s2+ developemnt forum? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there officially an android development thread for samsung galaxy s2 plus?
cause it seems like, the s2+ is compliable with custom roms

It would be nice to have development section for sgs2plus.
I cannot wait to flash custom rom on my sgs+ but so far i cannot find any custom roms

Me 2

okay so now we wait

If owners of the S2+ want roms sooner rather than, I'd suggest you all pitch in & buy one of the developers a device. Few devs will make a rom for a device they can't personally put their hands on (You might find a dev who will port/make changes to an existing rom so it runs on this particular device tho).

Sell that ***** and buy real guy I9100

Next your gonna ask how to move apps 2 sd lol. Phone to new to do anything with it. Many people asking about the s2+. Least you lot will get past 5.0.0 we won't
We will get stuffed on 4.2.2
Gt i9100
Alliance v7.2
Dorimanx8.1
Xxls8

Why selling the phone ? As both phones are identical except the internal storage (gt9100 has 8GB and Gt9105 has 4GB), but who cares about that ? Not Me
So porting the rom shouldn't be that hard ? For someone whos experienced with cooking rom's

16and 32 in s2

Odp: s2+ developemnt forum?
9105p means, your phone is nfc enabled, so if don't need nfc you can flash 9105 custom rom, if you can find one
If you do please share it with us

Help me on I9100g galaxy s 2

I'm a I9100g galaxy s2 user. Just yesterday only I came to know that my s2 is an old one out in whole of s2 series. Can someone guide me if there is a dedicated forum for I9100g users. If not please tell me which all custom rom options I have.

I believe u got it wrong.. 9100 is the old where 9100G is the newer version
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
There is no dedicated forums, as for Roms please look in the developer sections for thread titles that say i9100G.
Word of advice if it says i9100 do not flash it, it will brick your device.

But performance wise I9100 is better than G version. Also I have only found 3 custom roms for I9100G. If u have any idea of more custom roms or developers please guide me.

[Q] What are some good ROMs for a tech illiterate friend?

So my friend has a Telus Fascinate and after using her phone briefly I decided she really could use a custom ROM for improved performance and to remove bloat. She doesn't own a computer and uses her phone in place of one. I am familiar with rooting, recovery and flashing custom ROMs. I've got a few questions and preferences:
I'm looking for something that will boost performance and remove bloat.
I need it to be incredibly stable as I will be flashing it and then it will be out of hands.
It doesn't matter if it's TouchWiz or not. I would prefer ICS if possible.
I've spent a bit of time lurking here but I don't think I have the time to completely educate myself on a phone I will have in possession for a few hours at most.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide, I really appreciate it!

I don't mind being on call for problems. She lives super close to me and I've given her my old Xperia Play as a temp phone because I need a USB Jig to get into download mode which I had to order. I just want something simple and stable enough for everyday use so I can minimize my involvement.

Gooapple Rom for i9100?

Hey
I have been searching the Internet if there is a Gooapple Rom (iOS clone based on Android) for the galaxy s2 but I couldn't find one.
Do you know if this exists? If yes can you post the link? If not, maybe someone experienced in porting might pick this up? The original Roms can be found on http://rom.gooapple.com/
In case you are gonna flame me why I'd like to see an iOS Rom - why not? Android is about the freedom of choice and the more choise the better

Best/most supported smartphone.

Hi, I have a HTC One S. I can't complain about the phone but there aren't a lot official ROMs for this cellphone. On the new website of aokp isn't any ROM for the one s anymore, cyanogenmod has only cm10 stable and some 10.1 nightly and there is screen tearing, too. Or for example Ubuntu touch isn't avaible. Or a super nexus ROM. Or miui 5.
So my question is what is a good supported but also powerful smartphone?
Only Nexus devices get the most development support. Get a Nexus 4...
Sell it and equip yourselves with a nexus you won't start a thread like this again - for nexus something new pops up everyday
OK and any other devices? Maybe for people who are reading this thread and dont like nexus?
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
If you don't like nexus don't worry you will also able to use latest android resources.
But you need to search in google that how to make a own custom rom

The Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note II all have great developer support, the US market versions of these phones have even better developer support but the International versions are great too. The Xperia Z is another phone with great developer support as well. All of these devices have official Cyanogenmod support, and AOKP support (Except for the Galaxy S4 which at this moment doesn't have official AOKP) support.

Its not simple but these days there are tutorials on compiling/debugging that makes life easier for newbies wanting to take first steps into aosp development
Bro making a rom is hard for us but not impossible.
You just need to learn how to port rom's from another device and how to modify your stock kernel to work properly in your custom rom.
Don't forget that the nexus/cm rom makers are also a human like us.
Try to search in Google.com
