You should also update your updater script

If i recall correctly, I read somewhere that you can flash kernels via cwm for p/sola/u. I did make the updaterscript to flash it that way.
If i'm wrong, please flash with flashtool. or use: fastboot flash boot boot.img

You could explain a little further all those "features"...

Sure. Ill update op soon

No I mean it's saying "flashing slidingXU kernel".
Also, can you maybe make CM version too?

Lol maybe thats because i borrowed that meta-inf as i didnt know the command and partition for xperia devices. (via cwm).
Cm version sure. but before that just gonna be testing some experimental changes on ics from the xperia 2011 device sources. if they work great then..

newbie question sir,,, what's the difference of this kernel to slidingXU? pardon me for asking such a question but i really want to try ur kernel.

Both kernels have their own plus points
This kernel supports oc (as said in op) where as sliding kernel keeps device "safe" by not featuring oc
Both are built on latest kernel sources from sony... And both have different developers

i flashed this kernel via cwm but problem is that i can't connect mount my memory card .. via sd mounter app xperia u
anyone hass this problem o its only me...?
using terra rom

---2 Possible reasons. Possibly the first one
1. Your apps store previous data, which conflicts. try wiping the apps data and wipe dalvik / cache in cwm
2. The read / write speed increase in kernel source.

Here i've tried compile kernel for Neo/V users. Thanks to kormatoes for asking me to make kernel for AOKP. Then later i decided to make for Stock ICS too. Thanks to those who help me test these kernel since i've owned Xperia Ray not Xperia Neo/V
[ XNeo AOKP v1.2.431 ] AOKP BASED ROM NEW

[ XNeo ICS v2.1.431 ] ICS 4.0.4 NEW
[ XNeo Kernel V2.0 ] ICS BASED ROM NEW Build from 4.1.H.0.4 kernel source for Play ICS Beta
### LOST & FOUND ###
[ XNeo ICS v1.1 Repack ] ICS based rom
[ XNeo AOKP v1.1 ] AOKP ROM
NOTE: [For stock ICS ONLY] If you come from other kernel, please flash this modules using cwm
Updates
// XNeo ICS v2.0 - 4.1.H.0.4 source, patches: ZRAM, smartassv2
// XNeo ICS v1.1 Repack - re-added Intellidemand. swap/ext4 support. tun.ko module in /res/modules
// AOKP v1.1 - added Intellidemand gov (dont use with IO vr, caused reboot when screen off)
Intellidemand:
Intellidemand aka Intelligent Ondemand from Faux is yet another governor that's based on ondemand. Unlike what some users believe, this governor is not the replacement for OC Daemon (Having different governors for sleep and awake). The original intellidemand behaves differently according to GPU usage. When GPU is really busy (gaming, maps, benchmarking, etc) intellidemand behaves like ondemand. When GPU is 'idling' (or moderately busy), intellidemand limits max frequency to a step depending on frequencies available in your device/kernel for saving battery. This is called browsing mode. We can see some 'traces' of interactive governor here. Frequency scale-up decision is made based on idling time of CPU. Lower idling time (<20%) causes CPU to scale-up from current frequency. Frequency scale-down happens at steps=5% of max frequency. (This parameter is tunable only in conservative, among the popular governors)
To sum up, this is an intelligent ondemand that enters browsing mode to limit max frequency when GPU is idling, and (exits browsing mode) behaves like ondemand when GPU is busy; to deliver performance for gaming and such. Intellidemand does not jump to highest frequency when screen is off.

How to make simple ZRAM init.d script
1. Using Root Explorer, got to /sytem/etc/init.d/
2. press Menu then create new file
3. paste these in it
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
sysctl -w vm.swappiness=40
echo "1" > /sys/block/zram0/reset
echo $((50*1024*1024)) > /sys/block/zram0/disksize
mkswap /dev/block/zram0
swapon /dev/block/zram0
4. close and save it as 60ZRAM
5. set permission to 777 or "rwxrwxrwx" (tick all)
6. take note: 50*1024*1024 = 50MB zram disksize. if you want to set 30MB, change 50 to 30.

asked that question on the topic AOKP Neo / v was wondering if your kernel has support for USB on the go, external memory, such as pen drive. Tested with mouse and pen drive worked but I can not seem to have the appropriate drivers. From what I saw in some threads here at XDA need these drivers.
I did the flash, I'm using the AOKP kormatoes, and so far everything is normal.

KA15 + this kernel (don't know if it's the latest build, got it from sirkay directly):
Slow charging in the end is because of simultaneous video recording and GPS logging (will get even worse now because I added automatic bluetooth enabling ).

I'm using this kernel on I-Scream 10 and it working good so far, the only thing you have to do is flash stock kernel with stock WiFi modules reboot and then flash back to this kernel and woala WiFi is working. That is how I did it working when crossing from NightElf kernel to this one.

[KERNEL][26 APR] GLaDOS V1.4 for JB 4.2.2

Aperture Laboratories presents
GLaDOS V1.4
The latest innovation in human-smartphone interaction. Our scientist have shown in extensive tests that humans operating our kernel on their devices experience 67% more joy in life while simultaneously the likelihood of being maimed or killed by falling space debris is significantly reduced. Also preliminary human trials indicate that it might offer some protection against lethal dosages of gamma radiation and blows to the head with a rod-like object.
Features:
Based on stock Android kernel Jelly Bean 4.2.2 JDQ39
Simple I/O (SIO) and Read-over-Write (RoW) block schedulers
JRCU
FSync Control version 1
Generic CPU hotplug driver version 1
UV interface (Francisco Franco)
GPU OC interface (Francisco Franco)
CIFS
NFS client
NTFS read/write support
Cleaned out all unnecessary kernel features and drivers
Various other tweaks
I do not support the Cyanogen Mod (CM) ROM and if you run into any problems using it with this kernel you are on your own.
Download (only for 4.2.2 JB ROMs):
http://goo.im/devs/Ezekeel/GLaDOS-Nexus7 (thanks to goo-inside.me for hosting)
http://d-h.st/users/Ezekeel/?fld_id=5237#files (thanks to Dev-Host for hosting)
GLaDOS Control app:
Market: https://market.andro...l.gladoscontrol
Android Pit (accepts Paypal): http://www.androidpi.../GLaDOS-Control
If you had a different custom kernel installed before, you might need to reflash the original kernel that came with your ROM (boot.img in zip).
During installation the cache partition, Dalvik-cache and modules and init.d scripts from previously installed kernels are cleaned.
Source code:
https://github.com/Ezekeel/GLaDOS-nexus-7
This kernel is optimized to run best at the default options. There no need to change options like for example CPUfreq governor or min/max frequency - changing anything can have a negative effect on stability and performance.
Do not use profiles or hotplugging, they are unnecessary and only lead to instabilities.
If you experience any problems and are on a nightly or kanged ROM, try the latest stable version of that ROM first. I will not give support or answer any questions if you do not try this before reporting a problem with the kernel.
If you experience stability problems like reboots, freezes, FCs and SoDs and you did OC, first try changing back to the stock settings. If this solves the problems, your OC configuration is not stable. There are some indications that OC settings which run fine at high battery charges might still cause problems at lower battery charges. So to be safe always check that your OC configuration runs fine at low battery like 5%.
When reporting a bug always include information about your ROM and hardware model. Also be as precise as possible when describing the problem. Just because a single person is experiencing a problem, it does not mean there actually is a problem with the kernel. I always wait until at least one other person can confirm the issue before I look into it. So if you see someone posting a bug report, do not be shy and feel free to confirm the issue or if you do not have the problem let me know that too.
When asking for a feature you would like to see implemented in GLaDOS always provide a link with information about this tweak and preferably also a link to the source code.
Aperture bootanimation courtesy of Rascarlo ([twitter]rascarlo[/twitter]).

I'm not sure what it is. I'll try to get a video of it. It's the kernel as i have no problem on Franco or lean.

Good to see you back after your accident Ezekeel

I have released GLaDOS V1.2 adding the RoW (Read-over-Write) I/O scheduler and fixing the kernel crash when unmounting USB OTG devices.
Flashed the new kernel and its super smooth. But all 4 cores are on constantly. Even when is idle. Is it supposed to act like that?

Thanks a lot, i'll test it right now and report back if it's needed.
It's damn good to see you around Ezekeel
I'll try to flash it again to test soon. My first attempt resulted in a boot loop for some reason. I am on the most current bootloaders too.

Yeah the script worked. As long as you dont have any init.d tweaks you want/need. Guess i need to edit the script just in case

I don't have much free time these days and I'm on cm9, so I won't be able to test your stock kernel.. :/ I'm sure it will rull though! Thanks for your efforts!

There are additional governors and IO schedulers in this kernel, unless there are some I'm missing that you know about, it would be great if you give me names.
As for overclocking there is NO WAY I will be adding them no matter what, I bricked my Xperia P just by overclocking it to 1.2GHz I don't want to risk other's devices, even if it will not brick another device, but losing my device is enough, if some of my kernel users bricked their device because of overclocking I'm not going to take any responsibility + I know what it feels like having a bricked device. Not to mention so far I found users are extremely happy with the performance they got from this kernel, I still don't understand why you want overclocking?

I agree with you. This kernel is like having cm installed. Sinfe yesterday evening no lag, no screen locks or something. It just fly, try and youll see. I have stock .54 firmware, debloated and fidelity for sound and cybershot for my cam. I have no other mods installed.
Finally I got very snappy phone with all the joy.

100MHz is tool low, about 200MHz is optimal minimun, less that that can actually cause drains and stability issues.
