Text from 6250 - Motorola Droid RAZR

I keep getting a text from 6250 with a message that says VZWNMN:1. Can anyone tell me what the hell this is? Called Verizon and they told me it's a app i downloaded from a third party but with TBU, I just install the same apps I've always had so idk. I just want a solution to this annoying problem. Thanks

I used to get these after changing ROMs. It is email notification messages. Every time you get an email you will get that message. You can probably look at my user name and threads started by me and find the thread. It was a long time ago.
Replied "stop" to that message or cleared a setting in my Verizon on actual webpage.

Edit: I thought I started a thread about this. Any luck?

Changed ROMs and I haven't received any yet. But I appreciate the help.

Multiple Sms messages

Anyone else experiencing receiving multiple Sms messages. If so does anyone know how to fix it?

Yes I have the same problem. Don't know the solution though. I got 5 of one sms and 3 of another today. Very annoying.

Is this happening from all contacts, or just a select few? If a select few, check to see if the messages coming from are from one carrier. I've had this happen to me a few times on another phone. The issue was from the other carrier, not much you can do anything about except report the issue to customer service. If you are on limited texting plan at least, otherwise ignore it.
It's from multiple carriers for me.

This has been happening to me a lot also. I have tried to do pretty much everything, but nothing has worked. I tried handcent's option to replace the stock messaging system, which only lead to me not receiving about 50% of texts. Hopefully someone has a fix for this? It's very annoying

Sorry bud, I can't parse your message here.
Yup same problem.. duplicate messages even with the stock app..
Call Verizon just for the purpose of them getting the message.
It's annoying when you get 6 messages.. I wonder if it's counting as multiple txt on the bill..

i would like to hope its doubtful that its costing extra as its mostly a problem of the phone pulling the messages multiple times, basically not ticking the "received" box on the server side of things. afterall, it is easier to count them as they pass through the network versus your phone counting and reporting back, not very efficient... mines kicked up again recently.. and yes rather annoying...
I noticed this too but it only happened after I used ATK more aggressively. I rebooted my phone and the messages stopped coming in repeatedly. Seems to have gone away now that I'm rooted. Hope that helps someone out there.

reboot, dial *228 (on Verizon) goes through the phone activation, problem solved.
Vzw tech said it could be the towers, or the phone... the only thing he was really sure about was that this fixed it.

Which option...1 or 2? I would assume #2.
I have done this FYI, it did not fix it.
Option 1 seemed to work for me.

Multi services?
Ok i intermitently have this same problem but noticed something interesting that may be related? I downloaded a startup manager program to see what was starting up on reboot yesterday and noticed there are 3 text message services running? Im assuming this may be the cause of multiple messages recieved so I have disabled 2 of the 3 instances and was still able to recieve sms but not sure if this will fix the issue or not
If you look that is the text msg app listening to different events, not 3 copies of it loading.

Gmail problem

Im wondering if anyone else is having problems with the gmail app on their phone.
I receive all my messages just fine but I just noticed that the messages I have tried to send just sit there with the sending written in red beneath it. I have just tried sending one from the webpage to see if it works. The messages have been sitting in my outbox for two days now. It was working fine last week and I can't figure out what has happened with it now.
Any help greatly appreciated thank you
I get this as well. Very annoying. It'll sit for days saying sending...

O I forgot to mention that I tried another data clear earlier today and ut WORKED!! HURRAY! Sorry to the people who got late messages from me
I've used it completely fine without any flaws. Just to mention I don't use wifi at all, this is completely 3G. Maybe that has something to do with it possibly?

Google voice

Van someone help me get rid of this dam Google voice. I have uninstalled it went online and unchecked it and still it takes my voicemails. I also tried *72 and nothing. Help help please.

Try setting it up again. Skip the integration, then pick your carrier when it prompts you where you want your vms
For getting Sprint VM to work again
Dial *38, wait for the beeps, then hang up.
Supposedly this works after uninstalling GV. If it does let us know please.
Try *720.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
You may need to delete all numbers from GV. Then try putting a new number in. That was the only way I could get rid of GV integration,
I just went online and dis-associated my phone. It's worked twice so far. The only reason I keep Voice is personalized greetings for individuals and it saves my messages and call logs.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm running beans build 7 but can't get voice or data. I've seen posts about getting the hidden menu enabler and another post about going back to stock and enabling there and then flash a romantic but I'm new at this so I wanted someone to help me understand the steps for the first one I mentioned if it is in fact correct to fix this issue.

Blocking Texts

In the past, when I've blocked numbers through Sprint's 'My Device' preferences, the people I block that text me would get a quick text back from a 5 digit number stating that my phone isn't accepting text messages. That was when I was with any sense ROM, especially stock. With CM10.1 it does nothing. I'm assuming this is because it doesn't have the PRL Update, Profile Update, and Sprint Zone. Does anyone know if that is true? If that is true, before I give this a try myself, does anyone know if Sprint Zone is safe to run on an AOSP ROM? I'd assume not but at the same time I would think it would be alright. Or maybe Sprint just doesn't notify users anymore that another user isn't accepting text messages? Any help will be appreciated greatly.
Edit: I flashed MeanBean and that didn't seem to make a difference. Even with the service update immediately after making the changes. I'm at a loss here.

Try Mr. Number ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrnumber.blocker) I find it helpful for unknown numbers as well since users can leave comments about telemarketers and what not.

Use a black listing app from the play store or the feature inside the SMS menu if your ROM supports it

ive blocked numbers from them from my evo and i still get messages from those people on occasion, where as the blacklisting app blocked em for good.
i recc a blacklisting app over all else. But yeah you can do that from sprint.com or just give sprint customer service a call, and they will do it for you.

Huh. That's odd. Never had that problem with that. I know that customers can do that through Sprint.com. The problem isn't finding a way to block numbers. The problem is that when I use any block option on Sprint.com that anybody who texts me, who isn't in Sprint, won't receive a message stating that my phone isn't accepting messages. Even though Sprint reps say that all users on any carrier receive that message. But I didn't expect a Sprint rep to know what they're talking about.
For future reference to everyone: read the post before replying. Just an idea.
Thanks for the help.
