playing some video in HW mode (even when the Player is force-stopped the audio still keeps going), System-UI crashes when switching to Tablet-UI.
I think this ROM has a lot of potential and is really fun to use.

You might find some helpful pointers at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35971559#post35971559.
Also, make sure that you do have the latest update of ADB (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38118551&postcount=9).

When I run the backup, the last step performs the MD5 sum and it gives an error. I had this with a backup with a different ROM as well yesterday. I didn't retry so it could have been circumstantial. I don't have this ROM installed any longer so I can't attempt another backup of it.

FWIW, the couple of times I encountered "MD5 errors" in doing backup using recovery were when I had insufficient space in the sdcard's first partition ("/boot") to accommodate the size of the needed backup.
The Rom seems to think that /sdcard directory is in the external sd card, So I can't download files from the internet (web browser) with out a microsd, it gives me an error "says no such directory." Is this normal for the Nook Tablet, any way to get around that?

CyanogenMod 11.0 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone and increases performance and reliability over "stock Android" for your device.
Code:
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do
* some research if you have any concerns about features included
* in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these
* modifications, and if you point the finger at us for
* messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked near the bottom of this post is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

What's Not Working:
Netflix: However, there is a workaround for this via use of the Xposed module: [Xposed][HACK] Workaround for Netflix This was discovered by member @hochoch. Thanks be to him. I have attempted to place the install instructions here. However, IF you feel confused please refer to the Workaround site.
To install:
Download and Install the Xposed Installer APK http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk.
... > move to the dir containing the file
... > adb install de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d.apk
You will be asked if you will allow this. Say yes.
Switch to the phone and the app directory. Install the Xposed framework:
... Find Xposed Installer... Tap it... Tap Frameworks... Tap ok... Tap Install/Update...
. . select Remember choice forever... Tap Allow... Tap ok to ReBoot
Download and Install the APK linked in this post: linked apk
... > move to the dir containing the file
... > adb install XposedCM10.1NetflixWorkaround.apk
Startup the Xposed Installer... Tap Modules.. Tap the check box.. Tap ret key twice
After enabling the module in Xposed Installer ... Reboot your phone. Enjoy Netflix.
If your PC hangs on one of the adb install commands... look at your phone and Tap the OK.
And this works on our CM11.0 (4.4.4) xposed-framework

Bluetooth Calling: It's hit or miss. Either doesn't work for some, or has bad quality for others.
Bluetooth will NOT "turn on" our ReZounds. Hardware is not designed for it. In order to make a "Hands free call" you must at least "Activate" the phone. Only has to show the "Lock Screen". Then your Bluetooth must be of the type that has a "Button" you can press to activate voice calling. Mine is a Plantronics Pro and the sequence goes like this:
Naturally your Bluetooth and phone have to be paired.
Push Power Button on Phone.
Push or Press your Bluetooth button.
Listen for command request.
Recite the name in your call list you desire to call.
Hope that the voice to text translation was correct...
MHL/HDMI: This most likely will never work on AOSP and should be considered a "don't hold your breath"
Camcorder: Built in one will scramble the pic IF started in portrait mode. Horizontal mode works ok. However, in both modes you can only get 3 video saves and then you have to reboot to get another 3. Repeat.
Installation InstructionsI recommend users of this rom to be on the latest firmware and Hboot with an s-off device. If you are not on the latest global firmware: Here or Here.
NOTE: For recovery I use CWM Touch 6.0.3.6 but you can also use TWRP. Some wipe options below may not be included in other recovery options. Still wipe what is available the best you can.
1. Put the Rom on the root of your SD Card
2. Compare MD5 Sum
Windows: MD5 Calculator
LINUX: Open Terminal and type: md5sum [path to the rom on your sd card]
Mac: Open a terminal and type: md5 [path to the rom on your sd card]
3. Reboot to Recovery
4. Scroll down and select "Wipe"
5. Wipe the following:
Wipe ALL data/factory reset
Wipe /data
Wipe /cache
Wipe Dalvik-cache
Wipe /boot
Wipe /system
Optionally wipe:
Wipe battery stats

16. Watch the output of the terminal, it should say something like "sent successfully".
17. Finally send this command:
Code:
fastboot reboot
This command reboots your device into Android. Wait for it to boot up and enjoy your new freshly installed CM10.12

[SIZE=+1]Q4: Where did the Developer options in settings go?[/SIZE]
Google/Android has hidden this feature in JB 4.x+ and up. Follow these steps to re-enable the feature:
Go to settings > about phone. Tap Build Number 7 times. Tapping Build Number 7 times re-enables the Developer Options in settings.
[SIZE=+1]Q5: Where did the reboot menu go?[/SIZE]
In Android 4.4 this menu is hidden by default in CM11.0 and must be enabled.
Step 1: Enable Developer options using the method described in Q4.

[SIZE=+1]Q7: Is this ROM GSM compatible?[/SIZE]
Yes. You must enter Mobile Networks and change preferred network list to GSM.
[SIZE=+1]Q8: Why isn't my WiFi working?[/SIZE]
You're most likely s-on then. You must flash the boot.img that comes with the .zip inside of fastboot.
[SIZE=+1]Q9: What recovery is recommended?[/SIZE]
ClockworkMod 6.0.3.6 or higher... TWRP 2.6.0.1 or higher...
[SIZE=+1]Q10: I can't mount my phone to my computer as a mass storage device. How can I manage my internal/external storage with my computer?[/SIZE]
If you have the most recent HTC drivers installed and are still experiencing issues, reboot into your recovery, and try mounting your storage that way. If you are still having issues, try a different cable, USB port, or computer. Lastly, try to avoid using an external USB hub. Those may cause issues, as well.

I believe so. Although I'm unsure of what version may/may not be compatible as I do not use it. FlyHalf would be the best person to answer this.

does art work or are we to stay on dalvik?

Forgive my ignorance on this one, but I simply don't know enough about it to reason this out for myself. Can you guys get an ION version booting? The reason I ask is because I remember the reason you guys stuck with PMEM was because you still had the ability to use the camera/camcorder with that type of memory management. Would building with ION alleviate any of the existing problems since that's more or less the direction that Android wants to take memory management? I'm sure you guys had already thought of all of this, just curious if there was any advantage in trying to get it built with ION (and admittedly it's a selfish "want to know" on by behalf). Congrats and thanks to Fly, Litz, Rev, Neo, KKozma, TheBroken and everybody else responsible for getting this done. It's been awesome to watch you guys work.
Also Bluetooth streaming works. Not sure about bluetooth calling though.
I don't think any of us have tried ion with cm11 yet. I did build cm10.2 ion and it boots, but the camera doesn't work at all.
That said, I am going to give the old college try on using a different display hal for cm11 which requires ion. There's a very small chance it could help with the camera, but don't hold your breath.

As this is still very new even to the cyanogen source...many things are still being pushed to cm11 as well as commits...it will all be ironed out in PMEM soon...ION will take some time
Doh. Stupid double post
So far so good, usb tethering works, alarm, stopwatch and countdown timer work as well.
i have noticed if i change runtime to art i get fc of gmail, gapps and a few other apps, it is in a loop to so only fix was to turn back runtime to dalvik.
other than that keep up the great work! all the devs here are a joy to be apart of this community
update - Also i have been a rom toolbox user since the beginning and it has always worked, but in this rom i am unable to uninstall apps, i can freeze them tho, just thought id share

Make sure you do a format /data the first time you install the rom
(backup your internal storage first if you want to keep something)
External storage (portable mode)
The Marshmallow version has per app permissions / security.
Meaning that unless the app has root access it can only access a special folder on the external storage.
If it needs to access another location the app needs to request it at runtime (so the app needs to be compatible with the new request method)
You also need to navigate with the Android Storage/Document Provider (If your external storage / cards don't show up, click on the 3dots menu at the top right of the window => show SD cards)
If the app is not compatible you can also try to grant the storage access permission in Settings => apps => click on the app => Permissions
It might help
By default all apps can also write to a special Location on the external storage in the form of :
/storage/<STORAGE_NAME>/Android/data/<APP_PACKAGE_NAME>/
where <APP_PACKAGE_NAME> is com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup for TiB for example
Titanium Backup - External storage use
To be able to get write access on the external storage you can use one of these 2 solutions:
1) In TiB preferences => Backup Folder Location => click on Storage Provider at the top (click to change)
Choose DocumentProvider Storage
If your external storage / cards don't show up, click on the 3dots menu at the top right of the window => show SD cards
Click on your SD card then click on Select
Titanium will now have access granted to that location and you can choose / create a folder for TiB on your external storage
Note: only TiB will have access to that location , so if ever you decide to go back to Lollipop or another android version it won't be backward compatible.
2) By Default like all other apps TiB can write to its own dedicated folder on the external storage.
iso if you move your TiB backup folder to the location : /storage/<STORAGE_NAME>/Android/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/
it'll be seen by Titanium Backup and still be accessible from Lollipop if ever you go back.
Google Play Movies
Our current Widevine DRM libs are not compatible in MM.
So you can't play a movie on the tablet with Google Play Movies as it requires that.
Starting a movie to play on chromecast should be fine as the drm will be the chromecast one in that case.
Hardware keyboard layouts
More languages have been added in the default asusec keyboard
Set the keyboard layout through Settings => Language & Input => asusec => setup keyboard layouts
These also allow live switching without reboot with ctrl + space
MultiWindows
Multiwindow allows you to split the screen in 2, 3 or 4 panes
you can switch an app back and forth between multiwindow mode and regular mode while it's running
NavBar:
- To switch between full screen and split View you can use the
NavBar Buttons
The app that currently has the focus (or the latest used app if you're on the Desktop) will be used for the main pane (left and/or top depending on the mode and rotation)
And it will lay the remaining most recently used apps in the rest of the available 1-2-3 panes depending on the icon you click
- If you press a multiwindow icon again when in splitview mode, it'll bring the focused app back to fullscreen mode.
- To change focus simply Tap on the app or use the
NavBar Button
That button can also be used in non multiwindow mode to switch quickly between the 2 most recent apps.
Global Actions:
Actions to switch the app between fullscreen / splitview 2-3-4 panes and switch between the 2 most recent apps have been added
so you can bind them to a key / key combination with the Global KeyOverride or long press on navbar button too.
Note: Most apps works ok in splitview mode, but some of them might crash or not refresh correctly sometime.
To manually position an app in one of the pane:
For the moment either reorder your apps before clicking on an auto mode icon,
or you can also activate the default Marshmallow Multiwindow mode to get extra icons to positions an app in a specific pane (activate it in developer options )
Then position the apps with the icons from the Recents screen. (default MM recents icons are for 2 or 4 panes)
Oh yes.
Thanks for the Marshmallow goodness! Everything seems pretty smooth so far. One thing though - I can't seem to be able to reboot to recovery using the Power menu - it only reboots the device.
I just tried the camera and I get an error that it can't connect to the camera. Will try a reboot and report back. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Update 1) I can confirm that long pressing the reboot option does not boot into recovery.
Update 2) A reboot solved the camera issue, both front and rear cameras are working.
Update 3) Adding a new google account causes a reboot but does add the account.
Update 4) After leaving it alone over night it suffered from SOD and drained the dock battery to 0%.
Thank you for your work TacoNikky! I can't wait to try this tonight. I checked the numbers and assume since I am on your KatKiss 5.1.1 I have the right bootloader and TWRP?
Can anybody report on twitches and SOD so far?

Bootloader and TWRP are same which is for lollipop :good:
No SOD but there are some twitches(Kernel is not lite thats the reason)
Been using the rom for about five hours now. Was working fine. Got most of my apps back using Titanium. Was using email and the web. Than I got home and let it sit a while and all of a sudden it started a boot loop. After boot it will hard reset after about 2 minutes while I am doing nothing with the tablet. Any suggestions?
Besides for that current issue it runs just as smooth (maybe smoother) as your 5.1.1.
The real test will be leaving it over night to test the SOD.
Thank you so much for releasing this. My prime is charged up at home and I will install this tonight and let you know how it goes
Overnight results. No SOD but I left it in the dock and they were at 70% charge respectively. By morning the dock was dead and the tablet was at 50%.
My random reset problem stopped after I wiped dalvik and cache.
UPDATE: It seems I get the random reboot after I used the power off/reboot menu in the OS. The only way to stop it is if I boot into recovery using the volume/power button and restart from recovery.
Sent from my TF300T using Tapatalk
So I noticed a new setting under Devices->Dock. "Wakeup tablet with key press." This was enabled (and not functioning correctly). So now I will try it again tonight with it disabled.
UPDATE NEXT MORNING: Left it at 87%/86% and by morning they were at 86%/85%! I don't have many apps installed yet to wake the tablet at night.
Also, when I tried to install Facebook yesterday the whole tablet slowed way down, the screens tarted twitching badly, and it stayed that whay until a hard reboot. It happed twice before I gave up trying to intall Facebook.
UPDATE: Okay, changing my governor to *performance from *interactive stopped to extreme slow down/screen twitching. I was also able to install Facebook with it set to performance. Not sure how that will affect doze settings in 6.0 if am always in performance mode though.

Is that Browser Sync for a specific browser? It seems to have no effect on the stock Browser - I still don't see my Bookmarks.
Just did a clean install of this ROM and aside from the known screen flicker I am having a problem where the screen seems to just turn off while i am using it. I then have to hit the power button to turn it back on again. I have set the screen timeout value to 10 minute but that didn't seem help.
Other than those issues the ROM s been working very well.

After you have installed the apk you have to go to the Device Settings. Then to your Google Account. Turn on Sync Browser and Calender. Now you should be able to see your Bookmarks in the Standard Browser.
In next version, compatibility pack and bookmark sync will be included in the zip file :good:
Kernel is still in beta condition, 'screen turn off' issue will be fixed by kernel updates
I got a lot of random Reboots. Any idea or is it cause of the Beta Kernel?

Usb external hard drive don't seem to work, is this to do with permissions, it detects it, ie es file explorer shows a new usb drive but can't access it
